Just running an idea past everyone about a team meeting sometime soon. I personally don’t have that much on my mind, but I think it would be a good occasion to come together as a group.
Below are a couple of areas I think we could address..

[li]First of all I would say we could make sure all of our roles, responsibilities etc.. are all correct. I feel there may be a few areas that need looking at and changing since Angie’s departure.

[li]Secondly I think it would be nice to possibly create an idea pool that we all contribute to with regards to how we see TCL growing in 2008. Possibly look at how we could prepare for any future Thundercats material (such as the upcoming movie) and who would be interested in what..

[li]Lastly anybody with any issues or concerns an opportunity to voice themselves to the team etc..

I know this is a busy time of year, I myself working in a retail environment am funny aware of this (seriously Christmas began in July in retail.. lol) Hopefully we can schedule something before Christmas and New Year. If not, as soon as possible afterwards.
So.. who is interested, when do we think would be best etc..

This side of December 21st I’m completely run off my feet, I’m averaging one night in per week - but, if you like to shoot some potential dates I can let you know whether or not I’m around!
Like yourself, Kyle, I think it would be good to have a chat about the plans for this site in 2008, etc., so I say “Bring it on!”

Yeah, things have gotten super hectic on my part recently and I don’t think it’s going to slow down until the holidays are over.
I’m not sure when you guys want to do a meeting, but I have January 17 and 18 open which are Thursday and Friday. Those would be the only days during the week I will be available during the afternoon.
Saturday and Sundays are usually good for me, but I would need advanced notice.
I am still determined to do some sort of podcast before the end of the year to promote the petition…
I would also appreciate it if EVERYONE could participate in the meeting.
I think the best thing for us is to have a great Christmas and New Year and re-commence afterwards with a meeting. As people know their availability, please post in here so we can arrange a date.
At the moment, dates-wise, I’m pretty flexible as long as I can get it booked in enough in advance - the only thing I’d say is that you will never get me on a Wednesday from 9th January onwards, as this is when my club reopens for the year. I also know for 99% certain that I’m not about on Sunday 6th January, with a question mark over Friday 4th January as well - other than that, at this early stage I should be able to fit in round most arrangements!
If you still want me to join you, Manny, LMK when and if I’m around I’ll be there! The podcast project is something I actually want to discuss at the meeting, as this is something that had built up a good head of steam but which (with no offence meant towards anyone) has completely stalled. I’d like to make some concrete plans to get it back up-and-running, as I’ve always felt it was something that put TCL right at the forefront of the TCats online community!
Yeah, I really think we need to try as hard as we can to find a day and time everyone can do, I agree with you that I think it’s important.
Hey gang, even though I’m kind-of early with this as I appreciate that everyone here will want to get their New Year celebrations out of the way before thinking about this, I just thought I’d bump this thread back up and see if any more concrete plans could be laid down about a TCL Team Meeting?
By my calculations, MannyC gets back on Saturday 5th January - these are all dates that I’m currently free from that time onwards:
Monday 7th January
Tuesday 8th January
Thursday 10th January
Friday 11th January
Saturday 12th January
Sunday 13th January
Although, as is commonplace with my diary, these are likely to change, at the present time I’m 99.9% sure I can make any of those dates!
Won’t be able to make any of those dates I’m afraid. I really want to be at the meeting, but if you guys want to do it on one of those days, I’d appreciate a transcript of the meeting so I’m on base with what you guys talk about.
EDIT: There might be a very tiny chance I can try the 11th, but with me being out of town, I’m not entirely sure when I’ll be in front of a computer with internet access.
Hey Manny, if you needed it to be a later date (say, a week or so later), I wouldn’t have a problem with that - I’d need to consult my 2008 diary, but am sure a couple of dates could be found!
I think it’s important to try and arrange a Team Meeting when as many of the team as possible will be able to be present - unfortunately for a lot of people Fridays and Saturdays seem to be a good date, which it would seem are no good for Neil!
My suggestion FWIW would be that we all post up what dates in January we would have available for a Team Meeting (and yep, I do mean all of them, LOL!), and see which ones the majority of the team can do. I really think a Team Meeting would be good and help the site move forward, so, let’s hope we can make it happen - plus, it’s ages since I spoke properly to some of you guys, so it would be a way of catching up at the same time!

Anyway to the point. I’ll try my best to be there. I just started a new job and the hours are sort of not permanent as of yet so I only know my schedule 2 weeks at a time (which sucks). I should be able to do something on a sat or sunday after about 530 est on sat and 430 est on a sun
ok guys what is the deal with the meeting plans?.. Admittedly I have been too busy to collate everybodys availability, but once again it seems to have stalled. I have decided to propose a day and time (UK) and hopefully it will once again kick the ball rolling again..

If it was a good date for everyone else I could probably make Thursday 17th work - I’m having a rehearsal with someone but in the late afternoon, so we’d probably be packed up by the evening, and certainly by 11:00pm.
And, Saturday 19th would also work very well for me at the present time, in fact of the two days it would be the better of the two - but, as it stands I should be able to make either of them work!
I agree with you, Kyle, I think a team meeting grows more and more essential - there are so many things up in the air, from fund raising ventures to the podcast to content for the site to team roles, to be honest I’m not sure that one meeting would be enough - but, it would at least be a start!
