There’s a new petition on Change.org that wants to keep the 2011 series alive and well. 69 signatures are required, so if you wanna join in, feel free:
Signed. Cant say I am expecting much to come of it, but I will hope anyway…
singed I sure do hope it helps me and my kids love the old and the new
Please tell every other “ThunderCats” fan about the petition. ![]()
Signed and it is now 58 votes.
I couldn’t agree more. It is truly awesome to hear my daughter ask to watch Thundercats!
We gotta keep on promoting it!
Really?
ANOTHER one!?
Isn’t it obvious by now that this is a total waste of time…?
I would love for the show to continue, as I’m sure we ALL would…but these petitions are not having any effect whatsoever, and are a complete waste of time and energy. ![]()
I signed it again, but I have the same outlook on it as Fennris. I really, REALLY want the show back, but these petitions are not what will get it back. If anything, buying merchandise will, but the best bet we have is its popularity on Toonami, which seems to be pretty good. However, I’m not expecting the show to continue as of now and if it does, that’d be incredibly awesome. I’ve learned that expecting the worst in this situation turns out to be the best because you’re either right or pleasantly surprised. Either way, I’m glad whoever made this still supports the show and I certainly still do.
I shall not be signing.
This is a complete waste of time. They want money, not signatures. They put out a badly done cartoon to sell a terrible toyline. Kids didn’t take onto the show, kids didn’t want the toys, which meant no money for Warner Bros and Bandai, so the show got canceled.
I just hope we get a reboot handled by a better creative team of writers and designers and a decent toy company making quality toys to support it.
Exactly right.
I wont be signing either. The last one did not help at all and i doubt this one would get the same amount of signers this time.
As I said signatures are not the issue, even if 1 million more signatures were got, unless those people buy a lot of the toys it’s pointless.
I know in my heart that I’ll keep fighting for ThunderCats.
I signed the petition. Why? Because it’s better than doing nothing. ![]()
I view it like this: the first petition, which got 9,000+ signatures (I think) was shut down do to a) the show being officially cancelled, or b) the show got renewed and they don’t want us to know it. Either way, I don’t know if anything is going to change the minds of the powers that be. No matter how corrupt and ridiculous CN/WB/whoever’s actions and policies may be, we’ll have to just accept that as of now we have nothing new. That doesn’t mean you should just give up hope completely, but to put all faith into a measly petition is not a good idea.
signed more junk mail in coming.
I second that. I came to the conclusion that the show must reboot in a true to the original “recipe”.
As for the canceled one, I would love to see a comic series to continue the story.
Agreed Dr_SLUMP. The biggest problem the new cartoon had is that it lost everything the that made Thundercats, Thundercats. The sad fact is that its so anime-ised if it was edited a bit, it could honestly pass as another anime series. Unlike the TMNT 2003 and 2012 and the MOTU 2003 they embraced everything that made the original series’ so loved.
I am not starting an argument with anyone it’s just my opinion.
The petition is up to 68 signatures. I checked. Only one more to go. ![]()
