I’m really looking forward to the classic figures.
I snapped a quick photo of the Bandai made classic Red Ranger from a few years ago next to a MOTUC Faker. Obviously Bandai could be going in a different direction for the classic Thundercats, but it’s still nice to see how they could turn out:

The only criticism I have of the Red Ranger (and Bandai toys in general) is how they use so many visible screws in their figures, especially in the back. It makes them look really cheap. Still, I’ll buy doubles, maybe even triples of the classic Thundercats line if it turns out as good as that Red Ranger.
Yea, i keep hearing that.. Liono will be a teen and you will watch him grow.
Rather than him automatically buff up and become a great fighter just by sleeping, lol…

Right, so the classic figures are going to be 8 inch like the originals, but the originals were 7 inch scale, weren’t they? Is there some sort of difference between US & UK inches?
Actually the figures varied in height 
Panthro and Tygra were shorter than Lion-O.
Based on Tygra’s new design I’d say their intention is to make him the initial team* long range specialist.
Keep in mind Bengali’s hammer functioned very much like a gun.

Yeah you’re right, but none of them were 8 inch. I really would love it if they were in the same scale as the MOTUC figures, which are 7 inch ish.
The MOTUC line is awesome for adult collectors. The new line will be good for the next generation as they can take a figure and put it in their pocket on trips or something and Bandai can design hopefully really good playsets that fit the scale.
They look great, they have to have some uniqueness
I don’t really know about the light cycle thing. I mean the Thundercats had some great vehicles (Thunderclaw, Hovercat, Feliner) that this light cycle almost feels lazily borrowed from Tron or the Chris Nolan Batman films.
I need a better shot of the Thundertank before passing judgment on that, but the initial design from the blurry pic, I’m not really sold on it.
Looking forward to NY Toy Fair so we get more high res pics of their display setup they’ll have there.
That Red Ranger doesn’t look too bad next to Faker. There may be some hope yet. I just hope the Classic line is a success so we can get more than just Lion-O and Mumm-Ra
On the subject of Tygra having a gun, I think it is a great addition providing it is used sparingly and does not over power him. It would be even better if it was a glue gun or something similar and not a powerful weapon at all.

Mostly stuff we already know, except some of it is inaccurate They state that the new toys will be 4,6 and 8 inch (as well as the Classics being 8") When in fact from what we heard the new toys will be 4 and 6 inches only.
We also know that Wilykat and WilyKit are in the new cartoon (and as for toys it’s obvious all the characters won’t be released in the first wave anyway) So those comments can also be misleading as well..
There are 3 scales though right?
4 inch = Modern designs
6 inch = Modern designs
8 inch = Classic designs

I wish the Modern and Classic deluxe lines were done in the same scale though…
To quote the article: “According to Dark Horse Bandai will be releasing figures in 3 different scales, (4”, 6", 8") plus a 8" Classics line which will start off with a Classic version of Lion-O."
How that is worded, it sounds like they say both the new and classics toys will have an 8" line (which from what we heard isn’t the case)

Thats is why I said I would like both Modern and Classic designs to be available in the same scale.
Mostly the reason why I posted it because of the inaccuracy of the info. I do hope who ever told him this info doesn’t know what there talking about cause just having lion-o and tygra for the first release would be a bummer:( granted I’ll still buy them up.
