I know I’m falling victim to what I was accusing others of doing, but I admit it’s hard to resist. lol
I’d like the Snowman to actually be a king of a ice-kingdom. His people could shape ice to their wills (like he did when he made weapons in the OS). And he won’t be the only character of his species in the story. And I’d like him to be given a name like Kaynar and Addicus were. Calling him Snowman just sounds silly IMO.

You know, if IDW Publishing did the new ThunderCats comics, instead of Panini, they would do a cool job and, also, they would do the whole “Infestation” crossover.

What I think you guys should do, is to have much more artists involved.
As in… artist as writers for example.

Yep, that was me, I’m Star Outlaw. Any help you can give is appreciated. For those who don’t know, cofie draws some really fantastic ThunderCats fan art.
And I wouldn’t be against any artists wanting to both write and draw an issue, if he or she wants to. Just don’t stress yourself out. As I said before, I’m open to ideas from anybody, and I fully expect the artists to give their creative input as well.

I saw lots of things were talked about Bengali.
You guys seem to have a bunch of good ideas about him… how old do you think he would be? I’m thinking of how would he look like, but I’m pretty sure Mr.Norton has a good few art of him.
Dan Norton has a piece of Bengali from the WildStorm “ThunderCats” comics right now on his DeviantART page.
Yes. That was for the zero issue he did/planned. But that design is from 2000, I’m sure he has newer that matches into the cartoon’s general design.
I’m actually thinking to put m hand at it and see what I can come up with, that is why I was curious what age you guys would find fitting for him.

It would be good to know many things.
His Age. His status (he wasn’t a noble in the 80’s I know that much)
if he really had a rough life.
Is he kind and gentle or is he more of a firey person…
etc. It would be nice to know him, otherwise I’m just throwing up random stuff. ^^; Number 7 was made after a quick peek at Mr. Norton’s work, that was when I realized he is not black and white and blue but only white and blue. so I dropped the black stripes there.
Tell me what you think and what kind of person he is -suppose- to be, so the next one will look more decent. Make sure his personality fits into the team.
Here’s what I have in mind for Bengali;
He would be one of the younger Cats of the group. Not as young as the Wilys, but closer to Lion-O’s age. I’m thinking about 15.
Status: Most of us have speculated that Bengali is not a noble, but more of an outcast. He’s a white tiger after all, and none were seen with the Tiger Clan. He’s probably not had an easy life. Since he was a blacksmith in the OS, I’m thinking he’d be more of a working class kid.
He’s an apprentice blacksmith, and has been taught the secrets of forging the magic metal the Sword of Omens is made from, passed down from the original Blacksmith. He’s also inherited that same big, lion headed hammer used in “Birth of the Blades,” after his master was killed or separated from him in the fall of Thundera, possibly.
I liked Bengali’s hot headedness in the original, so that’s sort of what I’d like to see him be here. He likes blacksmithing, but he wants to be a warrior and go on quests and be a ThunderCat. He’s a bit like Lion-O used to be at the beginning of the series. Bengali has a good heart, but a quick temper and always looking for a fight.
That’s just my idea. The other writers have different ones, such as Bengali living in some secluded place away from Thundera or the Tiger Clan. I actually thought it would be cool if he formed a bond with Lynx-O, who’s like the Iroh to his Zuko, a wise old master to help teach him. One of my ideas is that they have been traveling Third Earth together since the fall, but we’ll see.

As for your sketches cofie, I like 1, 2, and 5. I thought Bengali would look good with long hair like that. One of my other ideas would be that Bengali wouldn’t be pure tiger, but a mix between the blacksmith’s race from the flashbacks and a tiger. I also really like the facial pattern on number 8.

The face marks on 8 is basically the same as Panthro’s actually.
I dislike number one because it’s too elfish… but I can patch number 2 and 8 together and add what I got info of his personality.

Okay, cool. The facial pattern is definitely flexible. I actually really like the way his looked in the OS, which I suppose would more closely resemble what you did with number 7. It just made him more distinctive. Maybe edit a second version with 7’s pattern? We can always keep experimenting.

Also, I edited my previous post, mentioning doing two versions of Bengali’s concept art, one with 8’s pattern and another with 7’s pattern, since I think that one’s actually closer to the OS and might make him more distinctive. Maybe not quite all the way down to the jaw line like you had it, just down to the middle of the cheeks. I may have been a little overly eager when I said I really like 8’s pattern, since it is essential the “basic” pattern most cats have. I still like both though.
