It was nice to see Lion-O pull off some Drifter-esque moves in his initial battle with Sycorax! Mumm-ra just to prove that he can still do it.
I guess if Mumm-Ra wants to be something other than a mummy, a BIG mummy, or a bird he has to have some piece of whatever he wants to change into to act as a catalyst.
Still haven’t seen the ep. so can’t form the right opinion but from what i’ve been reading many fans were disappointed because this one is a standalone ep. with many elements of the OS. I understand we’ve all been eagerly waiting and love the story arc development but as our new guy Meoknet correctly mentioned Tcats were basically comprised of non related episodes with independent storyline. All Season 1(OS) with the exception of Trials was made after this recipe.
Personally i have no problem with ‘separate’ ep. as long as they are good and have great things to show.
Well, you’re in luck. It has a lot of good things to show. Seeing you liked the OS (who doesn’t!?) you’ll definitely like it.
One thing was missing though. We never saw mumm-ra contoct his evil plan as was standard in all OS eps, he just randomly showed up. And for fighting mumm-ra the whole episode, we didn’t actually get to see mumm-ra!

Hammy, it’s not just i liked it, it goes far beyond that, for me it was/is/going to be forever the most legendary show ever produced in the 80s.
I personally LOVED it, and I’m a huge fan of OS, I’m pretty sure youll love it Lordore, VERY OS feeling, the only thing that made me cringe (donotwant!) was the way the love potion was treated, yeah the love potion itself was pretty harmless but anything that alters a person’s normal state of mind being given without their consent is not okay, what if it had side effects that were harmful, you see it all the time on med bottles may cause shortness of breath, vomiting, abnormal bleeding, frequent urination, people with blah blah shouldn’t take (product) due to risk of heart attack or stroke etc. (not unlikely as Ponzi’s potions seemed to still have needed to be in some sort of drug trial stage with all the side effects they had he didn’t even know about!), I know we are all adults and can look past it but I just worry about the overall message since Lion-O didn’t even get a good scolding or say anything that suggested he realized it wasn’t okay.
