tygra came out a little too young, though it wasn’t entirely my intention. i thought he looked a little too old in the actual NS series so i tried to make a slightly younger tygra but i guess it backfired. i will change the facial markings to look like the NS counterparts since it makes them look different. i was just experimenting anyway, so it was never going to be permanent.
It’ll be awhile for you to perfect your art because we’ll have to write the story first, so no rush.
If I could change the facial design of a character, I’d probably make Pumyra’s eyebrows not connect down to her facial markings. I like her, but that’s the one thing about her design I just can’t get used to. So it’s not something I’m totally against.
I also noticed that Lion-O has somewhat cat-like nose from the side angle. I think that makes him look a bit older, so maybe that could work for Tygra.
If doing the art becomes rather demanding, we could always find others to help out with coloring and backgrounds, to lighten the load.

i felt the same with pumyras eyebrow design but it wasn’t so unbearable to make me dislike the character. i am gonna do some sketches of pumyra and i’m going to experiment with her eyebrows just to see what she would look like with different eyebrows. i just hope the die-hard pumyra fans don’t get too angry.
Coming from a die-hard Pumyra fan, I won’t get angry at all.

Apparently someone on the shows production staff said they would bementioning thier plans for season 2. Is there a time we are expecting these to be released by? Because that might not come for a while.

I like that and would also like to add a suggestion for Cheetara’s backstory. What if she was cast out because of the clan’s superstition about her eyes? I haven’t seen any other cats with eyes her color.
I’d like for there to be shading for the comic as well, since most of today’s cartoon shows rely on that element.
of course we are going to have shading in the comic.
I understand that many people will want to help with the writing, but I’d like to keep our writing staff pretty small just so our ideas won’t be all over the board.
I’m also not sure what I think about Cheetara’s backstory. I wasn’t very satisfied with my own, and none of the ones presented have really been amazing. It’ll be something we’ll really have to discuss.
Most ThunderCats 2011 fics on FanFiction.net write Cheetara’s backstory quite accurately. I suggest reading NoWhere ManX’s “Omens” to better understand Cheetara. It’s a story that i enjoy reading.
Bless you, Gold Lion. That, and this may be my own bias, but I hated that boycut militaristic style hairstyle that male cats are usually known for in the TC world. We can make up a story to where some sort of magic happens where Mumm-Ra changes the facial markings. Oh goodness! The Nathaniel Hawthorne story, The Birthmark, comes to mind for something of interest to be inspiring.

Brilliant! I’m good with writing ideas. Just putting what else I can do out there. If any artist wants to have a go-to person, it can be me and it seems like Gold Lion, too. Graduated with a Fine Arts concentration and took Shape and Design as well as Color Design classes at school. I’m just not blessed with being gifted in Graphic Art aka computer drawing.

Well, if you mean like copying off another person’s work without their permission, that’s not cool. I think we all need to stick with our own creativity and not totally rely on an outside source unless we are extremely stuck on what to do next. It’s rather taboo for writers of like cartoons and things of that nature to draw inspiration from other fans because of copyright issues. What’s hilarious is there have been some folk from the Generator Rex fandom that accused writers of the show stealing their work. But I guess there is a fine line between someone making money or being popular and someone making a story for fun.
yesterday, i was just looking at a few gallery pictures on deviantart and i came across Balgus82’s profile and i think he really has good skills as an artist . He can also color really well too and i was thinking we should try to get him on board our fan comic. i think it would be really awesome to have multiple artists with different styles working on this comic.
He’s been on this forum for awhile. I’ve seen it as well. We definitely need to get him in this.

Speaking of writing i was one of the few first people who wanted to help contribute but it seems i “did not get the part”.
IF not first get served is the rule, do i have a better chance at “gettinb my position” cause i’ve published real books? Feels like people are just ignoring me in this thread.
if there are plans for an Original character from any of the writers, just let me know so i can come up with some concept designs for them.
