We all want the show to go beyond 52 episodes…except maybe the the vile one.
There are SO many stories that have emerged from this NS that can easily take us into a 3rd, 4th or even 5th season.

The Creators want “only” two seasons cause that’s the planned story they want to tell. More then that would be awesome but i would be happy with 52 episodes. At least it got enough.
Don’t get me wrong I agree with you and I know they only want 2 seasons,(and yes I will be happy with that too) but there are so many stories that can justify it carrying on, the rebuilding of Thundera in a 3rd season with Liono as king would be awesome, cheetara rebuilding the clerics, panthro and lynxo rebuilding the military with pumyra promoted to an officer, the kittens struggling with seetling down with their family again, etc, etc, and the relationships and dynamics that go with that. Or how about liono dealing with uniting the races and stopping them fighting each other? Maybe ther can be a small party hunting kaynar, slithe and addicus who are now war criminals on the run? The assuming mumm ra is defeated in season 2, he can return at the end of season 3 bigger and badder than ever as a cliffhanger! I can think of loads just off the top of my head.
Like I said, I’d be happy with two seasons, but the quality of the show is SO good, and the potential is SO awesome that there could EASILY be more seasons. The fan demand is certainly there.
I wouldn’t say they only want two seasons. It’s just they they’ve planned for two seasons.

Also we dont know, maybe lots of that will happen offscreen or ONscreen in Season 2. Kinda hard to be wishing for stuff AFTER the show when it’s far from down (of what we know at least).
Regarding the planning, IF they wanted more season they would have PLANNED for more right? As far i take that statement, the series ending would come by the end of the second season. What ever end that would be how can they continue it? They planned to make Thundercats two seasons and that’s hopefully what it gets. IF not for some reason the show by season two gets super popular and the toys will sell like crazy i dont think nothing more will be done.
It may not, I’m just saying the potential is there if they did.
Honestly, if the show only needs 52 episodes to fulfill the story, I’m all for it stopping there. I think it’d be great if there were more episodes, but all shows have to end eventually, and if they only plan on 52 then I’ll expect 52 until further notice.
The problem they will face when doing the second season is this:
Either they make season two the last season (Like they planned) with the show ending and everything resolved.
Or they end it with a cliffhanger with ideas and plans for Season 3 that might not even materialize.
That’s the problem with shows, you HAVE to gamble. That’s why i think it’s great they only aimed for two seasons and hopefully they will get that one and none of us fans will be sad, other then that we might have wanted them to make more.
Like I said, completely fine with only 2 seasons. Most shows like TCats don’t get many more than 60 epsidoes anyway.
No not really. They only get so much time to plan things and write the storys. They have deadlines. Why would they waste time and money on season 3 or 4 when they’re still working on season 1 and 2?
After Mumm-Ra is defeated they could still bring in other villains or create their own big bad to take his place.

They PLANNED for two seasons, they WANTED two seasons.
If they WANTED 3-4 season, they would PLAN for 3-4 seasons.
That’s everything i’ve said. Never said anything about “wasting money” or never mentioned seasons 3-4 until you did right now.
I’m talking about the whole gang when the idea was brought up how much the TEAM wanted to plan, not the “contract” or what ever that would show a PLAN for their work which was for example to CN. Catch my drift?
Typing this again also, when creating season two they can choose to do two things. Either they make it so season two is the final season give the show an ending, wrap up all loose ends and call it a day, or they try to continue the story, add new stories (drag it out like some want to call it) and end it at a cliffhanger with a CHANCE that the show will get a third season.
No I don’t understand what you’re saying at all. You say if they wanted more seasons they should’ve planned for them. I’m saying planning for more seasons would’ve cost more time and more money. They hope for more seasons, but you don’t lay down a plan for more seasons until you’re pretty sure you’re going to get them.
