Did anyone notice Lion-O was beefed up a little bit…at least in the beginning. Maybe prelude for him growing up outwardly as well…
What an amazing episode, full of suspense. A solid 9/10.
I am really glad that Jaga(Young) VS Ratilla was shown once again like in the OS.The only difference back then Jaga was also protesting the Treasure of thundera.

Yeah that’s been happening with LionO since the start. They said at the start that LionO was going to physically grow and get beefed up, and it has been very subtle but you can see it if you compare screenshots of the pilot with this episode.

A little bit, maybe. Still, that he gets to reach, at least, the same physical height as Tygra and Cheetara, is something I’m hoping to see relatively soon.
I don’t think he’ll ever be as tall as Tygra. Let’s face it Lion-O is 17. He’ll fill out a little more, but he shouldn’t get much taller if at all.

I mostly remember this one scene where the dimensions suddenly seemed strangely off, pumyra’s head too big and lion-o’s head too small, making him look much beefier. Just after Tygra and cheetarah had run off, here it is:

Sword of Planndar’s backstory was really awesome and found many common points with the OS.
What the Writers been doing with Thundercats is take the basic parts which were already there and have explored them even further bringing forward some very nice ideas.Honestly, i couldn’t ask for better writing.
This episode had a dark atmosphere and harrowing aura. We witness from early on the execution of two Thunderians by Rataro. As for whom he is indeed very close to the OS represantaion but still great.
Lion-O has been exhiting the virtues he learned over the last months (meaning last 20 episodes).
Pumyra is such a great addition, her wild nature and menacing type is making her one very interesitng cat.Even her ‘lover-affair to be’ comment on Lion-O was put very delicately and seriously, eliminating any corny feelings
So, quick question.
We saw a while ago in the ancient flashback the cats forging the Sword of Omens. Mumm-ra had the Sword of Plun-darr then, right?
Ratar-o said that the SoP was his ancestor’s possession before it was Mumm-Ra’s, but then we see Ratilla and Jaga fighting and Jaga has the Sword of Omens.
Is there a continuity problem there or is Rataro just speaking of ignorance of the past?
He said before anyone remembered it was Mumm-Ra’s it was the rats, wich mean at the time Ratilla found it the people of Third Earth had forgotten who the sword really belonged too. They probably figured it out around the time Jaga cursed it.
That said, it’s easy to confuse, they could have explained it a little better.
It kinda makes sense with what is going on. Pumyra hitting on Lion-O=him looking more appealing (more muscle). Panthro butting in=sudden mood change, alterations go away.

Yes in ep.7 Legacy we see Lion-O getting the SoO by the Cat/Elf-like(lol) animals who had forged the sword and Leo’s female friend(we never get to hear her name) saying:‘hewn by the same exact enchanted metal as Mumm-Ra’s Sword(meaning SoP) and Gauntlet’. So apparently Rattila must have found the sword a long time ago than this incident and the Jaga vs Rattila battle afterwards. Maybe after Mumm-ra took it, Ratilla got it back to his possession.
btw, i lole Pumyra’s growling voice,Bengali in the OS had the same characteristic roaring sound while talking!

I’ll just say this; when you are called “Lord of The Thundercats”, it certainly doesn’t hurt too look your most imposing. Nuff Said.
He already looks 10x more imposing than the first episode.
He does look more imposing than in the first episode. Definately. In fact, personally, I think the muscle-mass he has right now could be sufficient already if only he just gets a little more height. And a little longer, more feral hair.
I loved her “Grrr!!” too, but has enybody ever noticed that Pamela Adlon usually plays aggressive girls? I couldn’t have picked a better person to voice such an aggressive powder keg!
I think that’s what I love best about Pumyra in this series.
As per what Pum-Ra said about Lion-O’s imposing presence as Lord of the ThunderCats, I do agree that he has gotten more imposing. Just look at Claudus. He was a beast. While I don’t think Lion-O will get as tall, I do think he will fill out just like his father when he gets older.
That is hands-down why I like her! I was getting tired of female cartoon characters not being violent enough.
He didn’t say they had it before it was Mumm-Ra’s. He said they had it before anyone knew it was Mumm-Ra’s.

Lions are called the King of the Jungle, but Tigers are still bigger.
…well, panthers aren’t as big as lions and tygers, and yet this factor certainly didn’t stop writers from making a “certain panther” bigger than both the tyger and lion in this series(let alone an even bigger Doberman;)).
…ultimately, I think the writers have so far done a splendid job in molding all of these characters, and whatever future plans they have for Lion-O, I’m confident they might pull it off.
After seeing Javan, I think Tygra will always be taller than Lion-O but I suspect Lion-O will be broader in build. Javan was tall and muscular but IIRC he was more compact than Claudus and Panthro.
