I thought that character looked familiar and I’m glad I’m not the only one.
Pumyra was found in the previous episode “The Pitt” and the kids are chasing a pickpocket back in the dog city.
I also think the reason the Thundercats stayed was so the freed Thunderians could get to a safe place near the ruins of Thundera.
No hints yet about Bengali or Lynx-O, but I’m sure we’ll find out something soon.
Panthro was my favorite part of this episode. I liked the comments that he made, especially when he said, “Oh, brother!” after Tygra’s comment to Cheetara. 
Not to mention “Can you start with me? He has to get us out of this.”

I surprisingly enough didn’t notice it at first, but I watched it again and was laughing so hard.
And coincidentally, Luke married Mara Jade in the expanded universe books who was also a hot head who wanted to kill Luke initially when they first met.
Anyways, I found this episode to be great. A dark episode with some humor tossed in.
Another interesting moment was when Panthro was describing Lion-O’s influential ways.
Yes, I think he was describing how Lion-O got Pumyra to listen to him more than anything. Can you say foreshadowing?
They haven’t been to the Tower since episode 8. They’re pretty far away from the tower by now.
The kids were left back at the dog city. A pickpocket stole their weapons and they’re trying to get them back.
And Pumyra was introduced last episode. You should really try to catch up. Quite a bit has happened since it started back.

I haven’t posted here in a VERY long time, but I do lurk. Although for the most part I’ve enjoyed the series, this is the first episode that I’m feeling quite attached to the whole story and not just any one or several aspects. (I’ve also watched the OS)
Lion-O doesn’t annoy me as a character anymore, especially after the Trials episodes. In earlier episodes he comes across as a rather spoiled kid, but I guess every hero who is destined to be something great has to start somewhere. On more than one occasion he’s been shown to be the level-headed person and be a reliable person to provide support the team. I still think he’s been given one too many lucky cards or situations have turned out in his favor quite often (like suddenly be given a second chance at life at the beginning of Trials). At least this episode he’s starting to realize the consequences to his actions and has to defend his ideals to people who are more critical of them.
Pumyra’s character is actually more active than her original OS character. Her anger is justified, and I liked that Lion-O had to be her foil and stop her from killing the rat (drat, forgot his name). I would like for them to serve as each other’s foils, learn from the other and be another foil pair to the Tygra/Cheetara dynamic, but I’m slightly hesitant to support the Lion-O/Pumyra ship at this point. I would support them getting together towards the end of the series, when Lion-O has learned more about being a good ruler and accomplishes most of his tasks. Besides, ever since Tygra and Cheetara got together, there’s hardly any source of sexual tension aside from these two.
LOVED CheeTygra in this episode. The last time the relationship was shown was in episode 14. It showed another dimension to Tygra’s character, a show-off but way less of an arrogant prick as compared to how he treats Lion-O. At least with Cheetara, he’s more mellow with her than towards the other Thundercats. He’s also genre savvy - if I was stuck in a cursed cave with someone I loved with the walls crumbling down knowing that I was most likely going to die since I couldn’t run fast enough, as cheesy as it sounds, I would like to make the “most of it” by making out with that person. As long as they show these sappy romantic moments in moderation and sprinkle just brief, non-verbal cues that shows the couple exists, I’m fine. Then again, if the series does continue to season 2, I would like it if the writers address a conflict between the two characters that also affects the romantic relationship.
Panthro didn’t do much in this episode aside from talking about relationships between the two couples. In fact, all he’s been doing for the past several episodes is to express frustration or call out people for whatever idiotic thing they’re doing.
Liked that Ratar-O was one of the few villains who is self-serving rather than serve Mumm-Ra. I want to see how Mumm-Ra and Ratar-O will interact once Mumm-Ra realizes that another creature wants his sword.
Can’t wait to see the next episode when Mumm-Ra knows about the lost sword!

