With that said i will just call her “mum”. Also i hate “Leona” cause a character is named that way in a game called League of Legends that my little brother plays, i dunno i just dont like it. To simple like the rest of the names in this show.
How disappointing. Y’know, I’m with Rizefall on this because I was hoping her name would be something like Leah, Lenore, Leonor, or something pretty, like Lynnette and not Leona because it’s what you’d expect and to me it sounds lacking.
Good post, I think it’s worth to open another thread to discuss the relationship of the adults Claudius, Jaga, Grune, Panthro towards the youngsters Lion-O, Tygra.
IMO it very difficult to say how close the relationship between Tygra and Claudius was. I agree with you in the 6 points, but I think it’s because Claudius barely shows emotions. When Grune told him that Panthro was killed by saving his life Claudius keep a straight face.
We doesn’t know what happen after he announced Tygra his mother died, he put his huge paw on Tygra’s little shoulder and there was a cut after Tygra started to cry.
I was also disappointed that were no final words from Claudius to Tygra, but to be fair Claudius didn’t have the time. He only opened his eyes, probably looked into Lion-o eyes and says that “he made him proud today” before he died.
“Claudius wanted Lion-o to be king.” I agree
But was it Claudius decision only or was it the the law as well? Grune said to Tygra that he would have made a great king, but such honors must be reserved for the bloodline. Maybe it doesn’t matter what Claudius wanted if a law says that the bloodline comes first.
IMO one thing is for sure that Claudius wife loved Tygra at first sight and that she felt sorry when she said to Tygra “You are my handsome little Pri…Darling”
I have no doubt Claudus’ wife loved Tygra the moment she saw him.
Also, Claudus could have thought Tygra would have been a great king because of his qualities, but that doesn’t mean he necessarily wanted Tygra to be king instead of Lion-o. To think someone is or will be good at some job, that doesn’t mean you think others aren’t. Claudus never said “you would be a great king, unlike your silly useless brother”; as a matte of fact, Claudus said Lion-o would be a good king as well.
I think Claudus probably could have named Tygra his heir if Lion-O had proven to be completely inept. There didn’t seem to be a council or parliament or anything that Claudus had to consult before making decisions. I think he was mostly bound by tradition. Grune, as we know, had a pessimistic view on things so I don’t know if we can entirely trust his POV.
Was that really Larry Kenney as Claudus?
IMDB says that Larry Kenney reprises his role as Claudus in this episode, but Claudus’s voice didn’t have that familiar tone to it this time like it did in the first two episodes. Was that really Larry Kenney?
Yes Claudus is Larry Kenney, his voice sounds a bit more baritone and high pitched, it’s not like we had used him but this is probably due to his age and voice acting skills.It fits Claudus very well.In the first episode though, th moment he is about to unleash the attack against the Lizards while holding the Sword of omens, he shouts the Classic moto ‘Thundercats HOOOO’, which resembles very much to his original saying back in the 80s!!
About the epic episode 17-Tygra must have felt relieved towards the end of this episode, he finally found out about his past and his belonging.Javan’s last words ‘Always remember son you are a Tiger, i’ll be watching you with pride’ will resound back to him and make him realize his role isn’t as Lord Of the Thundercats but upholding the honor of the Tyger clan, as the Last alive from the clan.
Additionally, Lion-O will be at piece with Tygra after this crucial episode and will make amends to the unfortunate time they had till now together.
He probably pitched it up a bit because he was playing a Claudus who was around twenty years younger than the one we saw in the pilot.

Peter Newman is alive and he was too busy with Archer to be able to make a guest appearance. Has anyone seen Archer and what do they think of it?
It’s like family guy, but less out there. Also, it’s far from family friendly. Maybe more so than Family Guy. If you’ve got kids, you might want to wait until bed time for this one.
Violent, crude, riddled with offensive dialog. It can be funny. I think I find it funnier than Family Guy, or American Dad. I’ve watched a lot of it, though I need to catch up on this season.
I kind of prefer family guy. Just a preference.
