From listening to the recording over (and over…and over LOL) again, you did a fantastic job, just as Neil did in the first episode.
I need to edit some of my parts where I froze and didn’t know what to say (like the beginning)…the custom music won’t be ready for this episode though…but I’m hoping it will be ready for episode 3.
I wasn’t sure…am I suppose to edit out the Alex Bickmore stuff? ![]()
Chris here…
I’d welcome Neil & MannyC’s comments, but for myself I would say a resounding “Heck, yes!!!” LOL!! ![]()
Take care… ![]()
Mmmm I’d say yes. However Can i suggest to save things that are eidited out just so we can Podcast with things that were left on the cutting room floor. A special podcast may i say
It needs deleting. I don’t really know Alex well enough to support a proper opinion of the guy. On the podcast I was caught on the spot and I think I just went “hmmmm” when someone asked me to comment on him.
I also don’t want to give him any mention since he declined to work with the site a bit back. Just leave it as nobody being sure who else but Celesta and Wil Wheaton were on the docs.
Well, I’m going to edit the part where you and MannyC converse about it and also Chris speaking about the cutting room floor…but I think it would be a nice gesture to mention the two other people on the feature. After all, they were chosen and I’m sure if one of us were chosen to be a part of the DVD, I’m sure we’d want others to remember our names. ![]()
Chris here…
FWIW, I agree with this judgement call 100%, that’s exactly how I would’ve called it! ![]()
Take care… ![]()
I’m cool with that. So long as any negative comments are removed I’m ok with it ![]()
I know I promised Friday, but I had to edit out the Alex Bickmore stuff…
Download (right click, save as) and listen to it guys and see if it sounds okay on your end. It sounds 1000X better than the first episode so we (you guys) are definitely improving. I only notice echoes on a few occasions where Chris speak and rarely on anyone else…the only major problem I can hear is that there is quite a bit of stactic throughout the podcast…but sounds pretty good if you ask me.
Hey Kyle could you check out the iTunes subscription…I tried to subscribe to it, but I couldn’t download the first episode. If I stream it via iTunes, it works perfectly though, so I’m not entirely sure if it’s just on my end or if it is everyone. If you’re having trouble with it, I could give it a try and make a new RSS feed, though I know very little about it (the software I use to edit automatically generates a RSS feed that is compatible with iTunes).
If you’re able to add shownotes (AKA episode descriptions), just copy this:
Episode 2 Shownotes: Manny, Manny, Neil, Kyle, and Chris discuss about news of a possible CGI movie, more concept art, and the first DVD boxset Season 1 Volume 1.
If not, it’s cool. ![]()
Chris here…
Brilliant, first-class job, Manny - I love it, and I’m genuinely amazed at how much better I sound this time! Whilst I still hate the sound of my own voice, nonetheless I think I sound a lot more relaxed this time for some reason, which has got to be a plus! ![]()
My one (very minor) gripe would be - I can’t believe you cut the part where I said my favourite colour is pink!
I was actually looking forward to all ThunderCast listeners learning that my favourite colour is pink so that I get lots of pink-themed e-mails!
Joking aside, I personally would’ve left that in, but I can deal! ![]()
FWIW, my vote would be, let’s get this baby live and online! ![]()
Take care… ![]()
Excellent work Manny! I’ll try and have a listen to it sometime this afternoon ![]()
I agree that it will be great to get another episode up asap. However I think it would be more advisable to get any kinks and problems with itunes and any other hassles we had with the downloading of episode 1 worked out first. We don’t want to put anyone off downloading it with yet more problems accessing the podcast!
Chris here…
Yeah, that’s true - I agree, best to sort those areas out first! ![]()
Take care… ![]()
Podcast sounds sooo much better but it sounds as if my nose is stuffed. Overall everybody did superb
Hmm…I didn’t know I cut it out!?! I might have accidentally removed it with the conversation of Alex Bickmore…was it during that part of the podcast Chris? I could have sworn it’s in there…with the donkey talk… ![]()
Chris here…
Excuse me, you’re right and I’m wrong, Manny - my apologies! The reference is in there, however there is a “skip” that makes it sound like there’s been an edit, it sounds like the word “or” is missing - it occurs at 25:52 if that helps! ![]()
Take care… ![]()
Guys I hate to be a pain, but I’ve finally had chance to sit down and listen to the podcast. A part that has me worried is around 17:20 into it when I talk about emailing Warner Bros.
Kyle comments that the email I sent will to quote “the email has been archived and will never be accessed again”
I’m worried about this comment as Warner Bros Home Video have been really nice over the past 6 months being really good replying to my emails. After the podcast recording, I did get a reply to that email I sent.
The reason I’m worried is I don’t think it’s fair to give the impression that Warner Bros ignore consumer emails (whether it’s true or not)
I’ve also built up a good rapport with them (we got the scoop on S1V2 release before anyone else!) and if by chance they hear the podcast, it might not do us any favours!
If it’s not too late, is there any chance you could do some last minute editing Manny? I believe the edit could start at 17:21 after I say “I did email Warner Bros and they said they would get back to me” and the episode begins again from 18:01 where Chris says “and we will of course report all of this news at Thundercatslair.org”
I apologise to everyone involved in placing the podcast online these past few days, but I feel this could potentially ruin a good thing we have going with Warner that could eventually lead to news concerning the rumoured movie as well.
Again I’m sorry as I should have listened to the podcast a lot sooner! ![]()
EDIT: Another comment was made at around 27:45 about Warner Bros being cheap with the Thundercats packaging. Chris actually did say that it was for the cutting room floor on the podcast.
I see where you’re coming from Neil, but at the same time, the first point was a joke…it wasn’t meant to be serious…at least that’s how I took it. The second point…it’s an opinion. I mean, we pretty much criticize WB on the forums all the time…I don’t see why we can’t do it on the podcast?!
That’s just my two cents…but I mean, I don’t think we need to be so restrictive when it comes to our opinion. :?
Perhaps the 2nd instance isn’t all that bad as it is opinions I guess like you say.
However I still don’t like the comments about Warners communication being there, but then if you think it’s ok, then we’ll leave it then.
