I agree, because of Pantho’s knowledge of technology I think he will relate better with Lion-O, something more or less like Tygra with Grune.

[spoiler]He could know that the cleric was a girl because of her eyes, and about him knowing her name already, well maybe he asked Lion-O about her after the three of them fought together.
I don’t know, maybe Tygra really knows Cheetara before but I’m pretty sure he didn’t know she was a cleric, because he was as suprised as Lion-O when he rescued her.[/spoiler]

I don’t believe he knew her prior to their fight in front of the lizards, since he didn’t know she was a cleric. Lion-O probably introduced her after Claudus let the lizards go. Wouldn’t you want to know who the mysterious female is that came to your rescue?
I do suppose that’s a good point. It could have happened off screen. shrugs just a little theory. lol
Tygra probably knows her from before. Might be form childhood where they both got trained for something. I mean Jaga probably could do lots more than run fast and use magic, if Tygras invisibilty power is magic or not is still in discussion right?
If not, it might just be s childhood thing nfor all i care and know.
To the first one..uh..she was the only Cleric with boobs? >_>
The second one. I took notice of that. But he was surprised about her job. So if they knew each other before, it wasn’t through the Cleric thing.
I’m highly looking forward to the next episode to see if we see any revelations on the characters backgrounds. They’re on their own now, and will be forced to stay together. So details between them will probly be shared.

Watched it again today. I’m certain it was Lion-O who said “Cheetara” and not Tygra, it sounds like Lion-O’s voice, even though they immediately cut to Tygra first. It may be possible that Tygra did not know Cheetara prior to when she jumped in front of them when they were ready to take on the mob.
Theory: The City of El Dara (sp?) where Wilykat was telling Wilykit they would go to when they found the map where they would find treasure - I’ll bet the Book of Omens is there.
I have to agree that there might be a good chance at that one. 
Yep, that’s my theory as well. I also think the entire reason why the Thunderkittens are tagging along with Lion-O’s crew is to get to El Darra.
Pretty sure it was Tygra who said “Cheetara?!”. The voice was a little deeper and he’s the first one shown after Cheetara’s reveal with Lion-O behind him.
I think this is very possible, and like the idea 
In the OS, they both seemed to share a special friendship; maybe the writers wanted to honor that this time around by making them know each other since cubs.
I think Grune will stay in Thundera for a little while and become its new ruler. He in turn will turn over slave labor and resources to the lizards and Mumm-Ra.
Either that, or it will be dangled at Grune as a prize by Mumm-Ra – I believe controlling what’s left of Thundera is Grune’s endgame.
This idea is giving me the image that Tygra may have been placed under Jaga’s care to become a cleric which is where he learned his trick of invisibility and perhaps mental powers we have yet to see which were touched upon in the original series, but for whatever reason, he stopped that training and pursued a military career instead. Hmm…
I’m contemplating that Mumm-Ra will build his pyramid where Cats Lair once stood. Or perhaps rebuild the Cats Lair to look like the Sphinx with his pyramid by it. Just a thought.
My theory is Tygra and Bengali are in fact brothers and will meet up later in the series.
And later on both of them will have to confront their father Claudis’s old enemy the Shadow Master.
Why do ThunderCats look different than ordinary Thunderians? Its like most Thunderians are normal ‘house cats’ while ThunderCats have characteristics of ‘big cats’. As soon as Lynx-O popped up you could clearly notice the distict difference.
Maybe it’s a sign of them being of noble heritage. Kit and Kat are though to be house cats as well, and they’re street urchins.
I suspect that they didn’t want to confuse viewers in the very first episodes by drawing several lion Thunderians surrounding Lion-O. Hopefully being a purebred cat isn’t just restricted to the ‘nobles’ since Pumyra, Lynx-O, and Bengali weren’t nobles in the OS and it’d be nice if they stayed regular citizens in the new series.
I wouldn’t be surprised though if Pumyra is a commoner, but Bengali and Lynx-O are. Her only real distinctive markings are those few white stripes in her hair.
It’s probably so they don’t have to make out hundreds of completely unique designs. For the main characters sure, but all the rest? The cost would sky rocket and the time to make the eps would go up as well probably lessening the number of eps per season. That’s what I think anyway.
I figure Tygra will continue to be the skeptic for a long time. For example, I think Lion-O will meet the Robear Berbils and will want to help them and make them allies. Tygra will probably say it’s a waste of time and they’re not helpful, but in the end, Tygra will be proven wrong. They’ll probably use this a few times to demonstrate Lion-O’s ultimate superiority to Tygra as a leader, and to give Tygra humility and overall respect for Lion-O.
Well the OS had the same concept, you could see the ‘commoner’ look when the refugees were being found.
