I agree. Thing is i dont have enough faith in these writers so that will probably happen. But if it’s true she never had feelings for him then we should have nothing to worry about.
Thanks! And I think its unfair that now some people hate Cheetara because of the Love Triangle aftermath. I admit, at the time when it was heavily debated before the outcome, I was a supporter of Cheetara and Lion-O. But that was due to what was shown, and since she was at that time the only woman (aside from Kit) that was around the same age as Lion-O, causing many to quickly go for this possibility.
However, if Pumyra was introduced to the group much earlier, situations in the story and arguments within the fan community would have been drastically different. And better late than never, Pumyra is already coming in. What will occur? Will she actually get along with the other cats? How will she interact with Lion-O after the Pit episode, and especially with Cheetara IF this is the next stage of the love triangle.
Maybe Cheetara still tries to offer comforting support to Lion-O and Pumyra does not like how Cheetara goes about it one bit? Maybe Tygra has some intentions with Pumyra? Or vice versa? And not trying to make Pumyra sound full of jealous paranoia with Cheetara, but perhaps Pumyra is better at reading peoples actions or intentions. Maybe she could see Cheetara actually start having a growing love for Lion-O.
Again, I could be wrong with all of this, but so far Pumyra looks like the type of person who is upfront with her feelings from the get go, Cheetara seems to dance around them and would only say something after some time.

Your right, it does ultimately boil down to the writers, and seeing how the show has several…It’s like okay they have the “gameplan” of the overall Thundercats story, but with all these writers, there are going to be inconsistencies, contradictions, and perhaps some bias that the writers have for certain characters.
Everyone keeps theorizing that Cheetara and Pumyra might fight or not get along. But what if they become like best friends? Cheetara has been in a group where the only other female is an 8 year old. I think she’d be more than happy to have Pumyra join.
Well look at Lion-O and Tygra, you would think being brothers would mean they would get along most of the time. And its just fairly recently they are coming to terms with each other and understanding and building on their relationship.
As with Cheetara and Pumyra, not really intending for the two to fight, but it remains to be seen how they would interact. It seems from their diffenent backgrounds and how they are may clash. Cheetara has been cool and level headed majority of the time, whereas all we barely know of Pumyra is she has a temper and may be more passionate about her feelings, whether it be positive or negative. And who doesn’t like a cat fight?

Her reason for admitting her feelings to Tygra were that she wanted to ease some of the tension between the brothers. Having her go back and forth between them is not a good look for her. People would only see her as a trouble maker/home wrecker. She didn’t have to get with Tygra at the end of BB. She could have just told them she didn’t want to be with either of them, but she decided her heart was with Tygra. Fine, now lets do something new and interesting with a character who SHOULD be getting a lot more development and story than what she currently is. She is THE Thundercats female, why reduce all of her development and screen time to some silly love plot?
IMO, that would just make the whole “love triangle” plot even more dumb. We went through all of that, just for everyone to change their minds? Glee comes on Tuesdays, not Saturday mornings;) Other than another hurtle for Lion-O to overcome to be reborn again, I don’t see what it did to make the characters more interesting than what they were before. Great TyChee is a thing, but I was hoping it would mean more development for the both of them. More interaction and bonds between members other than someone and Lion-O. More about making this group of characters seem like a family, rather than a bunch of card board cutouts that follow Lion-O around.
I hope at first they don’t get along then they can build up there friendship.
Your right, and there should be no reason why they would try to make Cheetara go back and forth between brothers, it would not speak well of her character. But that ultimately boils down to the writers, and how they want to handle the characters. And how some say it’s the “Lion-O show” in a sense, yes since he is obviously the main, but the others do need their own development and screen time just as much as he gets. But again, its the current writers doing, not Lion-O’s.
I’m with you on that, Pumyra is the new cat on the block and she may seem rough at first but may be her most valuable friend once they get to know each other especially with the other cats.
All the theories and speculation for a possible commotion between the team after Pumyra is introduced are quite intersting, though I think we have already seen enough scuffles among the team members. Thankfully, the hassles so far have contributed to forward the story and delve into the characters. But, given that we are reaching towards the end of Season 1, things among the Cats should ease down so as the team can concentrate on its prime goal:to overthrow Mumm-Ra and find the Stones. I believe we all loved and look forward to the team spirit and the serenity of the Thundercats team, which was so evident and characterized the OS. Over the last episodes the Tcats members are leaving their past behind and come to grips with the issues keeping them seperated.
An upcoming desagreement, for love reasons for instance seem to me pointless driving us back to the continiuty and progress of the plot. Why would Cheetara antagonize with Pumyra ver Lion-o since she is already smitten with Tygra. As for Lion-O after the Trials he has made pretty clear he has assumed the role of Leader and Lord more seriously and his mind should focus on the difficult tasks at hand.
Yeah, I personally think love-triangles should be laid to rest now for this series. For one, I don’t think it’s needed to make a Lion-O/Pumyra relationship interesting. There’s plenty of other ways to work with that. However, if they do decide to bring one back, I very much doubt it will be one that includes Lion-O and Cheetara. It’s a “been there, done that” thing. If they want to do a triangle that is between Lion-O, Pumyra, and another female character(Willa or someone else, maybe), well, that would be relatively more acceptable.
Do we know for sure that Pumrya is going to become a regular on the show? I hope she is… I’d like to see the Thundercat group grow.
But I think it would be convenient for her to be a “re-occurring character” rather than a regular. Hope I’m wrong.
I’m with Pum-Ra in this as well. That trope was used once in the series already. I seriously doubt they’ll repeat themselves when Pumyra is introduced. I do like that there are some romantic elements in the series because it makes it more plausible.
On that note, going back through my catalogue of episodes, I am glad that Cheetara chose Tygra and even more now with Tygra’s tragic backstory. It’s more plausible because both Cheetara and Tygra’s hardships were quite similar, giving them a better understanding of each other.
This is very true, and we shouldn’t run ahead! but the enthusiasm is reasonable. We should keep in mind that in the OS, at t he second season where the New Thundercast were introduced. They weren’t present at all the episodes and except Lynx-O, Bengali and especially Pumyra had very limited screen time an at some episodes Pumyra had just a short cameo.

