Ok, I’ve been thinking, trying to concilliate PoV’s lol
What if, due to their history and brotherhood relationship, and given his youth and inexperience, and from what he saw in the Book, Lion-o does start mistrusting Tygra. Then Tygra finds out that and resents his brother for doing so despite all these times he had proved his loyalty even when he’s jealous and doesn’t always agrees with him. That would be a nice lesson for Lion-o, not to mistrust someone for what his ancestors did, and that poeple are not unidimensional, always what they show.
Wouldn’t Lion-O already not judge someone by what their ancestors did? I mean he did free the lizards in the premiere. I don’t think it’ll be an issue.
It’s not that I don’t understand what they were going for, it’s that it isn’t done very well. When the voiceover mentions the oceans we should be seeing these “vast oceans” but instead we are still looking at the laser gun when we should be seeing the oceans. Then Tygrus says that “the stone was located in a well protected city…” and we’re looking at the Tigershark guy swimming. The animation just doesn’t match up to the voiceover and it is awkward.
One thing I find curious in these flashbacks is Mumm-Ra. He’s never in his smaller mummy form, even when he’s obviously just standing around his pyramid and not fighting anyone.
The last episode he did call his Ever-living form his “true form.” I wonder if he gets the mummy form later on. Or maybe as a result of being defeated with the Sword. Could the Eye of Thundera have actually drained some of his power?
Okay so from the flashbacks we know that Mumm-Ra was commanding Leo and the Thunderians plus the various other animal species in order to recover the power stones. The question is who were they taking it from? Who does the ground canyon belong to?
Monstar was the villain in the cartoon Silverhawks. I imagine you could search you tube for some old episodes.
This makes me think. Perhaps each world or kingdom (this could all be happening on third earth) had an evil lord ruling over it and all the peoples. Each of them had a power stone. The ThunderCats lived under Mumm-Ra’s rule and he commanded them to steal the stones from the others. He got them all, but the ThunderCats rebelled and took one of his stones.
What I don’t understand is how losing one stone could have allowed them to overpower him.
I can’t believe how cool that clip is. I suddenly have visions of a classics sized Mako and the rest of the Tigersharks. Oh lord please make that happen. I actually DID love the Tigersharks show as a kid (all three or four episodes that I did see). I really hope we get some cool figures of Leo and Captain Tygus. This is a wicked cool flashback, and I’m so glad we got a to see some cool back ground shots of some awesome characters!
To be perfectly honest I don’t remember much about Tigersharks. Loved Silverhawks though. Would be nice to see a redesigned Miraj. I wonder if Melodia would still use a keytar. lol
If Monstar is being used in this episode the Silverhawks themselves must also exist within the same mythos so it’s reasonable to assume that they’ll probably show up at some point. Albeit in the far flung past via more flashback sequences.
They could make Mon*Star as long lived as Mumm-Ra and have the Silverhawks work with Mandora. Afterall they’re all cops in a sense.
Depends on how long Mon*Star lives though. I know in the OS he was at least 300 years old, but this flashback is well before that. The Silverhawks cybernetics could easily make them live long though. Stargazer was over 300 years old too.
Something tells me if the Thundercats guys had trouble with “Thundercats Ho” then Silverhawks might have trouble calling Bluegrass’s guitar “Hotlicks.” lol
