As promised at last nights meeting I have made a site for the Thundercast.
As long as I am working at Apple, I can host this for free, Update it within minutes without ftp and publish the podcast to iTunes. The site allows people to listen to the podcast directly from the webpage or subscribe it into iTunes.
If we have a Domain in mind we can use that to forward to my hosting. Let me know is this is all cool and if the site works ok on your end.
Also I need an introductary paragraph for the front page about the Thundercast.. as well as an About piece of text explaining what we do at TCL and about the Thundercast and in future guests etc…
Kyle, that looks awesome! My one question would be, is there supposed to be a red “bar” at the bottom of that page like there is on our site, or were you not able to do that (or indeed, maybe you decided against doing that) for this mini-site? Either way, it looks magic!
If you guys need any text for this, LMK - I don’t want to push myself forward (and believe too that MannyF had some stuff he wanted to say about this?), but am happy to help if needed!

Should we have a page to cover a bit about the folks on the podcasts? Perhaps the ‘about’ page can be expanded for this?

A Note from your episode 1 host, Neil: Please be aware that this was our very first attempt at recording a podcast and my first ever attempt at trying to host one! We did (I regret) have some technical issues surrounding this particular recording and we (as a team) weighed up whether to make it public or not. The original idea was to re-record it instead. However we felt that seeing as we covered everything we wanted to and some excellent points were made that we’d share it with other Thundercats fans! So I hope you like it. Guessing your talking about the addition of the sound clips from Exodus? If so, if you need any help in where they need to be slotted in let me know Manny. Also make sure you remove my comment about Ain’t It Cool News too!! lol
Kyle: Unfortunately when I load the page there is still no red space at the bottom like there is here on TCL - however, if this isn’t an easy fix, I don’t think it’s a big deal.
A general suggestion - do you think on the ThunderCast site we should reference the date it was recorded? The reason why I say that is because in the podcast we talk about the concept art that surfaced, as well as discuss the debunked “rock band” concept, and new concept art has emerged that suggests WB actually were considering the rock band concept, which we don’t reference in the podcast. Not a big deal, but just something that occured to me - what do you think?

Might be a IE problem as it displays fine on Firefox with the bottom part complete for me.

Yeah I think that’s a very good idea, perhaps put in brackets at the side of the posting date (recorded on 00/00/00) I put zeros because I’m not sure what the recording date was! lol
OK, here’s some text for the front page, which I hope will be OK - I’ve tried to modify my natural style of writing so that the way I would naturally write the name of the podcast (“ThunderCast”) is in sync with Neil’s way of writing it (“Thundercast”)!
Welcome to the official “mini-site” for Thundercast, the world’s very first Internet radio broadcast devoted to the classic animated series Thundercats!
Thundercast is a project conceived and created by the team at www.thundercatslair.org, one of the newest and largest resources on the Internet for Thundercats information. Throughout future episodes, the team will be discussing anything and everything to do with Thundercats, ranging from in-depth discussion of your favourite episodes to news, reviews, and much more!

Thundercast is a project created by the team at www.thundercatslair.org. The site, often referred to as “TCL”, was launched at the end of 2005 and in that time has become a favourite for many Thundercats fans for its exciting and wide-ranging content. The idea for creating a Thundercats podcast was the brainchild of TCL’s Site Director, Manny, and became a reality in April 2007 with the launch of episode 1. Although the first episode suffers from some early technical “teething problems”, the team at TCL are nonetheless very proud to present this project, which they hope all Thundercats fans will enjoy!

Cool that things are moving so fast now with this I’m excited to see what the reaction will be (good and bad) I should get a few emails saying “you suck as an host” hehe
Kyle could you do the same for www,thundercast.net and www.thundercast.org. I tried the forwarding feature at goddaddy but it deosnt seem to work which leads me to believe the forwarding must be done on your end.
Yeah just realized that, however Im trying to do the same with www.thundercatsonline.com but it doesnt work. Well at least the ones for the Thundercast work good
