I’m know this has been theorized previously, but I just wanted to let everyone know Matthew Mercer pretty much confirmed Native Son would have Tygra’s backstory.

Sadly, I don’t theink they will bring Tygar’s mind powers to the show, mostly because the kittens’ trial was almost about that, in a different way.
About him calling Bengali “brother”, I think it was mainly because Bengali was made a ThunderCat then, and Tygra might have said “borther” in a ThunderCats Brotherhood way, not as a family bond.
I think they might bring Tygra’s mind powers into the show, but I don’t think it’ll happen any time soon.
If my theory on him getting one of the stones proves true he might get the powers from the stone.
I’m happy we’ll be getting a Tygra-based episode soon.
ASorry, I’m still doubtful on how much it will be Tygra-centered. I know it’ll be about Tygra, but as the show goes on, it might be 95% Lion-o adn 5% Tygra… dont’ ask me how, they can find a way to do it. Hope I’m wrong though… only 2 more weeks to find out!
Also, I hope they don’t please themselves giving each character an episode in a roll (Tygra-kittens-Pumyra-maybe Cheetara - maybe Bengali) and that’s it, back to Lion-o.

Wonder how the next episose (Part 2 of the trails) will end. Is Lion-O going to save the thundercats? I hope Tygra won’t make a big mistake and then thinks he is not a good leader.

I’m afraid this will be.
Hopefully, Lion-o will mature in the trials and comfort him by saying something like “you did great, and I’m sorry I haven’t listened to you before” or something like that. I think that sort of things are what Lion-o needs to say to show them all he has finally grown up, and that’s what Tygra needs to hear to grow up, feel valued and stop holding grudges against his brother.
I kinda think Tygra will fail and something tells me he’ll be a lot harder on himself for failing than he even is to Lion-O.

Yeah, I agree with you Balgus. That seems more plausible from his character. Then again, you never know. But that’s what I’d expect. Honestly, I’m waiting for someone to smart-mouth back at him. Panthro we know will do it, but I was really hoping Cheetara would too..

And Tygra sits there with an expression like :eek: …> lovestruck again. And folks laugh at him. Let us spread a little of the humiliation through the group.

I was TOTALLY against Tygra’s character being altered when I heard about it before the show came out:mad:, I worshipped OS Tygra, he was my first hero as a kid. That being said it didn’t take more than one half of that premiere for me to love NS Tygra:D, I don’t know if it’s Matthew Mercer’s portrayal that won me or his new design or his snarky personality but Tygra is definitely one bad kitty and he’s quite handsome for a cartoon;). Oddly enough though Tygra was perhaps the most changed for this reboot than anyone I can STILL see the OS Tygra shy/insecure guy complex in NS Tygra through his facade of coolness.
I’m sad when Tygra’s being a complete jerk to Lion-O but love him when he’s being a snarky tiger with no real barbs to his words and I think he’s kind of adorable when he’s vulnerable and he’s easily wounded with his feelings when it comes to Cheetara especially. I think people tend to forget Tygra is ONLY 19-20 years of age he’s just entering adulthood he’s still got some growing to do.
I agree with the above. He’s quite the handsome one for a cartoon! I wonder if they will bring in his supposed “cousin” Bengali, and how they could remake that hunk ?! OH MY! 
Seconding/ thirding all this right here. Despite how much as he talks, the reason Tygra has more ‘experience’ than Lion-O is because Lion-O didn’t apply himself. They’re so close in age, I don’t feel that’s as much a deciding factor.
And unfortunately, Lion-O has many more expectations thrust upon him, expectations he somewhat should have expected and could have prepared himself for. Oh well, he’s learning now. The same as Tygra has lessons to learn about compassion, and empathy. I’m really excited for next week’s episode though. Can’t wait to see how things roll once they’re in Mummra’s pyramid. How you gonna handle that Tygra?..surrounded by technology…Hopefully he’ll use Panthro to the fullest.
With all the talk about Tygra being snarky, sarcastic, bitter, jealous, angry, resentful, etc etc etc, which I don’t disagree with by the way, doesn’t anyone else think that is generally how 19 - 20 year olds are supposed to behave? And I can see how this NS character with all of this anger and resentment etc can grow and mature, and all of these personality traits can lead to Tygra becoming pretty much like the quiet, wise, intelligent strategist as he matures and becomes older, becoming more like the character we loved from the OS?? Or is that just me?
Might be, it’s possible.
But OS Tygra claimed to be shy as a child, and i think he wasn’t as aggressive as NS Tygra. Of course, he must have been brave to become a ThnudnerCat in the first place.
Lions and tigers are known for pride.
Of course. I know that these are completely different characters, so there is room to make this young Tygra more aggressive/sarky/etc, I just think that with the right guidance/circumstances, those particular traits can mature quite well into the wise, intelligent Tygra that more closely resembles that of the OS in later seasons (if they go on for that long, and I hope they do!) It would be a really good way to develop the character I think.
I don’t think that Tygra mature into wise, I think the wise guy will be a cleric, maybe Cheetara ^^. But I think he will become the intelligent strategist.
I hope he won’t change too much and become exactly the OS Tygra. To be honest I don’t like the OS Tygra so much. Of course he was a very important member of the TC, but I always thought he was too boring and blank (I guess many members here don’t agree with me).
I love the NS Tygra for being proud and brave. I like his mistakes; of course he has too learn and mature a lot.
Whatever they plan with Tygra…become a wise guy, gain mind powers, etc… I just hope he will also always be a brave warrior.
And yes, I also hope they go on very long. I would’t mind to see 10 seasons. 
Tygra had a good showing this episode. He did a pretty good job up until the ambush. Odd that they’d make him fail in the same way Lion-O did pre-trials.
I think he does have the upper hand when it comes to strategy and stealth.
It was nice to see him acknowledge his brother, and accept that he may have been wrong to doubt his so.
