Chique just mentioned the spoiler for the astral plane in another thread. But I didn’t know about the one after that ‘Between Brothers.’ I can honestly say I wasn’t expecting that this soon, unless Lion-O did/said something amazingly stupid. But I’m happy to see outcome of something set-up in the premiere, as well as Tygra development coming very soon. But what do you think will happen? I heard that these 4-5 eps to come would be about the sword and its abilities?.. maybe Tygra gets frustrated at Lion-O’s slow progress? Jealous that he has the sword? Please tell me though that this doesn’t have too much to do with Cheetara, because there really hasn’t been enough build up I think on either side to toss him into a jealous rage.

+1. We have no reason to believe Tygra has any romantic interest in Cheetara. He’s been impressed with her, but that’s about it. If he’s flipping tables about Cheetara and Lion-O at this point, it would look like he was only using her as another reason to resent Lion-O. It would make him look like he was using her as a pawn . Thus giving us a new guy to dump all over :mad::mad::mad:
Who knows though. Maybe we will see something more of the nature of CheeTygra next episode. Not necessarily romantic. Just something to pick over. It would be nice seeing as there is really only one notable relationship not envolving Lion-O, the WileyTwins.
I don’t think the issue of Cheetara will be enough to get Tygra into a jealous rage. It may become a factor like the final straw or a minor factor but I see the other issues Tygra and Lion-O have as being the more major contributors.
I see Lion-O’s and Tygra’s differing views as a major cause for them to eventually fight with Tygra’s more conservative noble attitude compared to Lion-O’s more progressive attitude. Tygra may end up thinking Lion-O is betraying what being a Thundercat means for example.
The other major problem is that Tygra’s superiority complex can cause him issues in 1 of 2 ways. He’ll either end up believing Lion-O doesn’t deserve to be king because he’s better than him. The other is that Lion-O beats him at some point and Tygra gets insecure and jealous because he feels he needs to be better than Lion-O to deserve his place in the royal family because he is adopted.
I agree as well. We haven’t seen Cheetara and Tygra really show any interest in each other at all really. So for all we could know, any love-triangle development could actually be something that isn’t actually happening but just percieved that way by Lion-O. The Berbils episode where Cheetara and Tygra were sleeping next to each other and she was against he arm is a potentially good example of this. That could easily be something like she was only resting next to Tygra because space was limited and Lion-O was on first watch.

“The Forest of Magi Oar”: I think this one will be a filler where Lion-o learns something. Hopefully we’ll some group action.
“Into the Astral Plane”: I don’t like what it says about the ep. Hope they don’t make Tygra a big jerk. When I read “The Astral Plane” though, I thought it might have something to do with his mental powers.
I don’t think it has to do with Cheetara, but with Lion-o having the aword. I think Tygra will come up with something like “you’re only better than me because you have the sword”.
Wonder what the “clash” will be about. Sound a promising episode, the most promising in a long time. But as I said, hope they don’t make Tygra a jerk.
"Between Brothers": this one sounds to me as a continuation of the previous one. Maybe “Into the Astral Plane” ends with the brothers in conflict, and in this one they work on their differences, try to understand each other and get a little closer.
I find it interesting that they changed the titles of two of the episodes. It was previously confirmed on another site that episode 11 was going to be called ‘‘The War Forgers’’ and ‘‘Into the Astral Plane’’ was pegged as a two-parter.
After the episode that’s now called “Between Brothers” was an episode called “Lost Causes” so maybe that gives a hint to where the story is going.
After that was the “Trials of Lion-O” two-parter (which I’m really looking forward to if the list was accurate) .
btw the forrest is where the elephants told Lion-O to go to boost the sword’s power to find the spirit stone and the astral plane is where they have to go to get it.
Maybe while they’re inside the astral plane they have to face their insecurities or something and that could be why Tygra looses it. Just speculation tho.
Wow. Im not looking forward to this anymore. Is Tygra suppose to be the lost cause who turns into a misguided villin who will see the light by a lion’s godly hand?:rolleyes:

I don’t think Tygra will ever become a villain. Just because he fights with or disagrees with Lion-O doesn’t mean he’s gonna go and turn traitor. Something that severe would rub a lot of fans the wrong way and could cause a lot of backlash.
I think what Chique meant to say (and correct me if I’m wrong) is that we don’t want to see Tygra doing something stupid out of jealousy, like leaving the gang or something, neither see him being controlled by his insecurities, just to have Lion-o “saving” him (of Tygra himself, that is) by the end with his complete strenght, kindness, etc.
On another topic, do you guys think the next episode, “The Forest of Magi Oar”, will introduce the Warrior Maidens?

