It’s been almost 1 year ago that the show premiered and everybody was excited about the show’s potential…now fast forward to today

You mean when the story is still awesome and the fact that CN is even thinking about cancelling it is criminal? I know what you mean.
I can’t tell if you’re trashing the series or not (honestly, I can’t, and this next part is just a general statement), but I’m tired of negativity in a time when we need to stand up for the series instead of lingering on flaws.
I love the show too much for it to get canned.
It’s still a wait and see situation…
Basically I mean, we the fans were so exuberant about this new series then it’s being left questionable until further notice.
The bright side to all of this is, the higher authority know we all love and support ThunderCats.
Now to your point earlier, I’m not trashing the new series (love the story telling) when I say this but I have constructive criticism to better the overall series…if they do decide to go the remake route:

Keep the same character designs with a slightly updated look (No armor/metalized ThunderCats lol)
This is not the thread to get into but, I will just add, my biggest problem was the decision by the creators to have the cats shun technology. If you where basing the shows success on toys, wouldn’t you think vehicles and weapons like TOS had would appeal to the target demo (male 6-12) I don’t know, I guess hindsight is 20/20.

No. The new series is a re-imaging story…to be more specific, the story should start of with a group of Thunderians escaping Thundera and crash landing on 3rd earth!

Oh okay. That’s better. I’d honestly be fine if they did reboot it that way, but I also want them to bring closure to the current series’ story.

If they decide to reboot it, they should learn from their mistakes and get inspired by what’s going on currently with the MOTU toys and comics.
Instead of changing pretty much everything and having unhappy fans of the OS and a new/unknown recipe, they should base it completely on the original myth, design styles and atmosphere. Just imagine the average father’s reaction to something so familiar, let along the toy sales…
Along with the updated (yet not remade) visuals, they should expand everything that has to do with the story, giving it a serious vibe and correct any possible dodgyness of the old series (such as making Snarf speak less and with a more pleasant voice).
Now that I’ve seen the NS twice, I really feel that there were many things wrong with it. I don’t wanna get started in this thread, but man, I need to mention Pumyra’s last appearance. It really annoys me how it turned out, I’d rather watch a reboot now, indeed.
This is just a generalized statement, but the creators took some risks and changed a few things they knew wouldn’t sit well with some people. For taking such risks, they did a fantastic job. I understand why people would want essentially an updated OS with more backstory, but that would have probably sat even worse with hardcore fans than the NS, because they would expect it to follow every single thing the OS did. I love the OS, but I can’t see how the NS wasn’t a worthy reboot. I’m sorry, but if you found any major flaw to the series, you are wrong. Just because you didn’t like how the story went doesn’t mean it’s flawed. I cannot express that enough. That seems to be what most people complain about. The story being different then how you think it should go is no problem, no flaw, nor a case of bad writing. I’m not saying this towards any person in particular, but this is the biggest problem. If you didn’t like the show just because of how the story unfolded, don’t try to say it has problems.
I sound like a hypocrite because I trashed the Korra finale. However, it was how they basically made it with all concept and no content. The story was good, but the plot holes were present. People found “plot holes” in ThunderCats, but all of them were filled later on in the series, and it felt natural. Not EVERY question has to be answered, and not EVERYTHING has to be solved immediately. It’s just the first season. The Pumyra thing, as uncomfortable as I felt watching it, was a good twist. Trust me, I did NOT want her to be bad, and I was highly disappointed. However, I wasn’t mad at the writers or creators. I was mad at the character. All the betrayal did was add emotional depth and a whole new level of anticipation for what is to come next.
You know they should just continue off the new season on toonami I think if it was on toonami, it would probably get better ratings than when it was on friday nights and saturday mornings.
I was wondering when Toonami was being shown.
I’ve said that for awhile. It’d be awesome on Toonami and they could have much more mature themes.
