After 13 episodes, you would think one writer might have been a woman at least. And I don’t know, but so far as to writers, so far no females.
Mostly character development/plot and as regards lack of female writers so far. Best example, the strong female pantheress, a glimmer of hope, was not given a name in the actual episode. No name; no value; none too subtle sexism.

Again, you can’t vilify them because of this. For all you know no female writers are interested in the series.

That was an odd mistake. We were only given her name after the fact, but I do think it was said that we’ll see Leo and Panthera again.

Oh please, Cheetara has been kicking ass all season. She isn’t just standing around watching the men. You are just looking for something to complain about there. :rolleyes:
In fact, Cheetara may be the only Thundercat to actually land a physical attack on Mumm-Ra. I can’t remember anyone else doing so.

Yes, Cheetara can hold her own, and occasionally give some advice that the men don’t pay attention to. But who is she? She has no clan. Why? What is her abandonment story, since all the characters have abandonment stories? It would have made her turning to the clerics all the more interesting if we knew her better outside of the men who surround her. Here was a missed opportunity.
Who is Tygra? Why was he adopted? Where are his parents?
See? Men are getting the shaft too. Your complaint shouldn’t be that the writers are sexist, it should be that they can’t leave Lion-O alone long enough to let us know about the other characters. It’s also only been 13 episodes, I’m sure we’ll get answers eventually.
Only because they chose to handle the relationship between Lion-O and Tygra as one of their first major story arcs. As far as character development goes Cheetara is doing just fine. At least she isn’t WilyKat or Snarf, they are an enigma.
Could they do more character development? Of course. This isn’t a show for adults, though. What we would find interesting would probably put the children watching to sleep.

can I just point out that Panthera was not the only one in Legacy that wasn’t called by name on screen? The reptile leader Rezard and jackal leader Shen (who were both males) also were not called by name in the show.
also many of the races we met did have females. fish people, petalars, swordsman villagers, berbils, and wood forgers all had women. in fact I believe the elephants were the Only race that didn’t.
Regarding all this i agree that some girls/women should be allowed to write to mix it up a bit. I have nerdy friends that write fiction which are both boys and girls. They write VERY DIFFERENT. Reading stuff from two of my male friends is not as fun as reading one from a male one and another from a female.
I give it a 10 because even though it does have flaws, so too do all things created by mortal hands and also it is one of my favorite shows on right now. i think it could be improved in some ways for character developement and abilities but unlike most shows right now, it(and MLP:FiM) has kept me watching consistantly.
It is targeting young men. Like Shonen anime does. It’s not a matter if it SHOULD it just DOES. As far as my experience goes only boys at the age of 9-13 (the age range is open for discussion) watch shows like this. The girls in the similar age does other stuff.
