The numbers are quite good for the Cats
The numbers there has changed alot. Has someone changed to the KIDS ratings? Cause before the premiere "only"had 2,4 million in the 18+ depertment, also does not make sense the Premiere had more viewers at the end of it, by that much? Someone has changed that page and i would like some proof it’s real.
EDIT: ye, someone probably put in random numbers. The link for the first two episodes says 2,4 millon. Yet on the wiki it says something different.
Some numbers don’t add up to the latest ratings but this is Wikipedia’s offisial site.
Maybe they have included all American viewers irrespective of the age category into into rating for each episode

That’s probably the case. Usually when we look at the ratings in the thread here we look at a specific demographic. Wikipedia probably included all demographics.
How do you find the overall ratings for the show on Saturday mornings? I’d be curious to know how it has done numerically speaking since the move to Saturday as opposed to Friday night so we could compare and contrast the results.
Into the Astral Plane got about 1.5 million views. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Trials of Lion-O, Part One got 3.5 million views. Those are just two random ones, but I think it proves a point.

I really don’t know how to read these ratings, but I also understand it gets decent views. This week’s episode is more hyped so it’ll probably get more views.

Should explain the whole ratings/share concept.
So on Saturday TC received 2.0/8 Meaning out of 115 Million homes that Neilson estimates that have TVs 2% were watching TC. The 8 is the percentage based on actual total TV viewers for the period.
So doing the math .02*115000000= 2.3 Million people were watching TC last Saturday.
Yeah 2.3 million for just ages 6-11 wich is good but we still don’t know what the ratings are for adults. At least the more kids that watch it the better chance they will buy the toys.
It’s already been said they go for the kids rating. What ever the adult rating would be. But would the adult rating be OVER THE TOP, of course THEN they would count it int. Dumbasses…
So your saying that they only count the adult ratings if they are greater then the kids or something to that effect? That doesn’t really make any sense.
I remember Dan Norton saying once that they while it’s nice to know the adult ratings that the crew doesn’t really pay any attention to them.
You did not get my point i assume? They dont care about the adult ratings, but i ASSUME that IF the adult ratings would be sky high for some reason. Let’s say it had the biggest viewership of any show that whole week. I doubt they would just ignore that even though they only care about the kids.
Yeah I would think so too. But who knows? I think the only real reason they care more about the kids viewing is because they want the toys to sell better.
Right. At the end of the day this is still a children’s show. Sure it’s nice if it has adult fans, but children are the key demographic and that’s what they are going to pay attention to.

Just for those wondering, I have listed the UK TV ratings for Thundercats since it’s premiere on Cartoon Network. Also, the repeats on Cartoon Network are doing well.
From the look of things, it it doing REALLY WELL over here in comparison to the other children shows on the channel! FYI - Omens was shown in two 30min parts