I too admit while I dont post much here, Ive been holding on hoping that this series will improve and it Has, I will continue to watch as I still love these characters… it has impressed me in most areas,
Clean fluid Animation, and Character Design, and the overall respect to the OS that they’ve done throughout the new series so far…
Ive taken a liking to Pumyra and her Chippy attitude, and the subtle hints towards a relationship between her and Lion-O. Im also Liking the CheeTygra couple as well…
Panthro as Piffle said hasent done much recently, would like to see him cut lose and bust a few heads, at least before surrendering, and again was good to see some more combat from Lion-O , More combat, less Sword of omens energy blasts! ha..oh well looking forward to next weeks episode.
I thought this episode was awesome. Most people have already spoken about the things I like but I’m going to point out two things I enjoyed.
First, Pumyra is a great character in this show. In the old show she was just… meh. Didn’t do much of anything.
Second, I loved how the mountain came into existence. It was not just a random evil looking mountain that they found to hide the sword in.
I’m hoping that the next episode follows up on this. It would be agonizing if the focus was only on the kittens in the city and we would have to wait two weeks to see the resolution of this cliffhanger.
Im happy that the general consensus is that this was a great episode, which it was, and the series is getting better and better and better every single episode, which it is. The writing, the animation, the execution, everything about this new series is just absolutely fantastic and so well done.
And jixen, the focus is on the kittens the next episode, but I still think they’ll have a b story continuing the arc with the other cats, just like it was the kittwns in the b story last time. My guess, and it is just that, is that it will be on how the thunderians set up a settlement.

Most of your questions were answered by previous episodes to be honest, wait till the dvd comes out and watch them all through and it will make sense. I agree that things sometimes seem rushed or convenient, but that is primarily due to the conventions of having to fit so much into a twenty minute timeslot, so I can forgive quite a lot of things for that. And yes, I do wish every episode was an hour long! Lol!
I agree about rataros voice too, I thought that at first but its grown on me a bit now and logically makes sense for a rat to sound like that.

Seen it now and it was very good. To me it is at the same length as the premiere which still is my favorite episodes.
It seems like as it stands right now Pumyra is more interested in Lion-O than Lion-O is interested in Pumyra, but it’s not because he doesn’t like her. He’s trying to avoid a similar situation with what happened with Cheetara not only because he doesn’t want to get hurt, but he know he makes some pretty lousy choices when he’s in that mindset. You can see how conflicted he is when she suggests he move on to someone else (GEE, I WONDER WHO?) and it’s the first time since his trials that his cool and collected facade started to droop.
One of the reasons why I like the Lion-O/Pumyra pairing (which this episode heavily reinforced for me) is that despite only knowing him for a short time she can already see right through him and picks up on things about him that it took other characters several episodes to figure out.
Plus when he was helping her out of the rubble it was SO CUTE! KISS HER, YOU IDIOT!
I was expecting him to, actually.

Yet another episode that I liked and hated at the same time.
The overall story about Ratilla and Jaga was pretty darn sweet. The scene where Pumyra calls Lion-O on hi still lingering affection towards Cheetara was brilliant. (I hope Pumyra will get in Cheetara’s face in a later episode about the cheetah being an oblivious, treasonous, and frankly lousy cleric.)
What I absolutley HATED was the fact that yet again, the staff gave the fans a “kick sand in the face of Lion-O’s character to make Tygra shine” episode.
Case in point, Tygra comes up with a poor excuse for an infiltration tactic - uncuffed restraints - that in all reality, should have failed from the start but it works…even when it is discovered by a rat, they still walk away with no issues at all. Sorry but uncuffed restraints would be a reason to sound an alarm.
Cut to Lion-O who gets captured easier than bullfrog in a boys backyard.
Now, fastforward to the cave-in…
Tygra and Cheetara kiss and their “love” prevents any harm from coming to them AT ALL.
Cut to Lion-O. He, Panthro, and Pumyra have had a building come down on them, Lion-o gets his butt handed to him by Rattar-O until he barely manages to pull off a win by reflecting a beam back at the villian…
So yet again, we have a Tygra can’t fail nor do any wrong but Lion-O is in a world of trouble episode.
I’m waiting for the staff to understand that the show isn’t Tygracats, it’s THUNDERCATS and that THUNDERCATS - while about all the cats - CENTERS on Lion-O, not Tygra.
