I’m hopeful we’ll hear or see something at Toyfair. 
Someone has secured the license but no one has dropped who got it. SOTA reported that they were bidding on it but did not get it. I have also read that there is a time stipulation on the release of pictures.
Yeah, I saw that too and was just about to put up a link to that when I saw your post.
Is that a tease item? Do they know something they can’t yet reveal? Or is it a mistake?

I take this as a no since no one replied. It’s cool since I would be hitting up a favor from my brother-in-law who works at WB to get in touch with someone in the PR dept. Probably more of a hassle anyways. I just thought if this site could pull that kind of news first it would put it on the map.

What is SOTA? I’m semi knowledgeable when it comes to toy companies through working at The Entertainer, but I don’t recall selling any toys made by this company.
What do they make and do they sell international? :?

Ten bucks says the Four Horsemen got the license all those months ago…
It could be possible but they have said they could not afford what WB was asking for the license. The kind of money that the license costs kind of put studios like the 4H and small toy companies out of the running. I also think it would go to a company that is not just a design studio. I would like to see the 4H take on Thundercats though!
Could they have got the license via Mattel? 4H design the toys and Mattel release them? (just like with MOTU?)

They may have got the contract to design the toys for Mattel. It is totally different then getting the license to create, manufacture, and distribute. The 4H have the statue/bust license for MOTU but it is a whole different ballpark then getting a license for Thundercats. If they are involved it would most likely be on the design part only like they do with Batman/DC Heroes, Marvel Legends, etc…

What they did to He-Man was ok,cause He-Man was suppose to have sort of technology/magic mix in their armor for a gimmick. Thundercats is simple,wich is why it works. Simple costumes,cool weapons.
I dont need Lion-o switching costumes for a new villan,I dont need Hyper Details on Panthros boots. LJN did it right.

The 4H did an amazing job on Masters of the Universe. For the most part, all they did was redesign the characters – the action features were almost exactly the same as before.
Variants came from Mattel, not the 4H.
The only way the 4H would be redesigning the new toyline is if Mattel got the license. And while I would be overjoyed by having 4H designs, I would be upset with Mattel’s variant policy.
Also, the original MOTU and ThunderCats toyline had a lot of things in common, including simplicity. The problem with that is, it’s no longer the 1980s and what sells now is how close the action figure can get to the original design with details.
