Enjoying TC on cntoo in the uk
I really hope that by CN putting NS on Toonami/Adult Swim will help give the show a second chance it truly deserves.
This may be off topic, but all of this toy stuff reminds me that where I live, only the Tygra, Lion-O, and Mumm-Ra small figures became available maybe a few months ago. However, the Wal-Mart in the nearest city (one hour away), had a wider selection while the episodes were aired.

The only Thundercats toys I have seen in Canada are at Toys R Us, and mostly Lion-O, Mumm-Ra, and Panthro…that’s it! O and Lion-O and Tygra from classic lines, with just Tygras left in great numbers.
Speaking of TMNT toys, they are simply amazing! I got almost the whole set, except for those SFX and 11 inch figures. The display set or playset is humungous, very well made. Playmates really outdid themselves with classic line, marvelous figures in my opinion.
It sounds like there my be a regional issue when it comes to distribution. I live in the U.S. in the state of Maryland. I didn’t see any TF: Prime toys at all here until the latter half of the summer. And I just saw the new TMNT toys last week in the Wal-Mart near me, a few days before the series premiere.
Could they have been available elsewhere in the states a lot earlier? I don’t know. But all I’m saying is, that’s when I first saw them.
I think most of the episodes in the series were good, but often it’s a very subjective kind of good. Out of all 26, I’d say there are only about 5 or 6 I would call bad episodes. But I do think one big problem would be that most of the perceived bad or bland episodes all happen to be right in the middle of the season (basically episodes 10-15). And I could see this stretch of episode turning people away from the series.
Within those, I think “Sight Beyond Sight” is probably the worst episode in the series. 11, 12, and 13 all could have been better but have some great animation, so I don’t think they’re bad, just a bit bland. “New Alliances” and “Trials Part 1” rubbed a lot of people the wrong way with how they made the main characters act, but they did introduce Addicus and Kaynar, who seem like popular villains. The only other episode I think would count as a bad one is “Ramlak Rising.” The episodes I count as being the “good” ones are 1,2,4,5,6,7,9,16,17,19,20,21,25, and 26, which is just over half the series.
There’s also the more lighthearted episodes, which I don’t think are bad, but there are fans who dislike how they don’t fit the more serious tone of other episodes. For what they are though I think they work. I think “Berbils” is one of the best episodes in the series and makes for a great introductory episode. “Petalars” seems kind of silly for having flower people, but it turns serious by the end. I used to hate “Recipe” for being what I thought was just stupid filler, but I’ve come to find it enjoyable, and it has the best piece of animation in the whole series.
The rest I haven’t mentioned as either good or bad or bland I think are much more subjective. “Duelist and the Drifter” I don’t like that much, but I know a lot of people do, and they love the Drifter, so I guess that can count as a good one. I liked “Forest of Magi Oar,” even if it was sort of filler and wasn’t overall that important. “Survival of the Fittest” and “Forever Bag” star Kit and Kat, and I can see why fans may not like them, but I think “Survival” has some well deserved focus on Kit, Kat, Panthro and Cheetara, plus some funny moments, and “Forever Bag” felt like one of those kids’ adventure movies from the 80s, like The Goonies or something, so that’s one reason I like it. “Soul Sever” I feel a bit ambivalent about, but it has some great environments and visuals, and Soul Sever is a very cool character, much like the Drifter he saves the episode. Fans seem to like it, so I give it a thumbs up. In my opinion, that’s about 16 seen as good ones, 4 bad ones, and 6 which are kind of average and could be good or bad depending on the viewer.
Anyway, it’s going to get tough for new viewers once Toonami gets to episodes 10-15.
I think some First Edition Prime toys were out in Japan and certain USA areas in mid 2011 but they were canceled for the current Prime toys which came out here in the UK February 2012.
According to what I have heard 1st Decemeber is the UK release date of TMNT toys. 
I was thinking if we do get a second season I would love to see the Thundercats get new looks more like their original looks. With the exception of Cheetara’s brown outfit and where their insignias are placed they have little else in common with their OS counterparts. Like with Transformers Optimus is always red and blue…the turtles all were certain colours etc. Lion-O’s hair longer…maybe a side burns, Panthro could shave his skullet off, and wear something more like thier OS outfits…at least the colours of their old outfits.
I wouldn’t want their current outfits changed. NS Lion-O’s outfit fits him well, and it shares design elements with OS Lion-O’s outfit, such as the color, the shoulder straps, and the abs on the armor are reminiscent of the abs hole OS Lion-O’s clothes had. Plus, I really don’t want the colors to change. Part of the problem with most of the OS character designs is that almost everyone wore grey and blue. For a team like this, you really need to have each character have a distinctive color palette. OS Cheetara stood out from the cast because besides Kat she was the only one who wore mostly warm colors until Lynx-O and Pumyra came along. And even then, they brought along the almost all blue and grey Bengali.
Green works for Tygra because it contrasts with his orange fur, and the same could be said about Panthro’s red vest. I also like Panthro’s samurai style haircut because it gives his appearance a bit more personality than straight up bald, and it’s a sign of his age. A shaved head doesn’t convey age as well as partial balding does. And I think NS Kat’s outfit is perfect for him. I think the only costumes I would change are NS Cheetara and Kits, but only slight alterations to cover them up a bit more. But I wouldn’t change the colors, because each character has their own distinctive palette now. Lion-O’s design, new and old, worked well because the blue clothes go well with the red hair, two very heroic primary colors we see on many superheroes. NS Panthro uses the same colors, but whereas Lion-O’s uses more white and silver, Panthro wears black and his palette is more muted, which could be seen as a sign of age. Kit uses a variation on this, having pink instead of red, but a darker blue color to contrast better. Kat and Cheetara use very similar palettes, but Kat’s seems a bit more orange and uses more black, while Cheetara’s overall palette is more yellow and brown, at least for the NS. It could use more variation, but it’s just distinct enough. And as for Pumyra, I think the NS made her palette a little more stable. It’s a bit muted, like Panthro’s, and I guess I would describe it as chocolatey.

Hammy, where did you get that pick? I don’t think Toonami released it, there are quite a few characters there from shows they don’t have the rights to anymore. It looks fan made.

I decided to record the Toonami block and watch it the next day. I also noticed the Sailor Moon and Inuyasha characters in the poster. 
Along with Naruto??? Maybe Toonami will get the uncut version.
I noticed Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail is on that poster. Is Toonami going to air an english dub of the anime???

Honestly I think Toonami is auction network to advertise properties that CN may be willing to part with if the price is right, as well pleasing fans with programming they want to see.
Toonami has managed to salvage the likes of “Cowboy Bebop” into a potential movie, I don’t see why the same success can’t be had for ThunderCats!
