I was curious who owns a MIB Sword of Omens? Which packaging is it in? Is it on a flat card or in a box? LJN? Rainbow? Toy Options? Just trying to get a feel for what is out there, thanks

I thought this only came boxed, considering I stumbled across one, and lost it, on ebay around last September. No idea there where variations on this item. Look forward to see this thread expand then.
Just so folks don’t get confused… Rainbow Toys and Toy Options are the same brand, as they were the same company 
However the ‘Rainbow Toys’ logo didn’t appear on the ‘Toy Options’ card. I called those cards ‘Toy Options’ due to the address on the back… (which is quite odd since the ‘Toy Options’ company, now ‘Character’ didn’t produce ThunderCats!) The reason for the address of Toy Options on the card backs is that Rainbow Toys were based in the same building as Toy Options/Character! So it’s very confusing! lol
I’m also not sure there was a ‘flat’ card for Rainbow/Toy Options logo releases?
Oh and I have the boxed USA LJN version in my collection 
I am not sure but i think the Rainbow Logo 2(i call it so because i think this Sword doesn’t have the Toy Option address) is a bit rarer than the Rainbow logo 1 version. You don’t see it to often on the net.However, the rarity scale among the swords is almost identical. they are all precious on the same level.
Out of my best recollection, i haven’t seen either a ‘flat’ card for Rainbow
I have to disagree my friend, Although they are all rare, and they show up very infrequently for sale MIB. that Rainbow that was just on eBay was more rare than the others. my reasoning behind it is as follows:
- It was an 8 Back card, Identifying it as a series 1 release
- It was an exceptionally early Series 1 release as it does not have the “2 collectors points” on it that appeared on the later series 1 released swords and all other series (except maybe Series 3 swords, because the promotion could have been over by then)
I regret not being able to buy this one! as i doubt a specific example such as this comes up for sale again!
I would like to hear others opinions on this specific topic!

For reference - Here is the MIB “Side Mount” Rainbow 8 Back - I would like to know if the other Rainbow that was voted on is also an 8 Back? This is pretty early because it didn’t even have redemption points lol

I would like to ask though, are you sure the 22back sword, the ’ top mount’ has the Toy Options’ address because i think it doesn’t?
I am gonna check it out when i receive the Sword, next week!
No, I have no idea about addresses and such, I just know that it is has the “lion’s Head” symbol and the “22 Back” specifically the address on it, i do not know…
I don’t know…I’ve seen a few of those in my time of collecting…the one I’ve least seen is the 2nd Rainbow logo and the most common the series 3 (Toy Options version) Don’t quote me, but I think both Rainbow logo Swords were 8-backs. I quite sure the one I had as a kid was off a 2nd Rainbow card.
It should do Lordore. That is definately a ‘Toy Options’ card as it’s a UK release and has no Rainbow logo, so can only be a ‘Toy Options’ card.

Yep that is the series 3 release of the Sword, but with Rainbow logo! First time I’ve seen one of these since I was a kid (were those pics from that recent eBay auction?) Yep there shouldn’t be a Toy Options address on this one. Instead it should have a Northampton address on it!
