I don’t know if there’s a thread for this since I’m having trouble searching. Anyway, I thought we should have a thread for the random theories we may have. I’ll start us off.
I think that Lion-O and other wielders of the Sword of Omens can not only make it longer or shorter, but can control how dull or sharp it is. This way Lion-O can make his blows a lot less lethal if he doesn’t want to kill someone he’s fighting.
Also, I believe that the Conquedor and the Soul Sever are the same species, based mainly on them having very similar arms and hands.
Is it possible that some members of the Tiger Clan may have survived the plague because they were immune to the disease and migrated to another area to preserve the Tiger Clan?
Anyone can use the sword, but it can only reach its full potential in Lion-O’s hands.
Not too sure about the status of women in Thundera. Cheetara was aloud to become a Cleric, and Pumyra was in the army ( did any of the soldiers from the premier appear to be female?) , but I’m not sure if a female/Queen would be given rights to the sword. Like if Lion-O was instead a woman, would she inherit the SoO?
A normal tiger mother gave birth to a tiger with white fur. He was seen as a freak of nature by the Clan, who banished the tiger and his parents to a far-off place, where there were similar tigers, who were also banished as babies and, unknown to others, formed their own clan, the Clan of the White Tiger, who are much humbler than their “normal” counterparts, who were dependent on pride. This clan took in the little white tiger and his parents and grew up as Ben-Gali.
Considering white tigers are much more likely to die in the wild because:
-they have white fur and that isn’t good camoflauge in the area they live
-they are less agressive
-they tend have bad eyesight
-they may be deaf or have bad hearing in general
Speaking of Bengali, my theory is that he’s descended from the original blacksmith’s from the flashbacks, and/or he inherited that big hammer used to forge the Sword of Plundarr.
As a LiChee, I hope Lion-O and Cheetara will hook up in some future episodes. Like if Cheetara breaks up with Tygra and spends more time with Lion-O; then they grow closer. There’s not many LiChees on this forum.
Actually, if Ben-Gali was deaf or at least HOH, it would not only make for an interesting plot twist, but maybe even be something that can be a positive outreach with people who are within the Deaf Community, and bring in more fans because of making a character relateable to them.
I’m not saying that Lynx-O being blind isn’t just good enough anymore, but I have to be honest with you, with popular characters like Toph being blind I feel like that quality for televisin characters just begins to feel like a ‘been there, done that’ kind of situation.
That, and with Ben-Gali’s white fur, it can easily be implied that he grew up in a lot of mountainus range or just somewhere with lots, and lots, and LOTS of snow. (i’m just sayin’)
As with Bengali’s eye sight, if he were another far less seeing cat, AND a blacksmith, I could see him wearing a pair of steampunk like goggles to help him see better, plus to protect his eyes from damage in his work.
I had a theory that any tailed cat in the series was a domesticated house cat, compared to the far larger feral cats (Lions, Tigers, Pumas, etc.). I figured the whole “This guy is higher on the food chain” is really true, considering Lion-o could probably eat any of those tabbys you see in the pilot episodes were in RL (where they’re walking around eating food at the celebration of Grune coming back.)
So considering a domesticated short hair is obviously MUCH smaller than a lion, maybe the gene is interfering with having a tail and not having a tail.
Just a theory.
Could also work for any of the other species, as I think the mangy dog getting beaten up in the slums in the pilot episodes had a tail (and some of the dogs in the dog city did not).
True, Panthro did have a tail, which he may have lost in a battle. I believed Cats with tails were segregated from the cats that didn’t have tails and were treated as second class citizens, living in the slums like the other animals.
So maybe it’s a form of status? Lose your tail, you’re considered an adult? It kind of makes sense as the children would need it to learn to walk, but losing it at a later time in their life would be… a little harsh just for status.
I just had another idea. Maybe not having a tail is considered being closer to the as yet seen humans (Mumm-ra was based on I believe an advisor from egyptian times) and so if they have a tail, they are not as civilized or “perfect.” This brings me to another thought, what are the religions of the TCats? Tried looking it up, couldn’t find a thing, and I’ve never seen anything mentioned in the OS or the NS.
I like theorycrafting for TCats, gives more fuel for the fanfic fire
a female Lion-o would have been good. Though i wonder how the triangle would have gone? Maybe she’d like girls?
