Huge tygra fan with cheetara in close second but dont get it wrong liono that guy pulls at my heartstrings too with his compassion. Ive just always preferred tygra always will but liono fans neednt fear I dont bite.
I probably should specify, I didn’t actually think the kittens were related to anyone, I figured that much out watching the show. I thought the kittens were also lions because Kit’s hair resembled Lion-O’s, Kat was her brother, and their skin was the same color as Lion-O’s. 
We have yet to see an episode of just Lion-o and twins exploring and getting into trouble like in the original series.
I very much wish to see episodes that focus on the other characters more particularly the Twins.
I would also like to see Mummra use more magic and actually cast spells.
Also I think Mummra needs background of is own.
I thought this thread was about the concept of shipping, not the characters themselves.

Shipping. A likeing for specific characters to have romantic interests for each other. For whatever reason, the biggest fandom movements come to be in fandoms for stories in which romance plays no importance to the overall outcomes.
Which is the biggest thing that boggles me. Pokemon, The Last Airbender, iCarly and Harry Potter are all prime examples. I’m daily exposed to shipping through Pokemon. And after a decade of being involved in that fandom, it’s still beyond me why shipping is so prominent amongst the fans.
Hey, I’m all for shippings. The basic idea is for the characters to have romantic interests. So in turn, that opens the doors for development and character growth. But that’s the very concept alot of people neglect when likeing a pairing. They just like them because “they look so cute together” or something else shallow along those lines. What makes the thought of pairings fun is looking into things. Why does this benefit the people involve? How can they grow from it? Does it bring risks? Ect.
And sadly all that is usually neglected in favor of shallow, pointles and cliche drama.
Though I’m happy to say I really haven’t come across this in the ThunderCats fandom.
Yet when I read their stories and realize how shallow their portrayal of the characters are, I think otherwise. They come of as desperate, impossible to get laid, loney, sad women.
A good chunk of all shipping fics are basically mental dating.
I am thinking you’re an ESTJ, heavy on the J. I think most fic writes are heavy into the INF category, so things like shipping will always remain a great mystery to some personality types. Just a thought.

You’re somewhat right. I do believe I have some ESTJ tendencies. But I always try to understand the reasoning people have for their likeings.
Shipping is infinite, one cannot deny that. That’s part of what makes it fun. But alot of this writers disregard canon, logic, realistic emotions and priorities when attempting to write a romantic story. The end result is usually a pathetic excuse to write drama and cliche scenerios.
There’s more to likeing a pairing than “they’re so cute together”. =/

I disregarded canon in my work, but with reasons not associated with cute pairings. Anyway, it’s all mythology

You probly aim to bring out good characterization and situations. Which I always applaud. That’s what’s fun of mythology in general, it’s got such a wide variety of concepts for good story telling.
But all this “shippers” throw all that away. <.<
As silly as the shipping thing is, I think some of you are overthinking why it happens. Think of it as Fantasy Football for chicks.

When I took that test in high school, I was ranked an INTJ. I’m not sure what kind of writer that makes me although I think I sometimes over analyze things.
I know this fic you speak of! Its pretty cute! As far as an which personality range I remember that test in high school, mine was never really conclusive

Buddy, check the 2011 rec thread. Plenty of good fanfics that also manage to keep the characters close to cannon.
Some of my favorite writers are women with husbands and few kids. A couple of them are published authors as well or editors .
LOL. I’m sorry Ruthie, but I think we have different ideas of the point behind Fantasy Football. It was my impression that those who DO play, do so in order to compete, in their own small way, within that game of skill/chance. (and MOST use it to gamble as well). This can in no way be compared to Shipping, which even if put into a competitive context, is no real competition. The results are predetermined. (by the writers)

I’ve seen TONS of great fanfiction that are in complete character so I don’t think it’s all that fair to generalize anyone who writes them, there’s a lot of really talented people out there writing TC fanfic and for those that aren’t that great who cares? I’m sure the author had fun doing it and besides that when I started writing fanfics mine weren’t all that great either, I’m just grateful people were constructive and just offered encouragement on how to be better.
