Did anyone else go “wiskers” when Snarf meow-blocked Lion-o, when he was having that moment with Cheetra.

In all honesty, I think there’s nothing really to criticize about this episode. The animation is gorgeous. Really top notch.
It was good to see Tygra being more vocal again. It almost makes it seem to me as though he was quiet in the last episode because he might’ve secretly wanted to agree with Lion-O and go after Mumm-Ra. But seriously both Tygra and especially Cheetara need more screen time! The series is called Thundercats not Lion-O.
Okay so it did end lol
Here’s my 2 cents
Positives:
-Slithe being the tough general
-Nice set of stealth lizards all looking different
-Panthro + tank showing up
-Good story
Negatives:
-Tygra being a ***** while Lion’o was the ***** the former episode, seen enough of it already
-Still no character development
-Again a rushed feeling with the episode
Conclusion:
It was okay but I liked episode 3 a bit more (I wasn’t that familiar with Moby dick)
I still haven’t got the feeling the show has started as it’s not really progressing. Episode 4 shoud have been shown after the pilot episodes. Just would have felt better with Slithe on their trail.

I can’t help but wonder how long the Petalars were actually in the Briarwood. It’d be interesting if they were only there for a week. I hope we see them again later in the series and they have been passing down the story of Emerich and Lion-O from generation to generation.
Let’s hope the wind doesn’t carry them to Mumm-Ra’s pyramid.
I think I’m the only one who actually likes Tygra with the gun. :tygra: But I want to see his whip again, too. I think he should keep using both!
But wow, this episode was great. I admit I teared up during Emeric’s death scene, even though I knew it was inevitable. It was very touching, and I loved watching the scene where the Petalars were leaving on the wind.
Also… Panthro is awesome. 'nuff said. :panthro:
Well I think it’s official-
Tygra has now hit the anger/moody stage of grief. And I knew big brother taking orders from little brother wasn’t going to last long.
I think Lion-o had the best line of the night with “Teenagers”. It made me laugh thinking of Claudis. 
And they are SO foreshadowing Jaga’s a goner when they find the book.
And was it me or did Tygra just kept vanishing in this episode? He’s be standing there one moment and suddenly he wasn’t there. More foreshadowing?
I am starting to appreicate why Claudis was such the uncompromising BAMF he was. He kept these guys at bay for YEARS and these are some pretty blood thristy competent bad guys even without the tech.
And did anyone catch whether or not Lion-O actually did take that lizards head clean off?
Man, Tygra should be nursing some major sore or possibly broken ribs with the hit he took.
Well this episode was really sad like I expected, especially when Emerich died in Lion-o’s hands, I almost cried with that scene.
And then Panthro comes and everything becomes more awesome 
I can’t wait for the next episode.
This episode was much better that the last one in my opinion, and Lion-o learning his “lesson of the week” didn’t feel so rushed, I just hope he won’t be the only one to lear lessons.

I also liked the touch of Wilykat teasing his sister at the beginning.
Seeing since the Petalars age so quickly, this has me wondering the same thing. This is arguably one of the best episodes I’ve ever seen so far. The storytelling was just so great, the animation was gorgeous, and the bit of nostalgia with the ThunderCat signal was purely awesome.
Did any of you catch how Cheetara fought the lizards?? It’s very reminiscent to how Cheetara was introduced in the OS’s opening sequence.
This episode was so much better from last week. And it was heartbreaking as well when you see the Petalars die off so quickly. It was a great episode…it had sad moments, but it also had comical and happy moments too.
Unfortunately the episode went so quickly. After the part with Panthro, it goes to commercial with the credits showing on the side and my son ran out of the room to get something (a toy bug to scare me ROFL) and when he returned, he was upset that the show was over already. I do believe that children, like mine, are used to watching the same cartoons everyday so seeing Thundercats only one day a week is going to take some time getting used to for them.
LOL, my son loved the Thundertank and loved how …as he put it “WOW! It blows everything up!” I enjoy watching this with my kids because I enjoy seeing their reactions and hearing their opinions. It’s a welcoming sight than always hearing what the ThunderDads and ThunderMoms have to say. We are always going to compare the old Thundercats to the new series. Now my children have seen the old Thundercats, but right now, my kids love the new series more than the original.
Totally agree that was what I was looking for after the premiere, this episode was just wonderfully done and even addressing mature themes directly (not to mention being able to say the word die/death in several different contexts). The animation and the lighting too was stunning.
In addition to the rocking awesome of the Thunderthank, the full-fledged return of the signal lighting up the sky for the first time was sooo freaking great! Back-to-back moments of greatness after the heartfelt developments in majority of the episode.
Yeah the way they developed the themes, mood, and tension throughout was fantastic very much inline with the pilot. Agreed on Slythe.
I think Tygra needs to get a new whip first before he can use it in addition to the gun, hopefully through Panthro. I hope he uses both as I like him with both weapons now.
Like Pfisiar I thought it was funny and with how great they’ve been I don’t see how one comedy bit not working for you would do much when they’ve had many others though I miss WilyKit being the one to do something like that so I hope she gets to “get even” too. 
@Balam: I agree that’s the one thing so far after the premiere gave everyone some good stuff, hopefully it won’t be long until all of the others start getting worked in more regularly now that Lion-O’s been put through the wringer a bit, the others need to face some of their issues simultaneously too. Though this episode certainly had more of that than ep3, with the Cheetara moment with Lion-O and Tygra getting some more screentime slowly leaking out his grief/frustations and the kittens getting another good dose of excellent screentime.
Know what you mean, they’ve certainly nailed the “can’t wait to see what happens next” endings in every episode so far!
I was not impressed with this episode. Meh.

I did not like Lion-O’s sudden suicide mission. And I did not like Tygra egging him on that what they were doing was retreating. They weren’t retreating, they were on a mission and were undermatched for a battle with the lizards who destroyed their kingdom and murdered Claudus.

I liked that Snarf interuppted that moment between Lion-O and Cheetara. I like Cheetara with Tygra if anything. That was a funny moment.

I did think the episode passed too quickly. The comment that we would need tissue? Nah, not enough time to grow that attached to the characters. But Emerich’s death was very beautifully done.
Very sweet ep, had a bit of everything. I teared up with that final scene with Emerick!
Regarding the series over all, it’s got enough from the classic version to be familiar, and then they added some mature themes and continuity. Great stuff so far!
And for what it’s worth, hubby and my son have been watching with me every week. They seem to like it too
I too was glad for Tygra being more vocal. I enjoy watching him and Lion-O argue more than Tygra just standing quietly by.
if Panthro was supposedly one of Thundera’s greatest generals and a close personal friend of Claudus, why did there seem to be such a disconnect between Panthro and Lion-o/Tygra?
i understand the fact that Panthro was in shadow at first, but after Lion-o asked who he was, Panthro was clearly visible and obviously could see Lion-o and Tygra, so why the distant “I’m Pantro” as if this were the first time they met?
If you look at his position, I think that line makes sense. Arrogant older brother suddenly has to take orders from his punk little brother? I can see someone his age getting frustrated with that.
