The drawing makes me think the animators copied Mount Plundarr from that monster’s appearance. They do tend to do things like that:)

It wasn’t “some”, it was me. Feel free to say my name, I’m not that shy.
I don’t know if anyone is tipping Mumm-Ra off, in the group or otherwise. It’s just a thought based on the time interval between the cats digging up the sword, and Mumm-Ra’s arrival, which appeared to be very short. The first words out of Lion-O’s mouth were “How did they get here so fast?” I don’t think Will would have wrote this into the script as filler.
It was night when they left the dog city for Mount Plun-Darr. It was daybreak at the end of this episode. That means the lizard army got within visual range in less than a day. Contrast this to how long it took Mumm-Ra and the lizard army to reach the elephant village for the Spirit Stone - the cats had time to go to the Forest of Magi-Oar and back (and stay overnight) before the army showed up.
No argument here; the lizards certainly have their own senses and means of tracking the cats. Again, I’m just questioning how fast they showed up for the SoP. I do not believe it is consistent with their movement rate in other episodes.
I understand. But I’ve been completely against some things in the series that have happened anyway. I don’t think it is outside the realm of possibility.
I don’t subscribe to the idea that Mumm-Ra is all-powerful and omniscient by means of some magic pool. If he were, you would think he would have a better track record.
This is the same guy who had his lizard army ambushed repeatedly, to the point he felt compelled to try a different strategy (New Alliances), who didn’t seem to have a clue the rats were digging for his sword, or even where the sword was at (Curse of Ratilla), who had the cats in the vicinity of his home pyramid multiple times but didn’t set any ambushes for them (Ramlak Rising, Trials of Lion-O Part 2), who had two rebellious cats in his own spaceship plotting against him and forging a second sword, but didn’t seem to know about it (Legacy, Birth of the Blades)…and I could keep going on, but in summary, these are not the hoofprints of a villain who can see everything at all times.
You’re free to disagree with my thoughts. Pretty much the entire board has. My only intent was to bring attention to what I thought was an interesting detail. Time will tell whether I was right or wrong, and I don’t really care either way; it’s the analysis that is the fun part, not the result.

The pool doesn’t make him omniscient. He doesn’t know everything at all times. He only sees what he’s asking to look for at that particular moment. For just one of your examples he wouldn’t see Leo and Panthera plotting against him because he wouldn’t have been watching them if he didn’t expect them to turn traitor.
Anyway feel free to throw theories in here. Just because some people don’t agree with them doesn’t make the theory any less interesting nor does it mean you couldn’t be right while they’re wrong. We’re going to debate on them, sure, but don’t think of it as anyone attacking your ideas. 
They should stock up while they’re there!
First I just relieved do to the sword of Omens is made from the Sword of Plun-darr scrap metal do’snt that mean that with a stone the power balance move to the Plun-darr weilder. second if that where to happen wouldn’t the sword of Omens brake from it being craft with filler metal as it did in the original series. Thirdly to repair the sword of Omens wouldn’t you need a black smith say bengali to fix it now you could cheat and have cheetara fix it what the fun in that. all this give me hope for a second season for the reboot. hope this one make it intact.
It’s so cool watching how the NS has reversed the old school stereotype of ‘Good guy being always on top of the Bad guy’.
This episode is another example attesting to this. Thundercats being enslaved and serving Mamm-Ra in the past or the SoO owing its creation to SoP’S ‘leftovers’ was a risky approach that if we had heard about 2 years ago when the first info were leaked then the criticism and chastising would be whacking, to say the least.
However, thankfully all the matters have been handled and managed so carefully and adeptly that leave no other choice but applaud the stunning result.
So far the flashback stories are top-notch, adding depth to the whole scenario bringing us even closer to the characters, moreover they knit together perfectly with the plot unfolding. I was pretty shocked to see Commander Leo being so obedient to Mamma-ra, it makes me wonder how long ago was this supposed to happen and for how many decades or generations the Cats were under Mamm-Ra’s orders?? Also, i can’t help but notice how Mamm-ra’s mighty dictatorship and reigning terror, that is also shown in this episode through flashbacks, works out pretty well convincing the viewer of the evil wizard’s omnipotence. This is an important point, since in the OS even though we do get references of him being a dominant wizard once, we actually get no evidence of this era. So not only do we get a glimpse of his sovereignty but most significantly whenever he emerges there is the feeling he is able to bring the worst disasters and not be easily beaten, something which was a foregone conclusion in the OS.
A question was raised from this episode, if Mamm-ra was dictated to destroy a Galaxy and the Star of Plandar, when did he find S-S-Slythe?? Probably, Slythe as well as the lizards didn’t come from Plandar as in the OS. Due to the sophisticated and complex way the story has been written, not many facts have been retained as we knew them.
Also, i need to stress the advanced technique Lion-o used to throw off Kaynar, the combination of the Sword’s beam and the Claw’s force shield gave him a square victory, likewise i only wish he levels up his fighting skills in the same way.

I thought he did pretty well against Kaynar in just straight-up melee combat, stone powers aside. Kaynar came at him with that halberd-type weapon, and all its reach, plus those pseudo-shuriken; and Lion-O just batted those attacks away. He had a lot more control and composure than earlier fights.
Have to give props to the puma too for the lizard headshots, three in a row. That should earn her a trophy.
I think Lion-O’s affections were her reward.

Solid episode; I really enjoyed the flashbacks as well as the rest of it. It’s interesting that Lion-O and Pumyra failed to keep the sword of Plundarr away from Mumm-Ra’s clutches and how it now gets more difficult for the heroes; it raises the stakes and makes it all more dramatic.
