There’s been a lot of hate on the new Thundertank, but I like it. It gives them far more space and upgrades their ride from a ****pit and a cramped cargo hold to a mobile base of operations with room to expand their roster (Lynx-O, Pumyra, and Bengali FTW!).
Yeah, I think the change is alright, and the main part of the tank MUST be detachable if they want to stay mobile. A vehicle that size would have hard time getting into most places.
My problem with the change is that there was no reason for it whatsoever. It’s not like the tank needed an upgrade. It has always been able to fit everyone and was more than powerful enough for anything they’ve faced. It is no longer the badass tank we know and love - it’s a winnebago.
The change also means there are plenty of Thundertanks on toy shelves that are no longer accurate to what is in the show. Sorry, Bandai.
The creators have repeatedly teased about expanding the team with the other three Thundercats, so there IS a reason for it, the old Thundertank was cramped as it is with the six of them, try cramming three more adults in there. As for the toy side of things any Transformers fan will tell you that show-accuracy isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I understand the desire for the toys to look like the show, but there may be an upgrade further down the line. An upgrade we’ll never get to see if no one supports the show.

I don’t think Lion-o is as mad at Cheetara as he is experiencing yet another negative facet of his relationship with Tygra. I think his willingness to sacrifice Tygra, and Cheetara’s refusal to play along, pointed to that.
Sorry, but watch the beginning of “Sight Beyond Sight” again. There are 2 driver seats and six seats in the back compartment - not to mention the thunder racers. 
I think the tank upgrade would be better received if there was an actual reason for it. As it is it seemed like the Berbils were just like “Hey Panthro we threw all this stuff on top of your tank cause we were bored, hope you like!”
I kinda hope it detaches and actually flies. Like instead of it just detaching and leaving it on the ground it actually stays useful detached and the other cats can have an aerial assault instead of sitting in the back while Panthro drives.
Thundertank transforms into Feliner? Now I’m intrigued. 
Once again, i’m faced with the problem of disliking the plot of an episode because of what i’ve heard about it so much, that i can’t bring myself to watch.
Seriously, after “Sight Beyond Sight”, i just couldn’t bring myself to actually watch the episodes out of fear of how they would play out and how it would effect my overly active imagination.
I didn’t watch the Forestar episode, i didn’t watch the Astral Plane story arc, and now i can’t even bring myself to watch this episode. Honestly, I wish there more episodes like “Journey to the Tower of Omens”, “Legacy”, “TDATD” and “Berbils”. Those episodes weren’t hard on Lion-O or any other Thundercat, they just had interesting stories and good action scenes.
But the last 5 episodes just give me too much to think about and that doesn’t sit well with me.
Then you miss all the good stuff. I dont see your problem at all.

I wish it were still on Friday nights…it would be easier for me to see. I work Saturday and Sunday mornings… Bah!

I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I mean honestly, I can’t afford to get all the CD’s from Japan I would like. And I’m spending FAR too much money to go see one in two weeks. (OMG OMG OMG)

OMG! I just watched it five minutes ago (I can’t say where I found it )! What a great episode!
When I first saw Jackleman, (Kaynar), he reminded me of Hannable Lector from Silence of the Lambs.
My kids and I laughed when we saw Panthro getting his new arms…we really loved it when the new ones punched him in the face. My son loves the new Thundertank.
I am shocked how evil Attacus and Kaynar are so evil, especially how you can tell Attacus ate that bird LOL It’s perfect.
The love triangle is complicated, but I like it, then again, I’m a huge fan of many anime shows. Cheetara needs to stop letting her feelings for Tygra cloud her judgement. I don’t think Lion-O was really going to allow his brother to get killed, I think he was just trying to sound tough to the Mutants. Cheetara was too quick to give up like that, she could have atleast tried to help Tygra before throwing down her staff. She should have showed some backbone first.
What I noticed was how cold Tygra seemed towards the lizards that defected from Slithe and Mumm-ra…it’s almost like “Thanks for the help, now go f%^$ yourself.” Atleast Lion-O tried to help them, but if all three of them would have worked together in the first place, perhaps they could have gotten those lizards to help them.
So I’m going to cut Lion-O some slack here.
All in all, great episode.
Srebak…what is it that bothers you? The look, the direction of the Thundercat team is taking? I love the OS and it will always be the best in my eyes, however the new show has excellent writing, animation and something for everyone. Yeah, we all have our likes and dislikes, but it is today’s Thundercats. Back in the '80s there were more restrictions on animation. Thanks to Anime, the show has been allowed to be more in-depth. I hope you can take it for what it is…a story to fuel your imagination and entertain you at the same time.
Ah sort of a recon craft to scout the best possible routes.

The bird people are close to what Slithor and I imagined what the Avians in our story look like. Just closer to birds of prey form.
Hee-hee, oh yes, I can now easily see them adding Lynx-O, Pumyra, and Bengali now that the Tank is bigger and can accommodate more passengers.
I thought the NS Legacy-era Thundertank was too flat, too sleek. More like a sports car than a “tank.” The Berbil-enhanced model looks like it means business, and it seems more realistic that the cats can use it as a mobile base of sorts. A combination APC and assault vehicle.
Now the Thundertank is a deadly Winnebago, if you will (which just reminded me of “Spaceballs”).
