Well then i misunderstood you. As far as i’ve seen (most of the time not always) i just see a lot of negative stuff coming from you REGARDING the NS. It dont help the show at all. If you think it’s crap but you don’t want it to be then come with something other than negativity for a chance?

I agree with the point blueyedkitty brought up about beast machines. I absolutely hated that show the first ten episodes. But by the end of it, I could not STOP watching it. It was completely unreal how they took that story and made something awesome with it. Now, this was 11 years ago, so things might have changed, but I recall the entire last season not even airing in the US, and we had to watch them online on some canadian guy’s site. The last season was incredible. Sometimes a story needs to be re-written, changed, or modified in someway. I like the new changes, albiet there could more focus on the identity of the “thundercat”, but it really is a giant leap into a new Thundercats universe.
That is something I would like to be defined in the ns. To me it was the royal family and their closest advisors, top generals and what have you. Or is it all the nobles from each clan or house. I’m sure this will be touched upon in the show.
I’m in my 30’s and I like the 6 inch line for the most part. But I do agree with you regarding the 4 inch line. When I saw how they looked in the store, I was not at all interested.
Not to derail the thread, but there was another season? I’ve never watched it online, but I remember them defeating Megatron and reformatting the planet. Was there more after that?
The Emperor’s new clothes, neh. And I have made suggestions as to what should be better in the hope that it gets better, such as pacing, going more deeply into character,and so forth.

All I’m currently seeing is pretty much a division between the “Toonami Kids” and the “80’s kids”.
The show is just starting. Nothing will feel completley solid until we have a larger amount of episodes. Seriously, when you watched Airbender’s first season, and then got to watch the third it pretty much because a whole new, more complete world by then. Same will happen to Thundercats. Same happens to every franchise and/or story that’s supposed to be an ever growing universe.
This is why I don’t bother with picking apart every episode, looking at all the little details and what not. I’m not going to gain much from that, yet. Let it grow and then over analyze and criticize all you want.
Compare to most reboots, this one is decent at the least.
I haven’t even SEEN Then here yet. from what i udnerstand, Toys R Us is the only place selling them currently (not counting online) and our nearest toys r us is an hour away. I don’t like to base my judgement of a toyline just on pictures i’ve seen on the internet - i prefer to see them in real life first. However, I am so used to figures that are at LEAST 6 inches (which most of mine are between 6 and 8 inches), I doubt i’ll be abig buyer of hte 4 inch ones (UNLESS they release Bengali! Then i’d HAVE to buy one!)
Most reboots are better than their 80’s counterparts.
Wal-mart and K-mart have them as well.
I sincerely hope, Cheez, that my comments weren’t among those that bothered you. They weren’t meant to. I’m not interested in disparaging or starting any arguments with anyone. My sense of humor tends to lean a bit towards the sardonic, and I could see how it might be misinterpreted, so I try to choose my words carefully. So if any of my remarks came across as insulting, I’m very sorry. 
If anything, it seems like you and I are pretty much on the same page with this. And I’m very happy about that. We seem to be able to obejctively look at both sides of the issue. I’m guessing it’s maybe a Libra thing? 
I have not reached the point of utter disgust. As I’ve said, the only thing I don’t like is the lack of development of the other ThunderCats and giving them episodes that focus on them so that we learn more about them, they all feel so flat to me, with the exception of Panthro who we were allowed a back story. I guess because someone on the show always liked Panthro the best. I just wish they were more fair with the other Cats as well. So I’m hopeful to see them give us more concerning the others.
Doesn’t matter to me one bit what other people think - whether they love it or hate it. I totally agree that in our sharing of what we think, we remain respectful to the opinions of others. We can agree to disagree, every person has their own uniquie, individual tastes and what they want to see and what they don’t want to see.

I agree with you about the long story arcs being better and aimed at the more mature fan.
As far as “What a Thundercat is” from what I have seen in the OS and the Thundercats comic books they have what is basically a caste society with Thundercats being the elite, average Thunderians being below them in stature.

OK the OS was great and very cool back in its day, but this is a new day and if you don’t like the NS like Cheez says don’t watch it.
I am a fan of both the new and the old and I like the new a lot better. The OS when watched now in my 30’s just seems too cheesy at times. the NS seems to me like it was designed to appeal more to older fans.
I personally can’t wait to see how they introduce the rest of the Thundercats from the OS like Bengali and Pumyra. We already caught a glimpse of Lynx-O in Eps 1-2 but I want more than a quick glimpse.

and yes… there are some who are mad that the NS doesn’t have as much info in it by ep 7 that the os had by EP 130, but that has to do with their version of reality, not their age.

