After this whole debacle is through, I imagine he very well may. Also his overcompensation is his defense/coping mechanism. Until we see more of his origins, I agree with others and say it’s a part of his inferiority complex, disguised as a superiority complex.

Yeah, that wasn’t smart of him. But i doubt anyone would have believed him except Jaga if he had come right out and said it.
Matthew Mercer has said though that this is Tygra’s character. I don’t remember his exact words but that Tygra is harder on himself than he is on anyone else and that he struggles with not feeling worthy.
It’s well known that bullies are very insecure people who try to make themselves feel better about themselves by bullying others. Tygra is very much fitting into the character of a bully. It’s completely believable that he is actually extremely insecure and doesn’t feel worthy and is trying to hide it with his exterior show of confidence and putting Lion-O down all the time.
Any more gross that snakey Voldemort? In the last HP movie, when Lucius and Narcissa command Draco to join them when Hagrid is holding Harry’s body, it was very creepy to see Voldemort hug Draco. I think Mumm-Ra wouldn’t be as bad as him.
I would be curious to know how Tygus lost that eye.
But that’s purely subjective information. Even if they had ignored him, I would’ve rather Lion-O had told somebody. Ominous red eyes appearing in a device that has determined your people’s direction for generations… yeah, keep that to yourself buddy :rolleyes: Sorry, I suppose I do hold some bitterness from that still.
@CodeofThundera: Is there a recent study on that? All my bullies generally hated me, and they weren’t insecure. But i do see Tygra (Claudus and Grune too) as bullies. Maybe even Thundera’s citizens. Mumm-ra and Voldey tie for me.

I haven’t been looking for studies done on the subject lately. 
Bullies won’t act insecure, they’ll act confident. You can’t bully anyone if you don’t display confidence, either unaware of their insecurities or else trying to drive them away by focusing on others. I can’t quote anyone on that, it’s been years since I’ve heard or read anything on the subject. I think bullies all have something they’re hiding. Something they’re afraid of anyone else seeing. A truth about them that they are ashamed of.
When/if Grune dies, I’m going to cry. Gruuuuune, why did you have to become my favorite character?
On Tygra: I have a hard time understanding why the writers would take a good guy from the OS and actually turn him into a bad guy. They’re bound to turn many old fans against them if they do that.
Grune is super awesome. I hope the final duel ends in him seeing the error of his ways but something tells me that’s just nit gonna happen.
As for Tygra being a baddie that’s just not gonna fly. There’s change on the winds for Friday and I see Tygra finally getting to say his piece. Liono will learn and the brothers will bond.

WORD Alluro, Grune is a stud muffin mcgee when it comes to being a bad guy. Personally I hope Panthro drops the people’s elbow on that fool though. And you are right, Tygra ain’t going bad, he may be proud, but a tiger will never change his stripes to that degree. FRIDAY!

The poster did ask “This among other titles and dates are listed. This legit?” and the Crew replied “Seems about right.”
Those dates also have the two parter on the same night. I doubt CN would give Thundercats the whole hour. As much as it pains me to say this, we’ll be taking another break after this episode.

I think if this episode is going to have some connection to OS’ “Trial of Mind Power” (as someone suggested), then it all will be an illusion. Both eps even have a warning ahead of them, and both had Tygra as the central character (besides lion-o, that is).
Before Lion-o entered the trial of mind power, Tygra warned him that by the end of the day he will be facing his greatest fear, and Lion-o said he fears nothing (yeah, right lol). It all turned out to eb an illusion.
“Between Brothers” follows the same pattern to me: before Lion-o entered the Astral Palne, Anet warns him that by the end of the day he will be facing his brother’s greatest betrayal, and Lion-o said he knows his brother wouldn’t betray him. See the connection there? If there is any parallelism, then it all will be an illusion.
Now, I agree with those that think producers wouldn’t risk to gain fans animosity by turning a beloved good character into a bad one, but this show being as infantile as it’s been in some parts so far (with some exceptions), I can pretty well imaginge producers pleasing kids, thus turning Tygra bad so they won’t feel bad/sad when Cheetara chooses Lion-o, because Tygra was bad after all.
And Grune dying? NOOOO!!!
you’re just arguing semantics there. how should he have said it? just like the sword another person you don’t deserve? the sword’s not a person so that would’ve been wrong too.
