Well the Lizards sold the Thunderian slaves to the Rats, so maybe word of Mumm-Ra and his quest got to Ratar-O by the Lizards/Slithe?
Rataro’s ancester Ratila had the sword and his people had the stories to go by. Besides they may be scavengers but that don’t mean they can’t read or write. They could have found out by other means like magic, or technology, stoirs about the area being cursed. Also they couldn’t have learned it’s location from the Lizards because that means Mummra would have already known were it was hidden and have gotten it by now.
The Thundercats might not have known the full history behind The Fall of Mumm-Ra the way Lion-O now knows through his experience with The Book of Omens. However, snippets of that history were passed down from generation to generation as the story became legend. The T-Cats knew for sure that they had overthrown Mumm-Ra and that there was a lost Book of Omens that had records of the tale and was the key to obtaining great power.
I can buy that The Rats have a similar knowledge of Mumm-Ra past down from generation to generation and I can also buy that The Sword of Plundarr was a legendary weapon of Mumm-Ra’s. Once Ratilla found it, it is easy to assume that The Rats just figured it had to be the Sword of Plundarr based on its immense power.
It’s interesting because when Pumyra blames him and his sense of mercy for getting them captured he could have easily reminded her that if she could control her temper and stick to the plan there wouldn’t have been any need for his mercy in the first place.
Instead he says “You know what, I got this” taking responsibility not only for his own action, but her as well.
I’m starting to like this Lion-O guy.
Me too. He’s really starting to become a great person, or cat, I guess. Pumyra’s my favorite, but “mature” Lion-O is working his way up my list.
I wonder if any of the slaves will stick around the next episode to help fight off Mumm-Ra’s troops.
Doubt it. I’m sure none of them want to fight, or do any more physical activity than have for the past few months.
I think they got the hell out of there before the Lizards were even seen. Next week’s episode will probably have the dual objective of not only keeping the sword and shield away from Mumm-Ra, but buying enough time for the refugees to get away.
That is what I’m thinking. It’s going to be awesome.
Latst episode was a 6, and that was a BAD one and this is a GOOD one and still a 6? If you say 6+ at least just say 7-8. Be generous T_T

As tough as Pumyra is I thought it was hilarious to see her girly little run after Panthro tells her to stop flirting. She’s adorable when not in a murderous rage.
Also how did Mumm-Ra find out about the sword? Maybe Mordant was selling info on the side.

I echo everyone’s sentiments, this was just a fantastic episode. I was feeling like Pantho a bit regarding Tygra and Cheetara, but I’ll say one thing, you can’t help but love Tygra and his personality. He’s just so cool and collected no matter the situation.
I can’t say enough about how much I love Pumya’s character. Just love that temper! Why did Lion-O look so perplexed when Pumyra suggested he move on to someone else? Because he’s not really over Cheetara perhaps? In the scene when Lion-o helped Pumyra after Panthro lifted the rock off of her, that shot of her was just amazing. Lion-o better get himself together and not let that beautiful creature get away!
The fight with Ratar-O was decent, you could see that he was more skilled than Lion-o, but I do wish they could have sword-fought a little more.Not a big gripe. I notice with this show that when the episode gets to a certain point(near the end usually when the action is about to start) the art changes and increases in overall quality and animation. I wonder if they have different animators to do these parts because you can see a marked difference compared to other parts of the episode.
Next week cannot come fast enough! Hopefully Mumm-Ra will be on point and actually be victorious again. He needs some redemption here!

If Mumm-Ra is at all tied to the magic of the Sword of Plundarr, He would have known when it was truly unearthed. If not that, that earthquake was probably felt for miles. I tend to go with the first theory.
He’s just confused (understandably so) and can’t understand that she likes him when she tends to do things like kicking him in the head (although, to be fair, she’s not the first person to kick him in the head).
Get away and date…who? I think they’ll hook up, just give it a few more episodes.

I really hated that episode.
in fact. I was dismayed by all episodes written by Todd Casey so far. (except the first one which was actually written in a co-op)
all of them were so infantile and dumbfounded.. I mean.. even from a perspective of a 5 year old child I’d say that it was such a ***** cop-out.
all of the stupid love triangle (and now quartet) arc is beyond redundant and beyond any logic of any kind.
What is this, Liono’s creek for infants or Thundercats?
the guard conveniently ignores the breach with the handcuffs just by fixing it.
Liono defends an injured one eyed rat and surrenders without a fight just when so happens that he’s able to lift a small sword? I mean, Come on!!
it sometimes feels like the very worst version possible of an Indiana Jones movie… and I mean, even worse than the last one.
hated the design of the sword of plundar. the OS’s version was so badass. this one looks almost identical to the sword of omens. god, if you want to reinvent it try to use your imagination instead of replicating what you already have.
and besides, the way they’ve found it was such a cop out. hmmm a glowing mark on the wall looking like a big, giant sword.. I wonder what can that be?
taking it out leads to a cave collapse but they end up kissing and the curse is broken.. I mean.. even today’s disney’s sugarcoated films are not that gullible to believe that people and even today’s kids will take this seriously.
the power of rataro’s weapon is strong enough for the sword of omens to blast liono away but not for the handclaw shield.. that was just plain stupid.
the dialogues are just too cheesy and childish for me.. when it comes to the writing process some of the events depicted just seemed forced and unconvincing.
I’m not expecting an HBO show.. but at least give things some thought before jumping the shark and writing 5 mins. worth a script.
I’m sorry.. but that’s jusy how it feels for me.
on the brighter side.. I’ll stick up with it, hoping for a TM episode to come out soon.
