Mezco ThunderCats toys in 2015

Is that it?..just a mega scale tigra till october?..i have to say im extremely disappointed. ..what does a one:12 mean?

Happy for those that collect the mega scale line. But I’m quite disappointed in no action figures. All that hype for a mega scale Tygra? I’m left feeling quite deflated

Anyone not familiar with One:12, check the first two pages of this thread to understand more.

Mezco has said they have a license for One:12 ThunderCats, which itself is promising news.

Maybe they won’t announce any other ThunderCats toy line this time, maybe they will. But remember Toy Fair isn’t until next week and no company will reveal all their upcoming toys/plans so early.

Having 4 of the other mega scale characters I am excited to hear Tygra is on his way!

That’s what I was thinking as well. I am still hopeful that they will officially announce the new scale in the future! Does anyone who understands licensing know if they would have in fact had to pay more to acquire licenses in two different scales?

Tygra!

More news would have been better, of course, but I am still really excited about this!

It’s nice to know that there may be One:12 Thundercats at some point in the future. Hopefully they would commit to at least the main 4 cats and Mumm-ra.

I love the Mega Scale figures, and I was soooo bummed when it seemed like they were all done. I know everyone has their own opinions, but I think their sculpt, paint, etc. is awesome, and for me, these are the definitive action figure versions of these characters. I really wanted a Tygra, and I’m incredibly stoked to get him! Waiting until October is a long time! It’s kind of a bummer that he won’t be out before SDCC because that means there wont be an exclusive I guess. A translucent or phasing Tygra would have been amazing! Can’t wait to see the details in his whip! I hope he comes with a retracted version too.

Here’s hoping there is even more news to come soon!

If they do this 1:12 scale too then there’s no way we’d get a full line up. It’d be too hard sell. My bet is they’d only do Lion-O and Mumm-Ra in that scale.

1:12 scale for ThunderCats would be about 6 inches, I don’t see why that scale itself would be a hard sell.

The difference is their 1:12 scale line is called One:12 and that’s a unique line with fabric and not sculpted clothes, so the cost would be higher. It would be in the $50 price range and not under $20.

So today, we only got to see promo artwork, but we now know for sure that Tygra is up next in the lineup.

$50 would be a bit pricey for many. I would certainly buy them, but would have to cut back on other things to afford it.

does anyone (that has maybe some insight and not just ur opinion) know what are the chances that a line of figures will actually be revealed this coming toy fair?

I love that Tygra artwork. <3

I urge everyone that is intending to purchase the Tygra Mega-Scale figure to Pre-Order it when(if) they put it up for Pre-Order. Even if you do not have any of the others, start with this one and Pre-Order it. I say this because if they have yet to determine what they want to do as far as producing and releasing a 1:12 scale line, the only thing that will push them to do it will be SALES. A group of twenty or so on a message board saying they want it won’t push them to do so, the only thing that will be sales numbers. Maybe they are just trying to down play it so they can have a surprise for Toy Fair, that is a possibility but in all likelihood, they are waiting to see how the Mega Scale Tygra sells before making any decisions for another size line. So, EVERYONE PRE-ORDER TYGRA if and when PRE-ORDERING IS MADE AVAILABLE!!

Called it. It was silly to expect anything but the mega scale Tygra. They are doing it to get people like me off their back; people who have been harassing them since Cheetara was released.

Even if they do release anything in their one:12 scale, with a price tag of $65+ EACH, then I can see them only releasing Lion-O and Mumm-Ra.

I will say that if Tygra sells well, Kittens and Jaga can happen. That’s our best hope for a main cast set.

Totally. :3

Agreed! All this hype on twitter for just one Mega Scale figures seems like they have more up their sleeves for TF2015.

Not to mention they have the option to do One:12 scale line, IMO we’ll see a surprise from them and/ or another company considering its the 30th for the Cats.

Could you imagine a toy companies revealing their full products for this event and folks constantly hounding them up until the main event for a much desired product like Thundercats?

“ThunderCats” is like Crispy Cremes Donuts…

Said this on the other thread but I will say it again.

For the people that want Tygra I am happy for you.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed that we are not getting a new proper Classics action figure line. Who knows though, we still might see something unveiled at Toy Fair.

If we get new figures it would be great but if not I honestly don’t care anymore as I can put all the cash I would have spent on them in with the funds for a dream come true project I am working on.

I’d love to see how your project turns out, Mark. :3

I agree…

I am happy for the fellows that dream of Tygra’ statue all this time !

But I’m very upset about the definitive death of the Classics line !

Can you imagine a long waiting 30th MOTU anniversary and Mattel decides to release a…Man-at-Arms statue ???
It’s dull !

I’d like to hear more about you project !
I hope you can reveal it soon…
