Is it possible that Mumm-Ra isn’t driving, but is merely the one being transported.
It could be like Mumm-Ra having his own Pope-Mobile. A Pope-Mobile of DOOM!!!
I suppose a Lizard could’ve been driving for him. If it’s a two seater. You couldn’t really see inside the vehicle.
Yeah I’m not sure why people are assuming that Mumm-Ra is the one who is in fact driving it when the clips shown don’t really make that clear.
An 80s cartoon version of wacky races would be wonderful.
Actually, in Mumm-Ra’s case, it would be “Pimp My Sarcophagus”.

I actually like the idea of Mumm-Ra having a counterpart to Panthro’s tank. It evens the odds a bit. 
As for what the writers establishing technology as Third Earth’s form of magic, someone mentioned Clarke’s Rule: Science that’s advanced enough is indistinguishable from magic. So I think that’s what the writing staff is doing here, and it works quite well.
Also, somebody else brought up the point that Mumm-Ra could be traveling about in this conveyance to keep from expending vital energy that he may need in the future to transform in to Mumm-Ra the Everliving. So that’s worth keeping in mind.

OMG people… Mumm-Ra supplied all of the tech to all of the Mutant armies that ravaged the kingdom of Thundera in the pilot.
OF COURSE he’s gonna have a tank, ships, mechs and all manner of assorted weoponry for his own personal use.
If you are suprised at this you haven’t been watching very closely.
Or Mumm-Ra simply typed/spoke a few cordinates and let the tank drive itself to Mumm-Ra’s desired location.
Looking at the picture of the MummTank (that’s what I’m gonna call it), perhaps Mumm-Ra’s sarcophagus slots into the
tank and it’s controlled by Mumm-Ra’s thoughts (as opposed to my satnav idea above). That way MumRa has his sarcophagus near should he need to flee to replenish his energy.
I think it’s a way for him to avoid the sun light, like someone else mentioned. Yep it also conserves his energy.
My main beef is the design looking too much like the Thundertank. It would have been much cooler had it been the Fist Pounder introduced (with a Lizard or Grune driving it) Can’t help but feel a missed opportunity!
Being an huge fan of the LJN toys I don’t mind Mumm-Ra travelling in vehicles (he was often pictured with the Fist Pounder) but I’m not sure the self proclaimed ruler of Third Earth would drive himself about! lol

I haven’t gotten the chance to see last week’s episodes, but these teasers are pretty much spoiler free (nothing I didn’t already know) and I am super excited based off everything I’m seeing.
I don’t even mind Mumm-Ra’s tank–just with the face on it, it totally creeps me out.
What I’m really excited about is that I think we’re going to get the chance to see the other Thundercats possibly show their abilities a little bit more. I mean, the place is riddled with booby traps and it would be silly if Lion-O saved everyone from them all.
It seems to me Tygra could be more analytical / strategic than we think in this show. When Lion-o asks “Think they left a key behind?”, and Tygra replies “Actually they left a few” gives a hint that, while none of the others did, he was studying the room and saw the keys above them.

Mumm-ra driving a tank lol. It looks and sounds funny, not menacing. The vehicle itself has a nice design, especially when mumm-ra gets out of it.
It should have been some sort of sinister flying machine, a flying tomb or so or at least he should have a sinister driver!
Mumm-ra being all technology isn’t what I had in mind, I’ll get used to it though. As long as things get explained properly over the course of the show.
Either way it doesn’t really bother me as long as I get entertained.
It looks like no Grune next episode. The enemy looks like a disorganised bunch. Perhaps Grune is punished because of the mining disaster.
It’s good to see Slithe being scared of Mumm-ra, just like in the old show!
I hold my heart for the everliving form. Please don’t let Lion’o beat Mumm-ra, that would be so cheap for such a powerful sorcerer! Mumm-ra should win the race to the book especially as he is bashing Slithe’s ineptidtude!
Wow, glad I wasn’t the only one who caught that Harry Potter reference. But come on, Mumm-Ra is now riding a tank..wonder if it has a name, Sphinx? Well the sooner I get over tech savvy Mumm-Ra the better. I just hope we get a little Mummy vs. Lion action in the next episode :D.
But I agree the word “Whiskers” is really getting bothersome, they could have just gone with good ol’ “Darn”.
It seems like a few shows are trying to come up with weird curses for the characters.
Beast Wars really hammered “Slag” in there. I think the original show used it once or twice, but BW used it so often it basically became accepted Transformers vernacular from then on.
Briefly, I remember the 2002 Masters of the Universe show trying to make “Trolly Molly” Orko’s catchphrase. Thank God that didn’t stick, lol.
And in the 2003 Ninja Turtles show, it was “What the Shell?!” and THAT one guy VERY annoying after a while.

I don’t think curse word when I hear it. I agree with whoever said it. You can’t really curse, so why not use Darn, Heck, Shoot, etc. Yeah, it’ll sound silly, but nobody will hold it against you either given the circumstances. Inventing your own curses though? Well, I’m making fun of it now, so there you go.

The creators of the new show had to fight tooth and nail with the Standards & Practices people to get “Thundercats, HO!” permitted. You just know they have no remaining leverage to bring in something called “the fist pounder”.

And I can’t help but wonder if some of Mumm-Ra’s gear might be magitech (inverting Clarke’s Third Law and applying it to magic).
I like the idea of the TCs travelling and living in the Thundertank (they kind of live there now, right?), like a trailer. Sure living together in such a small place (for 7 people) will make them closer to each other… or make them wanna kill each other
