Thanks for posting the pics. Oh boy. This is not a good looking figure. It really looks like a mess. I just hope they do better jobs with Cheetara, Pummyra, Mandore, etc. Hopefully they will show these figures before production so that the fans can weigh in.

The mouth is way off. It is to tall and the shin to short. The eyes are to big and the eyebrows are too high and thick. Then of course it looks to have the trademark fat body armour which has ruined a lot of good figures that would have been excellent without it.

That face sculpt is probably the worst face sculpt in the entire MOTUC line. Teela has a history of having poor figures. The 200X Teela was also not one of the 4H best work.

I am kind of on the fence lately about the Thundercats subscription. I will have to wait and see what is announced/shown at Toy Fair before I even think about subbing. Then there is the financial cost to think about when considering other products that are out and coming out that really interest me.

Maybe the reason they don’t get her face right is because her expression is not properly executed. Such a pity, she is such a great gal!

I think they just have trouble with some face sculpts, females especially. There female face sculpts are not as good as DC Direct/Collectibles, NECA and Hasbro.

Hey remember now they have the 3d scans so there is no more sculpting from scratch so there is no excuse for that in my book!
If we the fans don’t buy it then they will learn the lesson but if we still buy it then they are not going to care and just produce what ever…

Meh. MOTUC, Transformers, Star Wars, G.I. Joe, WWE it’s all the same. The fans complain yet keep buying the stuff so the companies seldom listen.

Hey, MOTU is not that big of line now than were it was in the 80’s so the fans words count big time this time and if I’m not mistaken it already happened with one of the versions of Hordak MOTUC.

I think I know the Hordak you are talking about. It was still not correct as he did not get a Filmation accurate head sculpt, just the regular one re-coloured.
Since Mattel started making WWE figures in 2010 the leg joins were terrible and never raised far enough and 6 years later they are still exactly the same.
The MOTUC line is a small exception. To them some what listening. Sadly though they don’t listen well enough as when the fans complained about certain issues they did not alter it to stop other figures from having the same problems.

Since I not been a collector from the MOTUC, tell me about the many issues of their figures…

A lot of the earlier figures had very weak ankles that got worse the more they were moved. I can’t say if they have fixed this or not as I have not bought any I years and no longer own any. Goddess figures were notorious for breaking. They still continue to use the ‘fat armour’ on multiple figures and it completely spoils the look of the figure making them very wide looking, for example Sea Hawk, King Hssss, Hydron, NA Skeletor etc.
Quite frankly I wish the 4H would construct a new chest for the standard MOTUC buck as none of them can achieve a decent two handed sword pose. I don’t know about you or anyone else but I would quite like to have a Lion-O that could hold the sword with both hands.

Ive been keeping up with most of the postings and im all for the quality control and fixing previous issues with MOTU, but i first want to once again thank Mattel and FH for taking on a franchise that as of the last Tygra statue reveal last year seemed doomed to never getting a six inch toy line. I am one of those die hard fans that is over the moon to get these action figures (in multiples ). Im sure the line will be AMAZING and I still cant believe that i will get a line of thundercats designed by FH. Lets not forget TC flopped not too long ago and for a major company like mattel to step up to the plate is commendable. I mainly post this cause ive seen a few people that are “complaining” a lot and being overly demanding even before the line has been released…i see a lot of whining about subscriptions etc…if u dont want to subscribe then dont…this is for TC fans not Mattel FH critics…

I agree with you 100% … I collect MOTUC and like I said in a previous post, yes the line have issues, but man, it is one hell of a line!! 150 figures plus!! And just getting bigger and bigger. I have no doubt TC will be a success! Teela mightbe a mess, but like before they do listen and they do try and fix the errors. All the things Mark mentioned, the ankles the fatbody armour, all are fixed over time.. So yes lets get some cool ideas for them going instead of killing it before it started!!

I hope my posts didn’t come across the wrong way…or as whining. I was just pointing out all lines have faults, even though certain fanboys try to make it out that everything in the line is just amazing and perfect. I truly hope the Thundercats line is a massive success. I will buy a subscription but as much as I love Thundercats, all I can financially afford is one sub. It doesn’t mean I love it any less.
I wonder if we will get any post on here like those on He-Man.org saying they bout 7-15 MOTUC subscriptions ‘‘to keep the line alive so we can get (insert Character name)’’.

No particular post came across wrong…maybe im an over the top fan and even more fan of the toys, but I cant find myself anything negative to say bout this upcoming line…i honestly thought thundercats was finished…RIP status…No one prob here noticed, but just about every post ive made was the same plea for FH and Mattel to give TC the MOTU classics treatment,its prob been 3 years that ive reiterated that suggestion in these forums numerous times. I truly believe they are the ONLY ones that can revive this franchise. Ive purchased bout 70% of the MOTU classics and yes some may have “issues” but they are great over all. If anyone keeps up with PIXEL DAN and his reviews you can see that all the MOTU classics have nothing but good intentions behind them and even though sometimes there are things that coulve been done better, i never feel like they “cheated out the fans”. They gave us Castel Greysdkull for crying out loud!!..how awesome was that! Like “Gerrit” pointed out 150 plus action figures…thats a dream come true for collector. Can you imagine 100 TC classics toys! who cares if an ankle joint on some figure is this or the torso of one figure is that…Id hate for the line to flop because of low sales on the first 5 figures because vulturemans torso didnt have enough “feathers sculpted”… Nothing wrong with expressing our desires for this line, but I wanna make a call to all TC fans, LETS BE POSITIVE, HUMBLE AND THANKFUL…LETS SUPPORT THIS LINE BECAUSE NOW IS THE TIME TO SHOW THAT THERE ARE TC FANS OUT THERE! THIS IS IT FOR TC…ITS NOW OR NEVER, DO OR DIE…FH + MATTEL + TC=AWESOMENESS!
