Thundercast Site

Looks very nice!
I just had a listen to the podcast as well and thought it went very well, I’ll have to get in on the next one providing I get my Laptop sound fixed.

I iimagine we’re waiting for a little more editing for it to go public? www.thundercast.net and www.thundercast.org now point to the podcast webpage. I just listened to it and it sounds great

Yeh, Manny is going to do some final tweaks on it and then is ready to be announced… V exciting

Sorry guys for the slow down…I know you guys want this out ASAP…I’m off from school now so I should have the podcast edited sometime this week. I promise and I don’t usually say that!

Guys I’m almost done listening to the podcast. Very good stuff, it’s fun hearing your voices and the back and forth… very funny and it goes beyond just a few fans chatting. Very nicely facillitated and topical. Top job!

I hope you skipped thru my part of the podcast, i sound HORRIBLE.

On a side note, Neil would you be up to a toy p0dcast for our episode #2.

MannyC, you woud get less static and feedback on Skype if you were using a headset. I enjoyed hearing your ThunderCub in the background. LOL

Chris here…

Believe it or not, I believe MannyC is actually using a headset - I remember us having a laugh one time when Manny told me he had the mic almost in his mouth! I have a dirty mind!

Mark, do you ever use a headset to talk on Skype? One day it’d be great to chat that way if you were up for it!

Take care…

If the I sound is the same on the next podcast I will definitely be getting a better headset.

I don’t have a headset at the moment unfortunately… but I could always pick one up!

I’d like to do a section on the next podcast about animation art.

Chris, I look forward to a Skype chat with you one day soon!

Chris here…

Sounds great, Mark, it would be good to talk properly, and I’ve always been of the opinion that it would be good to have you talking about animation art and the animation process on one of the podcasts. So yeah, if you fancy to chat and/or take part in a future ThunderCast, I’d be all for it!

Take care…

I think the plan is to do a summary of the DVDs just to kind of wrap up the cartoon aspect…though I’m sure we’ll be going back to the cartoon in future episodes. There is a ton of stuff to talk about, so we’re going to have to pace ourselves.

Yeah, I think it would be cool to lead on from the Exodus discussion with an episode covering both the R1 and R2 S1V1 DVD sets. That way we can briefly cover anything we missed on Exodus from the first episode. But if everyone else is happy, I’m happy to do a ā€˜toys’ Thundercast for episode #3

Actually, I’d meant to ask you MannyC, do you know how much we have earned from commission on Amazon.com? The reason I ask is because if we have enough, it would be cool to giveaway a S1V1 DVD set as a competition to go with episode #2. Even better would be to giveaway both a region 1 set and a region 2 set. If we all put around Ā£5 in, I’m sure we could buy both (if we don’t have enough at Amazon.com in the form of commission) Would anyone be up for this?

Anyone know how much the region 2 Thundercats set costs now at HMV? I know it’s Ā£23.99 online.

Unfortunately the account at Amazon.co.uk hasn’t had any activity since I bought some DVD’s through it, so we only have about 70 pence on it, at the minute. I guess it doesn’t help that they no longer stock the Thundercats set on there :frowning:

Episode 3 would be excellent. Matter of fact we could still record it way ahead of time and when episode 3 comes around we can release it and without waiting too long.

Currently there is no commission over at Amazon :frowning: however i believe that we have something like $14 in TCL’s paypal account so thats a little bit of help. Amazon has the S2V2 set for like $35 so we would need to come up with another $21. I am wondering what kind of competition we can have for podcast #2 to give away a DVD set

I’m not surprised as like I said, the account at amazon.co.uk is pretty much the same. However you will probably get some commission in the amazon.com account soon as Chris tells me he just ordered all the He-Man DVD sets the other day. Out of interest, how much money do you need to have earnt at amazon.com before you can spend it?

Well I’d prefer it was S1V1 seeing as that’s what we would be discussing in the podcast. It seems that’s priced at $45.99 at Amazon.com

So we’d need $32 for that set… if the whole team contributed it would only be around $4 each.

Well it’s an incentive to listen to the podcast, so the best way would be to set a very simple question, of which the answer lies in the middle of the podcast. For example: What is MannyC’s favourite character? I’d also like to restrict it to forum members only, so perhaps have entries made via pm.

It’s cool to have competitions, but in tern they need to promote the site by getting folks to sign up to the forums and download the podcast. Otherwise there isn’t much point in them really.

Hey guys,

I added the intro and exit music in along with a message in the beginning about the audio problems. I know Neil wanted to have some stuff from the Exodus episode put into the podcast, but I’m not sure where to put it. Would it be okay if we didn’t put it in? The podcast is over an hour so it would just make it longer.

Let me know what you guys think.

Also, Kyle – When you add the podcast to the iTunes store, if you could add Neil’s notes into the description (ie, show notes) along with both the site’s url and the podcast url(s).

EDIT: Does anyone know how much €15 is in US dollars?

Will do manny… i will have a go once I have added the new edit to the site. (where can i find your laest edit?)

Also €15 is 20.34 US dollars

Cheers manny

Well I’d prefer the sound clips went in to be honest, as I did specifically make them for the podcast and spent a bit of time doing them :frowning: I’m happy to get on Skype anytime and help you with the task of inserting them!

www.xe.net currency converter is always pretty accurate

That’s cool Neil, I’ll add them. May be if you could give me a time marker or description where I could insert the clips that would make it easier. Actually, if you could do that, it would probably be pretty quick for me to insert.

Consider it done  I’ll do it sometime tomorrow!
