Ok guys, apart from the main characters (ie the cats), which characters from the OS would you like to see reimagined for the new series and why? How would you reimagine them? Also what characters do you think have no place in the new series?

Ill start things off…
Vultureman is an obvious must I think, although with a new name, and could easily fit in the new series. I don’t think he should be a general, perhaps a mercenary mumm ra orders to hunt the cats when the mutants (what do we call the NS collective now anyway? The generals?) fail him one too many times. There is great scope for animosity between him and kaynar, and there’s just as much scope for vicious creepiness. I’d like to see an ability for flight too!
The berserkers could make a great one or two episode appearance in future seasons and be a really mean threat to the cats, if they got rid of the cheese factor from the OS, I mean no gimmicky wheels in chests and names like top spinner and ram bam! They could be tech enhanced human pirates, almost cyborg like in appearance?
The warrior maidens again would fit in quite well into the NS mythos as the cats explore their world. I’d probably make them a little more feral, introduce more hunter/gatherer tribal traits, but otherwise keep them pretty much as they were? Perhaps the cats would need to go into warrior maiden territory to retrieve a stone, or maybe the stone could be a sacred relic to the maidens and they won’t give it up easily?
I think they missed a trick by not having hachiman do a cameo in the drifter/swordsman episode. But now I can’t see how he would fit into the NS mythos.
Snowman and snowmeow would make a great cameo I think! Snowmeow could recognise lionO as the one who helped him escape his capture and help forge a bond between the cats and the snowmen. I would like to see more of a snowman back story though, explain WHAT he is for a start. I envision a mor nordic warrior style look, and have him as a ruler or a noble of a kingdom within hook mountain.
What I WOULDN’T like to see return is the lunataks and captain cracker, I thought they were very weak additions to the OS and don’t think they would fit in well into the mythos the NS is creating.
Snowmeow already made a cameo in the Berbils episode. IDK about having the warrior maidens because the whole series has lacked any sort of humans. Everything else I agree with, however, especially the bit about the lunataks. Never really liked them.
I would really like to see the warrior maidens but only if they are human not animal based race. Yes I know technically we are animals but you know what I mean.
If they could make the Lunataks cool and only after two seasons I wouldn’t mind seeing them again.
@ hammy and rizefall, I know we’ve already seen snowmeow, that’s why I said it would be cool to see him recognise lionO as his rescuer when we meet snowman.
This has been discussed before. Most fans have also wanted to see Hachiman and Mandora. But since we haven’t yet seen any evidence of humans on this Third Earth, much less the presence of any other spacefaring civilizations outside of Mumm-Ra (who in this series is more like a Goa’uld System Lord than anything else), it may at least be a while before we see them, if ever.
I’d also like to see the Lunataks come back myself, especially if they can do for them what they did for Slithe, Kaynar and Addicus and make them legitimate threats. They were initially built up as Big Bads in the OS, then quickly became joke villains like the Mutants. Which always struck me as redundant because we already had one set of joke villains, why shunt them aside in favor of another set?
Though again like with Mandora and Hachiman, it may be a while before we see them. Hopefully if we’re lucky and the show goes on beyond its projected 52 episodes, we may get them.

As for the Lunataks, I think thats part of the reason I originally didn’t like them, they just became a joke. But with the serious threats that the generals in the NS pose, they are completely redundant now. I just don’t see a role for them. Even if it goes beyond the 2 season arc that is planned (which I hope it does), I still see a role for the disbanded, warlike generals posing a threat.
A bit similar to what we discussed in the other thread already, but here goes:
Lunatacks: For nostalgic reasons, I really like em. Really hope we get to see them.
Mandora: Really hope she shows up at some point, but I read that it was said by the producers that she wouldn’t be in the show. Can anyone confirm/deny this?
Warrior Maidens: Need to be in there (maybe a love interest for lion-o there, but not sure they will go the route of thundercats + humans though).
Those I don’t want to see:
There were some villains that failed to impress me, or downright annoyed me (captain cracker and his pirate crew), so np if they stay out. Safari Joe was another character I found boring, so no need for him to show up. There were more but can’t think of em right now.
(have to say though, the show does a good job of rewriting characters, so any of these could potentially become interesting in the NS if they get a make-over)
Villains from the OS that I’d like to see in NS are: Ratar-O(what connection might he have with Ratilla The Terrible?), Vultureman, Molemaster, Driller, Lunataks, The Berserkers.
The duelist looked like a cousin of The Count. He probably liked to count his swords in private. One! I have one sword. Ah ah ah. Two! I’ve taken two swords! Ah ah ah.
