There is now a free theme and set of gamerpics up on the Xbox Live Marketplace. It could be Cartoon Network doing some major promoting of the cartoon, or it could be a hint of bigger and better things coming to consoles.

I dunno, I think I’m pretty happy with Thundercats: The Lost Eye of Thundera. I wouldn’t want them to try and top that one.

I’d be pretty shocked if there wasn’t a tie-in ThunderCats video game to be honest - IMO it’s only a matter of time! 
(I just pray that if it comes out they do a version for the PS3, as this is my platform!)

I’m sure they wouldn’t make it a console exclusive. Ben 10 has had (I think) 3 different games on current consoles and the Clone Wars even got a game, so it’s possible.
Who knows, they may even have ThunderCat items on the PS3…
I can’t remember the last time a licensed game from a TV show was worth playing. Hopefully they make a game for the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Store instead of a full game. Any title based on a cartoon will have to be on the Wii and that will hinder the potential of the greater console versions.
Unless they pull a Ghostbusters and have completely different graphics in the Wii version…though I don’t see that happening.

Yeah, what’s concerning me is that the video game for Batman: The Brave and the Bold (which I particularly wanted) was only released for the Wii and Nintendo DS!

I had an idea of an RPG called “Thundercats: Shadowspy” where you are a Shadris training to become the next Ocelot Thundercat. Your adventure takes you from New Thundera to Avia, Terra Nova, then finally Plun-Darr. There would be side quests for cool gear from the other Thundercats.
Good point, I forgot all about that. I don’t see it happening either, though.
That’s the problem with cartoon based games, it is so much easier to just throw something out there for the DS/Wii and make a quick buck.

I think the problem with a Thundercats RPG would be how do you come up with a RPG-worthy story without it either copying or interfering with the Show’s story?
Just to make things clear, the Shadris were an elite corps of warrior-spies and assassins in our story that were primarly made up of Ocelots.
We were inspired at the time by such games as Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force, Star Wars: Republic Commando and the Jedi Knight games. We liked their approach as while they took place in an established universe, you weren’t really playing any of the main characters. Rather you interacted with them as quest givers or NPCs that would follow you and help you out in battle. And I felt that was the best way to handle them in what we envisioned as an FPS.
I guess there’s still a lot of potential in it, and we could still make it a mod for an existing game. But I’m not a programmer and not very familiar with modding.
Do what Bioware did with Star Wars, take it to the past.
That mural we saw at the beginning of the premiere, that’s where the game could be set.
I think there should be an MMORPG where one can choose good or evil, with various “mutant” sub-species, as well as cat sub-species. But it’s tough for a licensed MMO to do well unless it has a lot of support. I fear it would end up like Clone Wars Adventures.
The theme really isn’t that great, pretty much all it is is one wallpaper. It would have been nice to have more to it, but it is free after all. The gamerpics are good though.
I’d prefer straight up action/adventure with platforming, like Prince of Persia.
Eventually we wll get a video game. It’s only a matter of time. CN’s hit shows get them. =/
I like that idea and if anyone on this board is a modder who’s interested, please pm me or Slithor.
If they make one, I hope they make it for Nintendo as well. I would prefer an adventure style game, like Zelda, as opposed to an action based game.
You can probably cast aside any “Wii fears”…Nintendo are releasing the Wii U next year which can easily match the power of 360 / PS3… so there should be no “dumbing down”.

I didn’t like that at all. I agree…I hope that there won’t be a full game for Thundercats…unless its a fighter game. That could be interesting.
