I was picturing a possible pot shot at “Beaty and the Beast” in some episode where Lion-O has gotta play the part of King Lion-O formally. Remember when they were dressing the Beast up for the party and they dolled up his mane? Everyone around him was trying to find the right words for the look and the beast just glares at the mirror and announces “Stupid?”

Or they could have a little fun and possibly play with some Lord of the Rings hair styles too.
Though I’m more in favor of keeping the wild mess short with scissors and haircuts. I’m sure the Thundians may have heard of them.
I still think it would be adorable if see Tygra at least try to straighten Lion-O’s mane up once in a while. Older siblings do that stuff doesn’t matter how old you get. 
I imagine he’ll eventually be about as big as his father and be able to finally kick Tygra’s butt for once. He’ll probably even surpass Tygra in height by an inch or two like in the OS.
I actually think Tygra was taller but lankier in the OS. (It was tough to tell with the mane ;)). Bengali and Lion-o were about equal in hight.
If I remember correctly Lion-O was nice of a mix between bulk and height. He was almost as tall as Tygra and almost as bulky as Pathro. So he could play the height and aglitiy advantage on Pathro and the strength advantage against Tygra.

He’ll rock a sweet mullet and wear a “members only” jacket with some acid wash jeans as a nod to the 80’s in general. 
Don’t forget at least one bad guy that looks like David Bowie’s Gobblin King. How many young children do you think were traumatized by that glitter make-up alone?

A passage of time would make sense since building their arsenals will take some time if they are going to be realistic about it. It would also make a nice story touch if the Thundercats are forced to go into hiding while Mumm-Ra oppresses the planet. Then later after building up a resistance, they return in force.
But, if Lion-O is to get any obvious age we will be talking about 10 years…
That would put the Thunderkittens at Lion-O:s current age… but more importantly it would make Cheetarah older.

It doesn’t make sense to me. If Lion-O ages, he will be oldefr than Tygra and Cheetara, unless he ages just a couple of years, or they all age.
BTY, in the OS first season, Tygra was taller but thinner, which made him more agile. In the second season, they made Lion-O slightly higher than Tygra, which you can see in their closest interaction: their confrontation in Cats Lair’s hangar in “Crystal Canyon” and the final scene “Mossland Monster”. Although in the 1st one, Tygra has been “consumed” by the keystone, and in the second one he was loweing his head a bit, so it’s really hard to say.
If we’re all saying he’ll age naturally, how exactly would he be older than Tygra or Cheetara?
Tygra tended to slouch when he was feeling uncomfortable too.
I always went by Bengali.
Tygra was a couple inches taller then Bengali when Bengali was first introduced. Bengali and Lion-O stood shoulder to shoulder next to each other. So I always assumed Tygra had a couple of inches and was the tallest in the Lair. (Manes not counted in this analysis. I always went by how shoulders lined up.)
Because, I’m afraid producers will forget to age Tygra, Cheetara and the kittens as well. Just a hunch.
Also, just because “we’re all saying” (and honestly, I dont know why you say “we’re all”… not everybody in this board has given his opinion yet :D), that he will age naturally, it doesn’t mean it’s going to be that way. We’re assuming, hoping, wishing, etc that it happens that way, but we don’t know if the producers will have it to happen somehow magically (just like Merry and Pippin got taller in LotR, for example).

I assume it’s a natural aging process. However, for as few episodes as they’re going to make, it seems like it’ll happen too fast.
Personally, I like the size of Lion-O and Tygra better than the size of Claudus and Grune. Yeah, not attracted to big muscles at all. I do not like how body builders look with their super big muscles. Jus’ sayin.’
Yeah, I hope Lion-O doesn’t get quite as big as Claudus, Grune, and Panthro.
I’m wondering how Lion-O will build the muscle. It’s not like he has a gym to train in and he’s on a mission, so I don’t see him taking a lot of time to do push-ups and pull-ups to help strengthen his arms. Although, I suppose if he keeps pulling boats like he did in that last episode, that’ll help.
Fighting an evil demon tends to give you a good work out.
I think what they said was Lion-O would age in the new series, but not literally like in the old one, meaning he’d MATURE.
Remember Pathro was his and the Thunderkittens trainer. (I suppose in this series Tygra’s too)

Pathro is going to be in a very BAD mood.
As for the body builder look. Pathro makes a certain amount of sense. He’s a leopard. Claudis I think they just wanted to nail home the fact visually he was a unstoppable mountain of a man. Not anything soft about him.
Lion-O and Tygra really looked small and very young sitting next to Grune and Claudis at that table.
You know? It just occured to me that Pathro being the ‘father’ figure of the group might be the reason they made him so big. He’s big enough to play ref for Tygra and Lion-O whent he claws come out. If you think about it-- when they find Pathro and he joins the group he’s inheriting to kittens and two teenagers.

That’s more acceptable to me than a phisical change (growing and aging).