By misguided I ment he’s not intentionally doing wrong. He doesn’t WANT to hurt his family and friends, but he has his own issues that get in the way of him being all that good. Kind of an anti-hero.
The Lion-O Ive been watching has his own issues that need to be addressed. Him showing Tygra the light would be not only inconsistent with his own character, but down right obnoxious.
Lastly, it goes back to TIGERS WILL ALWAYS DO BAD ( TYGUS, POSSIABLY TYGRA’S PARENT, STRONGLY SUGGESTED TYGRA)

Shuddddup! Tygra is not Tygus!
Since we’ve only seen two Tigers in this show I think it’s too much of an assumption to say “all Tigers are bad” or even that most of them are. Same goes for all Lions being good. We haven’t seen more than a few Lions either and the ones we’ve seen (Lion-O, Claudus, etc) definitely have a few major character flaws of their own.
Lion-O’s line about another Tiger doubting him was just him pointing out the irony of being in a familiar situation.
Unless I am wrong, Between Brothers would be episode 13. In a 26 run anime, usually episode 13 is a series turning point. Just a thought.

Yes, there have only been 2 Tigers. Which is why I think portraying both of them in a negative light would send the wrong message.
I know Lion-O didnt mean any real harm by it, but the above reasons are why it rubbed me the wrong way.
I’m confused. I’ve read that the next episode was called The War Forgers, and before that I read that Into the Astral Plane was a two parter, but now the title Between Brothers has popped up.
Anyway, I’m kind of hoping the episode summary about Tygra is exaggerating a bit. I think Lion-O may end up doing another stupid thing and Tygra will finally get fed up with having to follow him. Tygra may decide that he should be the one to lead the group, even if he isn’t officially Lord of the ThunderCats.

What I’m really hoping happens by the end of this arc is that Lion-O and Tygra can finally mend their relationship. Tygra was put in an unfair position, but he should see that taking it out on Lion-O wasn’t the right thing to do to his little brother, since it wasn’t his fault to begin with.
I don’t think this will be the case. Lion-O has been growing quite alot in the series so far and this will be the time when Tygra gets to grows up some. I don’t know why Tygra fans are so against this.
^ Personally I dont see all that much growth. I actually liked him more in the premier. Which is why, at this point him leading Tygra to the light seems like a bunch of bull.
I would love to see him grow and change into a better person. As a fan, im worried about the direction the writers will take to accomplish that. I dont know what they have in store, but there are some common story telling tropes/themes that I dont care to see my favorite character fall victim to.
Oh well, its coming down to the waiting game now.
I agree with you Chique. I’m kinda nervous about this, and not the good nervous. More of the ‘OhGodwhyisthisptcomingtomed/surginsteadofICU’ nervous. But it could turn out well. I kinda thought that Tygra was already being set-up as the anti-hero in the beginning, just maybe a little subtly (my standard for antihero is Vegeta and Zuko). Perhaps its that I can’t really anticipate precisely what they’re going to do that has me nervous. I want Tygra development, everyone wants development for the rest of the characters. But the way its carried out…eh, with the pattern having been set so far of, as Ideal once said ‘The Lion-O Show’, that’s what has me nervous.
But hey, I cringed when Zuko and Vegeta did stupid or morally incorrect things too. They’re still my favs 
We could even take the positive out of this, IMO, with what little has been given thus far, fans already have something of an emotional investment in the characters. This is always positive for a good series/story.
I think Episode 10 will be called “The War Forgers”.

It might, but if the forest is as enchanted as the elephant people said it was, then we might expect the Warrior Maidens to be different from the ones we knew in the OS. The forest of the original Warrior Maidens wasn’t enchanted, or at least it wasn’t presented that way.
Especially since we haven’t seen any Tigresses. 
I believe they changed the title. Even TVguide.com has the episode listed as “The Forrest of Magi Oar.”
The description for it says “the gang come across a school in an enchanted forrest.”
