It’s interesting that Lion-O’s ancestor was named Leo since my origin story about the Sword of Omens also has a character of the same name.
There was a dark time in Thundera’s past called the Clan Wars where the people were at a point of near total chaos. Then a group of thirty found a neutral spot and prayed to the Ancient Spirits of Goodness. When they emerged, their chosen leader Dera cast a powerful spell that froze everyone on the spot. She created the Eye of Thundera using the will of those who wanted peace. Then she took the sword of the leader of the Lion Clan, whose name was Leo, and merged it with the Eye thus creating the Sword of Omens. After declaring Leo as leader, she choose the bravest warrior of each of the other clans to support him.
You and Lord Slithor always come up with good/plausible fanfic. 
Umm… Techincally it would be Leo that is the traitor.
That and how is a very green Lion-O going to lead a full scale rebellion this size? He can hardly manage his own little group of misfits right now.
I’m guesisng Lion-o has to get Tygrus on his side and they lead the revolt together.
Well if you hadn’t noticed ALL of the animal races at one time were serving “Lord Mumm-Ra”. I’m sure that Leo, Tygrus and the past TCats are the one that led the rebellion against him. This is foreshadowed in the clip we saw.
I’m not sure it means anything but the ancient high tech Thunderans have black rimmed eyes (kinda like the OS characters) unlike our current heroes.

by asking why, IF Tygus betrays Leo inside the book, Lion-O would see that as a reason to become weary of Tygra, his brother. I never actually said that I think Tygus is a traitor.
It says right there in the plot synopsis that Lion-O’s ancestor leads the rebellion against Mumm-Ra millenia ago. ALL the Thundercats are working for him then. And even in the clip Leo calls Mumm-Ra master too. And None of the cats in the flashback would still be alive to help or hurt Lion-O. Come on guys, pay attention.

I saw that too. Both Leo and Tygus have the “lines” under their eyes. Found it curious. I wonder if there’s an actual story reason for that.

Would you just look at ALL of those Thundertanks? I’m pretty sure at this point that the Thunderians came up with most of the tech seen on the show aeons ago and what Mumm-Ra possesses currently must have been based on it.
They did a nice job updating his look, I think, while making him readily recognizable.

Whoohoo another promising episode to look forward to. 
I think that will depend if Lion-o is nothing but a passive watcher when he goes back or if he’s actively taking part in events when he’s back there.

If Tygus stays true to his honor and Lord and doesn’t follow Leo in to rebellion why would that make Lion-o weary of Tygra?
Lion-o knows he has Tygra’s loyalty.

Why does Leo’s armor look like Lion-O’s? If a millenium has passed, you’d think that would have changed.

Maybe his name being Leo adds to the mythology of the show that that’s where the constellation got it’s name.

As soon as he discovered the book was blank, that’s what I assumed would happen.
I would hope the opposite would be true and that Tygus was extremely important in the rebellion and Leo’s most valued friend, perhaps giving Lion-O more of an appreciation for Tygra, especially if Tygus sacrificed himself for Leo.
Well Mumm-Ra told Leo to bring the stone to him. I assume that if Tygus was going to betray Leo he wouldn’t give him the stone. If he does give him the stone he’s probably in on it.
There’s also the possibility that it’s a trap. Mumm-Ra started talking about a rebellion and about how if there was one the cats would be the first to die as if he knew there was one planned. If he’s lead Tygus to believe that, Mumm-Ra could’ve sent Leo after the stone when in reality Tygus could be waiting on him to kill him.
Yeah, I thought about that too.
That Mumm-Ra sent Leo in knowing the other cats were laying a trap for Mumm-Ra himself.
The only slight difference in Mon*Star’s re-design is his wild, red hair. Other than that, I concur, his updated design is not bad at all.
However, what amazes me most about all of this, is the fact that Mako, leader of the TigerSharks [a series remembered by so few] is appearing in this week’s episode.
I am mostly curious about both Mon*Star and Mako’s roles in all of this. I’m telling you, this series is just full of surprises.
I’m excited about Monstar.. My theory is the Ancient Spirits of Evil created him and the bad guy from Tiger Sharks (T-Ray) as well, and they’re kind of Mumm-Ra’s “brothers”; I mean, maybe the ASoE created an evil creature for every planet or dimension in the universe, or from ancient times. Maybe they’re ancient forms of Mumm-Ra himself.
It seems Mako was a bad guy this time?
I’m also excited about finding more about the TC history, who were Leo and Tygus, how did the rebellion surge, etc (I’m tired of the traitor Tygus thing though).
On the other hand, what doesn’t excite me about the ep is that it seems it will be a Lion-o only episode, and we’ll see little or nothing about the others; what I’ve liekd about the previous two eps s that we learn a little more about Panthro and Cheetara, and I was lookibg for a Tygra or the kittens ep this week.
I never liked the OS eps that were about Lion-o only and the others showed up just at the end; I like the team-work eps like last week’s. I really don’t know if I could stand 24 minutes of Lion-o’s growth. Good ting there is th history thing, and hopefully it will be jut 5 mins and then back to the group action.

I never eve watched TigerSharks or SilverHawks and find the appearances of Mako and MonStar freaking awesome.

I think it’s possible that the planet they’re attacking is Brimstar, Mon*Star’s planet, and maybe Mumm-Ra and him were at war with each other. Maybe.
First off, I think this should of been directed at me seeing I was the one that brought this all up.
Secondly, Lion-O wouldn’t be weary of Tygra just because of what Tygus did in the past. Tygra, himself, would have to show some questionable behavoir down the road for Lion-O to think that history is repeating itself.
Third, this is all pretty much random and baseless speculation on my part. I was just bringing up a possibility and it’s probably wrong. No big deal.
