Speaking of prices. It seems the Ultimates prices have all increased by $10.
Ah yes. Thatās what I remember when I checked the preorder on Snake Mountain, full front payment from Polyphony. Thatās why I passed on this vendor.
Prices here are odd. Wave 1 has gone up, my vendor has them for $201 and Polyphony for $210 whereas I got them for $176. All other figs from the vendor Iām booked at apart from big Mumm-Ra are $51, heās priced at $69.

Polyphony for some reason are more expensive across the board compared to the vendor Iām booked with. Amazing how figures travelling about a 15000 mile round trip can somehow work out cheaper.
Interestingly Iāve only seen one seller with the glow Mumm-Ra, and itās not my vendor or Polyphony and heās asking $68 for him. I assume heās just ordering from BBTS, not sure how heās making any money there.
I should say the 2021 upcoming announced waves are supposed to all be increased $10. It doesnt make that much difference in the UK. Most UK shops charge Ā£45-60 for each Ultimate and the Transformers Ultimate are listed for pre-order at Ā£55.
Even with the quality control issues and buck and articulation issues if Ultimate were Ā£20-30 I would definitely cherry pick some figures from the different lines. But not at best Ā£60.
It wouldāve been amazing if Super7 updated the ThunderTank design based on the model sheet, something like this, but instead they made a box with tracks and claws for $ 500.

I donāt understand. Super7ās design is not terribly off-model. To my eyes, it reads like the ThunderTank on the model sheet and the cartoon. This swoopy design youāre linking to does not, and I would have been livid if thatās what theyād put out.
Please, Baedal, someone, anyone, explain to me the ways in which Super7ās ThunderTank is so egregiously off-model, because I just donāt see it. If anything, it looks especially on-model, particularly the cockpit.
I will say that the rear interior looks off to me, but that has nothing to do with a model sheet and everything to do with how inconsistently the cartoon portrayed the interior. Sometimes there were computer terminals, other times porthole windows. Sometimes they were seated in rows, and other times in a semicircle. The catblaster is never shown when the rear canopy is closed, so where is it stowed? Why all this inconsistency? Because, as far as I can tell, there was no model sheet for the rear interior. So Super7 did their best to square it all, and the end result is that the right number of figures and the catblaster can all fit. Huzzah. Should the seats be Feliner-brown? No, probably not. Could they have referenced more episodes to achieve something that looked at least a bit more familiar? Maybe. But off-model it is not, because unless Iām mistaken there is no model reference for that compartment.
(Please, if there is, someone post it, because now Iām super curious.)

Sorry but this is just completely off model to me; and while it is a great interpretation it looks nothing like the cartoon. No wonder we disagree as I simply cannot see how this can match the cartoon look. It is way too flat.

Here is my two cents on the topic.
The LJN toys were not cartoon accurate specially the Tank, and wow! they made me happy when I was a kid and as an adult collector they still do. For 30+ years Iāve been waiting for a toy company to bring the franchise back to life and Iām actually enjoying what Super7 is doing with Thundercats.
The Thundertank blew my mind! Just the idea of having a scaled vehicle that will fit all Thundercats is something that possibly a lot of collectors including myself have been waiting for a long long timeā¦ LJN didnāt do it, Bandai had the chance and didnāt go for it. Iām happy to see someone actually trying to bring this to life and in my opinion this is a very close representation of what I see in the cartoon.

Still him-hawing bout the tank myself. Will probably end up pulling the trigger. I really wish they would of did the art work different. Pumyra in the back with that made up weapon is very glaring (should either be Snarf or Thunderkittens). And if we arenāt going to include Monkian and Vultureman they could of at least gave Mumm-Ra his cape.

Sure, itās a redesign, itās not the same of the screen. I can overlay the images so you can see that it was based more on the model sheet than the Super7 design, just like the Icon Heroes design, it is much more accurate than the S7 too.

The pre-order is up, along with a bunch of new renderings. It looks like the brown seats from the version in the Pixel Dan interview video are now a bluish grey color, which looks much better.

I didnāt realize it was fully up on Super7, I thought they were still teasing it. Then after reading posts I decided to check it out.
Well, I think itās simply amazing and a dream come true. Especially that box. The price is ridiculous, but I ordered one. I never got one as a kid and it was my holy grail. I simply cannot pass this opportunity up and I feel very fortunate to have the funds.
Edit - I guess it just went up? Funny.

Will probably have to wait for EE/BBTSās live preorder offer for this. Only just need the ādetailsā of the 'Tank from S7ās page. Also, I love the āPile of Lootā options of BBTS, specially now that they offered 180days (6 months) to keep your purchased items for you to collect your orders in one box.
Just ordered it on Super 7. Itās pricey, but this just makes me happy. Iāve been wanting this for 30 plus years.
Just realized BBTS is preselling the 'Tank for an extra $50 the SRP ($500). Thatās other than the 6~9% state taxes. Would I sacrifice an extra $50 and would pay $450 on arrival or go with the 3-payment plan direct from S7 that will add up total to $473 + tax? Sideshow has a monthly $50 payment until next year with June as starting payment month. These payment analyses give you lifeās most important questions, though.
