While it’s great to see Tygra and Cheetara get screentime together, why is it at the same time such a snore fest? Tygra seems to be trying too hard to impress Cheetara. And the look he gave to Lion-O after he told her to be careful seems to show some insecurity on Tygra’s part and possibly Pumyra’s when she questioned Lion-O on his interest for Cheetara.
Lion-O seems to have gotten over his crush on her, and probably wants to show Cheetara he is sorry about the way he acted by reforging their friendship through his actions.
But I think Tygra could tone down his bravado when he is alone with Cheetara and be more himself with her.
As for Lion-O and Pumyra, they really are each others foils, and it looks very convincing that the two will get together through time. They should take it slow, but seeing how the episodes are seemingly “rushed”, I wouldn’t be surprised too much if the season ends with Pumyra and Lion-O coming to terms with each others feelings together.
Also, I agree with Panthro’s remarks during the episode. Hilarious!
Agreed. Like I said, Tygra’s probably worried about losing Cheetara because he’s already lost so many people in his life.
Understandable but…
Has he even yet acknowledged Pumyra’s presence? Nope! So his worries with Lion-O “trying to steal” Cheetara away should be a non issue by now. Unless, the writer’s throw a curveball down the road… Anyway, Tygra should be more at ease with his brooding. Lion-O assured him he won’t leave his brother’s side, and he’s has Cheetara’s love.
That’s the thing though. Tygra comes off as very show boat-ish . Brings me back to the premier. The winking flamboyant ****y prince with the whip. It’s not just this episode and the premier. It’s been touched on through out the series as well.
I think he’s a bit full of himself , and so his roguish behavior is not surprising at all. Still cheesy, but not all that surprising.
I would actually like to see it played with more, but it would be nice to get a HUGE nod by the end of the season. It looks like they will have the classic UST relationship. Those are always fun to watch develop.
Plus Lion-O knows how low it would be to go after Cheetara now that she’s made her choice clear. Doing something that bad simply isn’t in his nature. Even when he was still angry about it the worst he did was make some pithy remarks, but never actively tried to undermine their relationship.
Tygra is his brother, plain and simple, and dudes who steal their brother’s girl burn in a very special part of hell usually reserved for child molesters and people who talk in the theater.
That’s part of the reason why I think Lion-O might not be as over it as I would hope. Tygra got upset, and Pumyra picked up on something. I think it “might” lean more towards Lion-O is not completely over it.
If it does go down the route of “Lion-O still not happy about Cheetara’s choice and going to try to win her” That’s gonna be a huge waste of time and greatly upsetting. Dude died, seemingly learned something valuable and should be more mature especially with the Cheetara issue.
I agree with you on how Pumyra picked up on something, but towards the end, he also showed some flirting to Pumyra.
Also, would be good if Pumyra stopped or chill out on actually hitting Lion-O, that could go against her between her and Lion-O.
And I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: The look on Lion-O’s face after he tells her to be careful isn’t “Yeah, smooth!” or self-congratulatory in any way. It was more like “Neat! Closure!” or “It felt good to say that,” at least until Pumyra started teasing him.
Totally agreed. He did look to have some relief. Until…!
Ah, Pumyra. Always bringing trouble to Lion-O yet still finds him attractive.
I don’t think he would try and “win” her…that would be low. He just needs a little more time to completely get over it. As long as he doesn’t act like a butt wipe about it, I don’t see a problem .
So far she only hits him when it " calls for it". Last episode she was in a death match with him, and this time she was trying to rip that dirty little rat to pieces for whipping someone. Seeing something like that was probably a huge trigger for her, and so I can see why she got so violent.
I find her violence to be justified, at least to an extent. Hopefully it’ll fade away (towards Lion-O at least. They need her violence if they want to defeat Mumm-Ra)
Agreed, he does need more time, maybe thats why he gave Pumyra the bewildered look? Maybe he’s not sure if Pumyra is just teasing him or really means to say something about her to him, and probably making him realize his lingering dilemma within.
And true, she is very passionate about her feelings, and that is a good thing. And she does seem very VERY upfront about them.
Her anger is justifiable but she really should calm down when it comes to hitting Lion-O when she blows up later on, she should realize he is not a punching bag.
And Mumm-Ra, I hate to say it, but the guy really is not a threat anymore…dude ran away from his last fight with Lion-O…even his minions, Kaynar most notably, give Lion-O more of a threat. Even Ratar-O managed to knock the sword off Lion-O’s hands! Which is upsetting, cause Mumm-Ra is cool, but he is really not being an actual threat more and more. Hopefully when he gets his sword, things change for the better. But if he is supposed to be the Main Villain he really needs to have their lives in danger on his own.
If he picks up on her advances, I think she will.
Unless she becomes the “Helga Pataki” for Lion-O.
