I am one not opposed to seeing human’s in the NS. But I have a feeling their more elven in appearence, aka the Duelist than what they’d have been in the OS.
It could be possible that humans were hunted by the cats. One of my OC’s for the new series, which is a human (who again is very elven like) his entire backstory or that of his people’s were that humans were hunted to near extinction. But they do manage to survive.
As to humans from space, and a No there, Think of Mon Star… he’s technically a humanoid alien. Lion O in Leo’s body didn’t wonder what the heck is that, when he saw him. So Mandara… and the Evil Chasers (whom the Silverhawks may very well be a part of in the NS, isn’t out of the question).

As you brought up both Mandora and the Hawks… I’ve said this many times before on this site, and it bears repeating, since I REALLY like the idea.. Perhaps the Hawks are members of the Evil Chasers, like Mandora. After all both series had them as cops.
Let’s say the Hawks were a special division of that group, kinda like a SWAT team for extra terrestrial terrorists.
And this is the FIRST time I’ll add this in ever, let’s assume their battle armor may appear much more birdlike than before, leading the Cat’s to assume, until the Hawks remove said armor, that the Hawks are indeed birds.
I don’t know how many of you out there are familiar with Silverhawks and Tigersharks. I watched an episode of each to understand the basic premise. In Silverhawks the good guys consist of a group of five cyborgs who fight Mon-star and his cronies. In the OS the Silverhawks didn’t look especially like birds, but I’m absolutly in favour of redesigning them to look more bird-like. We saw a shot of Mon-star in one of the flashbacks working for Mumm-Ra. Presumably in this series he escaped during the rebellion and went on to start his own carrier of villiany.
The Tigersharks were a group of humans who used Science! to turn into half-human half sea-creature and back. There was a shark, dolphin, octopus and a walrus anoungst others. I suggest we combine the walrus guy with Turmagar the Tuskar to make a composite character. From what we saw in flashbacks in this series anyone we deal with would be an animal person like most of the other characters on the show.
I was a big fan of Silverhawks. Have the first half of the season on DVD. I’m totally against redesigning them too much. I think their designs were pretty perfect already and hold up really well. They’re not from Third Earth so they don’t need to be a species on Third Earth. Some of the Bad Guys could be updated though.
I remember watching Tigersharks when I was little, but I don’t remember much about them. I’ve rewatched the first episode though. I think we should just make them fish/seacreature people all the time instead of beings who change into them.
Yeah, I think we should keep the Silverhwks mostly the same. Besides, Bluegrass doesn’t really have a bird theme to him. Also, I’m not sure about Monstar working for Mumm-Ra. Maybe as a mercenary, but I would rather he work for himself as a space pirate.
The idea of the Tigersharks being humans changing into animal hybrids does interest me. I had thought it possible that the origins of the animal species might be they’re descended from humans who turned themselves into animal hybrids. For what reason, I don’t know, maybe to be super soldiers. Maybe it’s something Mumm-Ra did, either through science or magic, and he turned himself into a bat.
I’m not sure about making Turmagar and Walro a composite character. I was actually thinking they could be relatives instead.
All the Tigersharks weren’t even human before they changed. Some were aliens or “elvish” people.
The idea of the animals origin as being descendants reminds me of the genetics concept in the Dune Saga. Wouldn’t that show that there are no aliens and that all the native species of Third Earth and the animals from wherever they came from are actually a sub-species of humans?

See I just don’t like that idea. They’re on another world. There’s no reason for them to be descendants of humans. Especially when no one even wants humans (for the most part) in the story. As far as I’m concerned they’re all alien species.

Yeah, but still, it would be nice to see the Warrior Maidens. Even though they’re human, wouldn’t be great to add them in the webcomic?

If we want to add in the warrior madens we could alter their designs enough so that they would no longer be human. Just little things like changing their skin colour to something unusual, say a goldish orange colour, and tweek their eyes so they don’t look human. make the whites of their eyes a different colour, just enough that someone would question if they are human or not.
That would work wonders.

I started doing research on Japanese mythology and found out something interesting. It seems, in the Shinto religion, Hachiman is the god of archery and war. Maybe, in the fan comic, instead of being an apeman, we should make him into a divine being from an unknown civilization.
This is so great!! I can wait for the fan comic. I trust all of you guys will make awesome stories and plots.
