That is very true, but Liono hasn’t FULLY matured yet, he WILL, in time, but not yet. And I think there will still be a part of him that is still instinctively drawn to that way of thinking.
If you imagine Lionos maturity scale like a military ranking, with Sergeant being fully matured, Pumyra is still a raw recruit whilst Liono is a more experienced Corporal, who still has some way to go.
Sorry for the bad euphemism, but I think you might get my point.

But at least they gave her a chance to shine in “Mumm-Rana’s Belt”. Which is more than what they did for her during the rest of the series.
The Pumyra in the 2011 series is sure NOT to be in the background.
True, its been confirmed she will have several episodes focused on her.
Actually, I kind of like it. 
Plus she doesn’t strike me as the type to allow herself forced into the background. It would feel really weird and stilted, especially after her forceful and dynamic introduction.
I’m glad this character is getting such a positive reaction 
Let’s hope she doesn’t just fade into the background. Like some of you here, I think we will learn more about her this Saturday. Maybe we’ll get some flashbacks of the Fall of Thundera from a civilians perspective.
I’ve heard some felt like Pumyra was a leader to the late addition Thundercats in the original. I have a very limited experience with the OS myself, but do any of you agree?
I would say Lynxo was the leader of the three.
I don’t, to me Lynx-O was very much the leader for the trio. Even among the original Thundercats his presence had extra weight thanks to his age, wisdom, and experience. He was a lot like Jaga, except he didn’t have the disadvantage of being dead. He was kind of like everyone’s dad.

Lynxo was definately the unnoficial leader in that group. Probably due to his age and experience. For just one example, in thundercats HO! When they are captured by the berserkers and being handed over by the mutants, Bengali and Pumyra both look to Lynxo for the cue to try and escape.
