Saw a new TV spot this morning, but don’t have it on video. Just wanted to let people know so they could keep a lookout. It’s short, but has a few new images and starts with Jaga narrating like he did in the Wondercon trailer.

Edit: saw it again. some new scenes include Thunderians at that festival dancing, Snarf being in the bell of a huge horn and gets scared when someone blows it, part of the invasion with Lizards shooting guns and Thunderians trying to fight back with bows and arrows, a group shot of the T-cats with Lion-O holding the sword out like they’re going to fight someone, and what looks like Lion-O seeing a flash of Mumm-Ra during that scene where he holds the sword for the first time (as if the sword is trying to warn him with Sight Beyond Sight).
Yeah, I’m ready to find the darn thing online. The one time I saw it was half over before I realized it was playing because I wasn’t looking at the TV. lol
Whoo, I just saw it. One of the new clips is of Snarf sleeping in a big horn, then, getting startled when I think Lion-O blows into it.
Also, there’s footage of Lion-O swinging the sword as well as a group shot of the ThunderCats. I think they’re going to be a part of the opening sequence.
Ok, this isn’t the one I saw and made the post about, but I’ve been searching youtube all weekend and I found a different tv spot. really, really short, but there is a new group scene with Lion-O, Tygra, Cheetara, and the twins running while Lion-O swings the sword.
After seeing these new TV spots (the one posted above and the 30 second one here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m48MauovmNA&feature=player_embedded ), I’m very interested to see the new intro. Is it just me, or does that ending scene of Lion-O holding up the sword look very much like an homage to the original intro’s start?
It seems all the more likely that shot might most certainly be from the new intro. By way I personally think that the new backdrop looks much better than the pink-ish one from the original.
It does seem odd that they’re pulling in children on their quest.
The one thing about the group shot that confuses me is that they look like they’re running out of the castle in full armor/weaponry.
I had figured that advanced gear like that had come from Panthro (who is still missing :sneaky:). At the very least, Tygra’s gun seems pretty out of place. I guess he took it from the invading lizards (who seem to have gotten the upper hand on the cats by acquiring advanced weaponry from somewhere else)?
castle? they’re in woods there. those are trees behind them. That probably happens after Thundera is already gone.
As for the kids. If you consider that their whole country was wiped out they couldn’t not take them. I mean what would you have them do? leave them alone to forage for themselves? Wouldn’t be very Thundercat-like.
