This is the impression that I had got after watching the last episode also.
What is sure IMO is that those Cats seen with Mumm-Ra are definitely related to Lion-O and Tygra; not only they looked pretty much like them (they could have had a lion and a tiger that looked a little different have they wanted to), but the tiger shared the same root in his name with Tygra: Tygus.
That made me think in LotR, where fathers and sons shared a similar name.
I just thought it was a lack of creativity with their names. Seriously, we know they are tigers. :eek:
I think characters in teh same linage share similar names, or the root in them (well, except for Claudus and Lion-o lol) But maybe tigers were more aristochratic and trditionals than lions.

Tygus and Leo didn’t seem to get along very well in the episode Legacy. After all, Leo/Lion-O pointed a gun at Tygus to confiscate the stone after he returned to the ship with it. And Tygus gave the same angry growl that Tygra has given to Lion-O.
I wonder if Tygra doesn’t have certain “family secrets” that have been passed down through the ages. Or if maybe he’ll discover them along the journey.
Oh who am I kidding, they’re never going to give him that kind of focus. :sneaky:
I’m afraid that Lion-o could have changed the course of History in “Legacy”. It is well-known that when someone travels to the past, it is only as an observer to learn, not to act, because that will have consequences in the future (that is, the present).
Did you mean to post this in the thread about the episode instead?
I was under the impression that Lion-O was able to act out the events of history without actually changing history. The book records history and has a magic to allow him to play an active part in it, but I don’t think he replaced Leo’s soul in history. I think it was more like a role playing game.

Maybe each race had it’s own Stone of Power and when Mumm-Ra took it from them they became his slaves. That is how they were all enslaved on the ship in the “Legacy” episode. The Thundercats having the Eye of Thundera have never had to feel that type of pain and have always prospered even after that battle since they always maintained their own source of power.
I think in order for Lion-O to unite all the races and defeat Mumm-ra each race will have to have it’s own Power Stone again. Lion-O will find each stone and give it to the respective leaders of each race. One to Kaynar, Slythe and whatever they decide to name Monkian. Then when the epic battle takes place, Lion-O along side his new allies all use their power to vanquish evil once and for all creating a new allegiance for all races to live and prosper on Third Earth.
I think it would be a really bad Idea to give a stone to Slithe, Kaynar, or Monkian.
He did never travel to the past, he just took part of the books records. Which means that Jaga told him to do what he said in the episode to help Lion-O. So no he did not change anything, and now you are saying that Jaga told him off? “It is well known that when someone travels to the past, it is only as an observer to learn”
See? He did never travel to the past. Why? Cause he was no observer. You just owned yourself with your own argument 
basically what happened was the Thundercats equivalent of the Assassin’s Creed game.
in the game, they require the player’s character to relive the actions of his ancestor in order to gain access to the information in the memories, but the player isnt actually sent back, just in a machine
this is pretty much what happened to Lion-O. remember Jaga told him he had to do everything right or he wouldnt gain access to the Book of Omens. coupled with some of what Jaga said at the end of the episode, it is clear that Lion-O was reliving the actions of his ancestor in order to gain access to the information in the memories
In other words, Jaga made Lion-O play a realistic sim.
Most importantly, he wasn’t in on the rebellion at all. He was probably fiercely loyal to Mumm-Ra.

Like the others have said, it was a holographic recorded simulation so pretty much Lion-o couldn’t have altered anything. Its just a cool cam-corder hehe
Sure they did. That was the whole point. And he often changed things in his own history, or Al’s history, and was in an almost new present the one time he did go home temporarily.
it looked to me like only Leo and Panthera were in on the rebellion. didnt you notice all the cats getting beat up by the newly released prisoners, while Panthera basically just stood to the side? and the fact that they had to cause a mini-riot to discuss the plans, so the guards wouldnt know about it?
it looked more like a “I am going to overthrow Mumm-Ra and free the slaves” rather than a “we are going to overthrow Mumm-Ra and free the slaves”

Yes, but Jaga warned him not to fail, implying that he could have done something, otherwise the warning wouldn’t have made sense at all.
Jaga said if he failed the book wouldn’t open for him anymore, not that he would change history.