I compared the first 7 of OS vs NS and do not the comments about NS

I am very confused about people mentioning that we the show is mostly set on Loin-O, the focus on the other Thundercats is not enough or the backstories aren’t devoloped.
These comments are made after 7 episodes.
Since I was drawn into Thundercats by this new series again and only watched the episodes as a kid I looked up the plots of the first 7 episodes of the original series and I am VERY confused. In my opinion there was even more focus on Loin-O and less backstories developed. The new series aslo gives us more history to put every thing is context. We know after 7 episodes the background of Panthro, Grune, Mumm-Ra, the thundercats history, andso on.
There are also A LOT of similarities.
-Pilot shows the destruction of the (planet vs kingdom) Thundera.
-Lion-O needs to learn how the swords works.
-The thundertank gets introduced.
-The Thundercats save a good species (Petalers or Berbils).
-Fish pirates vs Berserkers.
Am I overlooking something here?
Below are the first 7 episodes of the OS:
Exodus
The Pilot Episode. The Thundercats, Jaga, Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, Lion-O, Snarf, and Wiley Kit and Wiley Kat, watch from a spaceship as their home planet, Thundera, blows up. The set a course for a distant planet, but on the way they are attacked by the Mutants from the planet Plun-darr. The damaged ship is now unable to make it to that planet, so while the other Thundercats sleep in Time-Suspension capsules, Jaga pilots the ship manually to Third Earth. Jaga manages to get them there, but he dies just before reaching the planet. Lion-O, the new lord of the Thundercats, goes from boyhood to manhood during the trip.
The Unholy Alliance
The mutants, who followed the Thundercats to Third Earth, meet Mumm-Ra, a being of immense evil. Mumm-Ra sinks the Mutants’ space ship, in fear they might use it to call the other mutants and then destroy his pyramid with it. The Mutants, who are now stranded, team up with Mumm-Ra to try and get the Eye of Thundera from the Thundercats. The Mutants try first, but Lion-O holds them off. Then Mumm-Ra tries, but while he is battling Lion-O, he sees his reflection in Lion-O’s claw shield, and Mumm-Ra is so horrified by the reflection, he has to fly away and thus is defeated.
Berbils
Mumm-Ra tries to destroy the other Thundercats with a rock storm while Lion-O and Snarf are out searching the woods. But the Thundercats hide in the new Thundertank that Panthro has built. Meanwhile, Lion-O and Snarf get captured by the Ro-Bear Berbils, who turn out to be friendly. Lion-O helps defend the Berbil village from an attack by the Trologs, who are trying to get the Berbils’ food. Then Lion-O defends the village again from Mumm-Ra, who had turned into a huge insect. The Berbils, in return, decide to help the Thundercats build their new Lair. In this ep, Jaga also teaches Lion-O how to call the Sword of Omens to come to his hand when needed.
The Slaves of Castle Plunn-Darr
Wiley Kit and Kat discover that the Mutants have enslaved a peaceful group of creatures called Brute Men to build the Mutants’ new home, Castle Plun-darr. They tell the other Thundercats at the new Cats Lair, and they go over to Castle Plun-darr in the Thundertank to free the Brute Men. Slithe throws some warp gas at the Brute Men, which causes them to become angry and menacing. But just as they are about to get Lion-O, the warp gas wears off, and the Brute Men are free.
Trouble with Time
The Thundercats go in search of Thundrillium, the fuel that runs the Thundertank and Cats Lair. While out searching near the forest, Tygra finds a big amout of Thundrillium in a cave. The cave though, speeds up time, and while Tygra is in it, he begins to become very old. Luckily Cheetara saves him by running into the cave, grabbing him, and then running out of the cave with her super speed. Since Tygra is still very old, the Thundercats ask Willa, a new friend they had made earlier, what to do. She tells them to take Tygra to the mystical Fountain of Youth, which they do. It magically restores his youth, just as he was about to die.
Pumm-Ra
During her morning run, Cheetara is kidnapped by the Mutants and sent to Mumm-ra’s pyramid. Mumm-Ra then transforms himself into Pumm-Ra, the puma of Thundera. Cheetara awakens to find Pumm-Ra and thinks he saved her from the Mutants. She invites the stranger back to Cats Lair and he is given a trial run to see if he can be trusted. Later that night, Pumm-Ra sabotages the Lairand the Thundertank, and steals the Eye of Thundera. While most of the Thundercats are away, Lion-O and Snarf discover what Pumm-Ra has done and that he is an imposter. Pumm-Ra tries to use the sword against Lion-O but the sword won’t work for him. The Mutants attack but Lion-O and the others defeat them. Then they face Pumm-Ra in the lair, but only to find out it was Mumm-Ra all along.
The Terror of Hammerhand
A group of pirates called the Berserkers, led by Hammerhand, come ashore and try to capture a unicorn. Snarf saves the unicorn, but gets captured himself. Lion-O meanwhile saves another unicorn trapped by a living tree. The unicorn gives him a ring in return. Then Hammerhand shows up with Snarf, and Lion-O fights him, but Hammerhand gets away with Snarf and a baby unicorn. Lion-O goes after them and tries to swim out to the Berserkers’ pirate ship. He almost drowns, but is saved by the unicorn’s ring. Lion-O calls on the other TCats, and Panthro and Cheetara show up in the Thundertank, which becomes a Thundersub. They rescue Lion-O, Snarf, and the unicorn and sink the pirate ship, and then return the unicorn to its mother.
