i thought this ep was probably the best ive seen from this new series in terms of storytelling and animation however it still to me was nothing to write home bout. action was dull thank goodness the story was good this time though and the emotion was there,cause of this i will give it a 6. i did like seeing that we saw lionos mom even though it wasnt for long and i did like the ending. lets see what happens next week though
I can only assume Tygras Mom was taken at birth as well Probably due to the Plague of the village. The Cat cubs are to rough on the moms at birth. sheesh…
Best episode by far…this had depth..which i know in 30 minutes can be hard to do, especially for the epicness they want for the show ( not to mention the uncertainty of its longevity on tv). If they want to keep Thundercats on the air this is how you do it!
Loved how they revived the Tygra character as something more than a character in the background…Go Tygra!! and Congrat thundercats crew!! Timing couldnt be better to show stronger eppys in the new saturday line up..lets hope all this cancellation talk gets forgotten.

I agree that while thundercats is getting stronger in their story lines they have got to Amp up the action scenes a bit more to compete with young justice and now the biggest fantasy contender The Legend of Korra!!
I know this is a Tygra episode but I couldn’t help loving Lion-O here, it looks like his lessons have finally stuck and he’s on his way to becoming a great king.
It looks like Tygra is still stinging from his failure in the pyramid though, hopefully with learning to let go of his pride he’ll get over it.
Lion-O’s mother died in childbirth. Called it.
Best episode so far. Tough to beat “Legacy” when it comes to epic storylines, but the dark overtone and emotional resonance of this one puts it at the top. Great writing - I can’t believe they managed to put so much impact into 20 minutes of animation.
Man the next episode has some big shoes to fill
One thing I can’t help wondering, Were the Tigers truly treated unfairly by the other cats or were they so blinded by their own pride they refused to work with anyone else? It would be interesting to see how that played out.
They did say that even after the Crash of the Ship the tigers continued to work in Mumm-Ra’s name. this made them outcasts. Their own pride was their downfall to stubborn to see where they should stand so they ended up standing alone.

One of my favorite episodes (the others being Song of the Petalars, the first episode, and New Alliances). It had depth and the animation was better this time around (not to say I don’t like the overall animation of the show. I really do.)
I loved the return of the emphasis of brotherly bonding and ties between Tygra and Lion-O and again, the show is doing a good job portraying them as typical teenaged siblings. I really liked the backstory they gave to Tygra nad the Tiger Clan. The story of the Tiger Clan was truly sad and my heart ached for Tygra being the last of his kind. Also, I’m not going to lie: Tygra as a baby and a toddler made me gush and my heart melt! 
Last but not least, I liked that we finally got a glimpse at Lion-O and Tygra’s mother and a glimpse into a possible motivation as to why Tygra is so proud and constantly wants to show Lion-O up. The only problem I had with the episode was that there was no mention of Tygra’s birth mother and the fact we’re left with the implication that she died from the plague and that Lion-O’s mother wasn’t given a name. Other than that, great episode! 
I’ve just decided to call Lion-O’s mother Leona. It fits.
Oh sure call one obvious Plot point and now you think you can just Arbitrarely name Characters… 
I like it but I still want an official name.

So after the episode do we get a preview for next weekend no we get green lathen. WHY. What is wrong with leona?
