He was in the episode, he just got taken down real fast by Tygra.
I was a little disappointed we didn’t see Viragor show up in the end with the rest of the allies.
I believe that Mumm-Ra most likely brought Pumyra bck to life after “Trials of Lion-O Part 2.” After losing one more time, he probably figured it was time to do something sneakier. Mumm-Ra likely knew all along the Sword of Plundarr was in that mountain all along, and used Pumyra to lure the Cats there so they could free it for him, in addition to letting him know where they were. How he knew they would end up in Dog City is unclear, but perhaps he counted on Pumyra becoming famous enough in the Pit that they would hear about her.
I also think that this version of Pumyra could be immortal, so long as Mumm-Ra’s magic sustains her. It would help her survive in the Pit if her skills weren’t good enough, as an extra precaution. And it would help with fooling everyone since it let Mumm-Ra swat her around all he wanted.
As for the nature of the control, that’s hard to say. It could be possible that Pumyra acted mostly like herself, but with subconscious orders implanted by Mumm-Ra, like leading the Cats to the Sword of Plundarr and going after the Tech Stone. Maybe the mind control only took full effect in Mumm-Ra’s presence. But I think whatever the case is, it does kind of explain some of her inconsistent behavior, switching from flirting to fighting. She’s driven by her anger at Lion-O, but also has to gain his trust. But it’s still hard to tell if any of that is really her.
Here’s a thought; what if every time Mumm-Ra zapped Pumyra, he was strengthening his mind control curse on her?
I agree with you. And honestly, it will be debatable as to if she is or isn’t acting like herself, or if this is just something of a subconscious thing.
And if a part of her that isn’t so vengeful is there, then like I’ve said probably 3 - 5 times, she will have her Azula moment and go mad, because she’ll end up questioning herself. When that happens who’s to say her fate has been sealed or altered? Maybe even an agonizing montage of her life before and after the fall will force her to rethink who she is and what she does. (and if we do get a montage, I propose the song I mentioned in my last post on this thread - it’s so evil that it fits into this whole mess perfectly)
I believe we need to re-analyze all of Pumyra’s past actions (I guess we can do that in the fan thread, if anyone is still a fan of her now). Figure out what sort of purpose is behind each action. For instance, back in Curse of Ratilla, did she deliberately get them caught in hopes that Ratar-O would end up killing Lion-O? Or was it genuine? I also wonder if after she was resurrected she was planted in the mines or sold to Dobo.
I think they all got to the chamber at the same time, but stayed outside and Tygra entered alone invisible to have the surprise factor on their side.

I must say I didn’t like the Pumyra story here. Even when I don’t like her that much, I think she deserved better. Although you knew right when Lion-o asked if he could trust her loyalty, then her saying “I serve my King and Master” that she was the traitor (I never heard the TCs use that word to refer about Lion-o, not in the OS and not in these ones), and that was reinforced when Tygra wondered how Mumm-Ra kept tracking them and she changed the subject. I think they will find a way to save her soul and redeem her in the 2nd season.

I’m not a fan of the Saint Seiya powers the stones give to both Mumm-Ran and Lion-o.
At the end, the Dogs reminded me of the Warrior Maidens. Do you think they could be their NS equivalent?
You know, Pumyra’s actions in the previous episode make more sense. She seduced Lion-O into flat out theft and was willing to take the stone despite the fact it was the city’s power source when it came to staying in the sky.
The armor thing for Mumm-Ra and Lion-O is weird but cool.
What a great season. I kind of started to see Pumyra’s betrayal coming too since the last episode. I was kind of afraid for a second there that they weren’t going to make vultureman a bad guy. The only thing that doesn’t really make sense to me is why Pumyra would align with mum-ra willingly which makes the possibility that she is not herself seem more likely to me. I get her being angry at lion-o but the only reason any of this happened in the fist place was because mum-ra attacked the city. So why would she side with him? That’s like extreme stockholm sydrome.
I’m sure someone mentioned it before, but I feel that as far as any cat is concerned the leader of the fall were the Lizards and Grune - not Mumm-Ra
Yeah, the next time a cat woman shows interest in Lion-O, he’ll probably execute her as a (rhymes with “chore”).
I don’t think so, she has to know it was Mumm-Ra, and if she doesn’t know now she’s going to find out once they get back to his lair and she sees all his lizard minions.
Unless she’s extremely nice and has absolutely no suspicion against her.

There’s also the fact that Mumm-Ra came rolling in with all that Lizard tech they used in the premiere, which I think Pumyra would have recognized.
Well, Cheetara was that way…and that ship never had a chance to begin with. Though i do think if she was too nice and never scolded him it’d still be suspicious. 
I think they’ll have an episode dedicated to him getting into a relationship. Maybe Tygra could help him get his game back. That would be a decent episode.
I thought RfD was that, and didn’t Tygra tell him to give up on love, and say he’d get shot down again? Uuugh, i really wish they had Vultaire betray them, this hiatus/unsureness of a renewal and the aftermath of the episode is bringing me down.

I’m pretty sure she know about the lizards working for Mumm-Ra. It’s kind of hard not to miss the whole invasion force that landed at the bird city.
I got the impression that Pumy-ra has her allegiance to Mumm-Ra because he has allowed her to get revenge on what she views as Lion-o’s failure. what I don’t get is whether she supposed to be Mumm-ra’s girlfriend or just his servant. Either way, Daddy Mumm-ra is one lucky guy!
I really don’t want Lion-O to have yet another love interest. Either redeem Pumyra and get her back or nothing. He fell in love with her because she was strong and fierce and independent, not because she was seducing him. I don’t think her abrasive attitude was part of Pumyra’s act.
