Happy threads and only 11 months to wait lol. And 4 to see the cartoon. I think i’ll only collect the classic figure series. Mumm Ra look amazing with his fold out wings and Lion O, well looks very much the same. I just pray in the new show he DOES grow up quick and its not an entire season of him looking like that poster picture
Oh and they also looked like they were offering a whole toy claw that kids attached to their wrists. sounds cool
I just pray the show is good enough to have some longevity! Someone said it reminded them of GIJoe Renegades.
Well Larry Kenney loved it, Matt Mercer loved it and so did Jim Meskimen too. BUT they are voicing it so i guess thats bias. I just hope its like when Chris Nolan took the helm of Batman
Personaly, I’m not too impressed with Panthro and I HATE how Tygra has a gun.
I do however like the new “Kingly” armoured look for Lion-O… so unless this series becomes some kind of musical I will love it and be loyal no matter what!

hehe yea a musical would imply Raimi, not Nolan. I don’t think we need a Raimi influenced TCats.
According to ToplessRobot.com Lion-O WILL NOT start out as young, then become older in the Suspension Capsule… he will be the late teens (early 20’s??) throughout the entire series.
The more I get used to the idea, the less that bothers me… you can still have the “coming of age” sub-plot where kids can learn and grow with Lion-O… like learning to not swing your sword around no matter where you were as I did at ages 5 to about ten minutes ago…I ended up going through about 15 toy sword of omens’, 1 wooden one that my dad made… he was shaking his head for years…LOL
I’m actually loving the new designs. I was very apprehensive when I heard that the Thundercats were being updated, but I’m happy with the final results. I’m really looking forward to the Classics line, and I’m betting I’ll be collecting everything they bring out. I really hope that Bandai pulls out all the stops with this relaunch.

So they were actually saying they plan on over producing these figures? Supplying more figures than fans/retailers are demanding
Can’t wait to see the classic figures. Looking forward to those the most. I hope they make more than Mumm-Ra and Lion-O. I can’t imagine the are not aware of the huge pent up demand for toys of the classic Thundercats designs.

On the video they were displaying at bandai stand they did show Tygra’s bull whip too and Panthros fire and water nunchuks.

forgive me if I am wrong, but in the Episode Pumm-Ra, doesnt Mumm-Ra come across a room in Cats Lair that has loads of guns in it. Admittedly they never are seen again
A Bandai rep via Twitter has already commented on the leaks in a lighthearted way. One of the TC writers said they are looking at July to premiere the series, but I expect to see the big push at SDCC in July regardless.