If this was a series for adults on weekday nights..Cheetara may “change” her mind…but this is a kids show..so I can almost 100 percent guarantee that this isn’t going to happen.
Also It wouldn’t go with Cheetara’s character to change her mind. She is as i have mentioned before a very centered personality. Dependable, loyal and confident..She knows what she wants and has the confidence to go and get it. She got her man Tygra..and she is clearly very content with that choice. To change her mind will create a lot of conflict for her character and could be viewed negatively by fans. It would harm her character more than help it. Plus I think the Love Triangle has been played out and worn out..and we need to move forward with her character aside from just being in the middle of this rivalry with brothers…and the reality is if you looked at this in her perspective..THERE WAS NO LOVE TRIANGLE TO BEGIN WITH…She never had any interest in Lion O romantically..and his sudden maturity won’t change that. Cheetara is more of a sister/motherly figure to Lion O than a lover. He needed her nurturing support in order to overcome some of his insecurities …especially since his brother wasn’t being very helpful. Cheetara gave Lion O confidence..but unfortunately, Lion O misinterpreted that as her being romantically interested in him…he’s a teenage guy after all…It’s only natural he would feel this way.
I also think the idea that having the two female characters hating each other over a man..feeds a stereotype. And i would find it insulting if that is the case. What most likely will happen is “if” Pumyra is interested in Lion O..she might feel a bit insecure about Lion O’s relationship with Cheetara…especially after the love triangle thing. So there maybe tension there..but more directed towards Lion O than Cheetara… Probably because LionO may not be up front with his feelings.
The difference between Pumyra and Cheetara is that Pumyra is much younger than Cheetara, so there is still a maturity factor for her character to go through. Like any teenage girl there is always issue with self esteem and building confidence in who she is. I’m sure her biggest vice will be dealing with issues of Trust and bringing down some of the walls she’s built up for herself to keep from getting hurt. Pumyra will have to let people into her life..as supposed to keeping them out.
Cheetara is the complete opposite of Pumyra..she is a mature woman. Who is confident in who she is..and doesn’t feel threatened by anything or anyone. It is clear that she is extremely loyal and trusting of those around her. There is a free spirit factor about her character…and it seems when someone tells her she “can’t” she enjoys proving them wrong. A determined go getter..she wanted to be a cleric at a very young age and succeeded. She wanted Tygra and damn!! She got him…although it’s clear they had each other long before that kiss.

Thank you…I’d like to also add that I’m not suggesting that our Cheetara is perfect. Cause if thats the case..her character is going to end up being a tad boring…Her character needs some kind of conflict, and I think with her it’s related to her past..before she joined the clerics. I really think there is more to her story.. something she is hiding from the group…and her beloved Tygra…hopefully we will figure out what that is this season.
I do too. I can see her hiding stuff from Tygra, too. Hopefully nothing too embarrassing.
