Also addicted to new series and on his way to collect the figures. I think this show pretty much nailed the old fans into becoming a cashcow for the new series’ figurines and toys… which I shall gladly do for the sake of Thundera.
Everything was great about this episode except Leo and Mumm-Ra deciding to go power rangers on us.
well none of that makes me feel sad at all.
i can slide by with alot of it if i wanted though. my 5y/o daughter has been in nonstop Thundercats mode since they starting running promos 2 weeks before the show aired, so i can always blame my current Thundercat addiction on her

Lion-O, you are a silly boy, and you make me laugh (affectionately). But now I’m going to have an even harder time taking the Lion-O/Cheetara romance seriously.
I wanted more Tygus, if only because his design appealed to me so much. Too bad such an awesome looking character had to be so minor.
Leo’s armor looked silly. I’m not a big fan of those mecha armors. I can see a future where the ohers only play a part in fights until Lion-O powers up.

I enjoyed the episode, but I was so surprised when it was over. It felt shorter than usual, even though it wasn’t.
Yup, didn’t really mind it and it was a fantastic ep but I’d love more group-based eps too.
Yeah I really think it was mostly just the helmet felt a bit weak/unmemorable at the time.

Same, loved it even with my little nitpicks of a piece of Leo’s suit. I love the “history” and scale they’ve created.
I loved the episode, Mumm-Ra and Leo/Lion-O going all power rangers was a bit predictable. But i guess the younger viewers are used to that sort of thing.
Of course the episode leaves a lot more questions to be answered i.e. Where do the Thundercats come from ? Are the Lizards and co the results of Mumm-Ra’s genetic experimentation or did he enslave them in the process of getting the stones of power.
And it’s left open Mumm-Ra’s origin, something I hope they explore. Just to see why Mumm-Ra is the way he is and what drives his lust for power.
I’m not sure but as they also said in the first ep they did control the best lands for themselves instead of sharing and uniting as Leo just told them. Selfishness usually get’s you hated.
I was looking forward to this episode, but… it sucks! I didn´t enjoy watching it, at all. God-aweful Spawn-Mumm-Ra and Power Ranger-Lion-O, o wait; Leo (watch out for more toy variants!), very dull and rushed Eye of Thundera explanation. Just rushed throughout and boring. It lacked suspence. It was just Lion-O, o wait; Leo, and Mumm-Ra.. o yeah and that cat-chick. This is how “our ThunderCats ancestors” defeated Mumm-Ra? snooze The preview clip really showed the best scenes.
I did dig out my Mon*Star figure and added it to my (vintage) ThunderCats display, so thats positive I guess.
I honestly did not suspect for one minute that either one of them was going to go that direction. I assumed there would be a brief little fight resulting in Mumm-ra being trapped. I don’t think anything in the episode really gave a hint towards powered up armor suits. I think if anything, it was almost TOO unexpected as neither of those cases has been in the Thundercats lore in the past. I liked seeing all the animal species, and I’m assuming the elephant tusked creatures might be the tuskas? I’d also guess that the actual Tigershark species will give us a cool friendly character in the future.
My confusion was the eye of thundera being stolen. Wasn’t it on a planet with squid people a few episodes ago? Was that scene the same battle? I was assuming it was, but it seemed kind of different to me. I wish they had done the “forging” scene a little better. I was half expecting to see a bengal tiger character hammering away at it. Over all, awesome episode, and one I plan to watch again this weekend on demand.
Just to say, you don’t know if there will be more to be explained. Probably there will be.
We really don’t need any of the Thundercats. Lion-o can do it all. There is no hero’s journey unless the hero has a weakness to overcome. Lion-o is too Gary-Stu to be sure.
Whole episode could have converyed all the information in half the time through Leo, not Lion-o taking Leo’s place. Lion-o should have been the observer. Paradox: why would his action’s determine all? A record should not be changed? Can’t have it both ways.
Ah, the vacuum of space (once they crashed back through the ship leaving gaping holes.) Thundercats are still immune to it. Should we talk about parsecs?
It would be really nice to see women as people with…wait for it..names! The pantheress should have been acknowledged once by name. Lion-o in Leo’s body must have had that info, otherwise, he would have never known enough to release the other animals by hitting the computer keys, etc.
Still no clue as to what planet Third Earth is, and what was going on with a magnetic storm?
Too much time wasted on a kaiju battle. Lion-o has skills too great for his age and experience, except if he were tapping into Leo’s skills in this episode in particular.

I liked the episode. I do think the War Stone belonged to Mon*Star and the red moon orbiting Third Earth is Moon Star.
@Nine Tiger, the woman was named in the chat with crewofomens. Her name is Panthera. The fact that she is named, but it wasn’t mentioned on the show, makes me think this is not the last we will see of her

I was really thinking they were going to cut all the space opera out of thundercats- glad they didn’t. I know alot of people don’t like it but I love it, and the japanese do it well :)!! Give me old school star wars and star trek any day

-Underwhelming. Mumm-ra isn’t tough, he is a fleeing *****.
-Fighting is bland just a lot of lightning.
-What with al the robot transformations?? Didn’t like that
-They are tying in alot of characters yet it only seems to be about lion’o and mumm-ra

Well it’s an entirely different story, I can live with that but it’s just rushed, too many characters, too much to tell and all that in 22 minutes
My biggest dissapointment is that the the main mutants of the original show probably won’t be united in this show, there just isn’t enough of slythe and so far nothing of the others. I miss the crazy inventions of vultureman, the crazy fight choreography of the old show

Lots of action figure potential with this episode…lol…I could army build those cat guards all day.
I actually liked Leo’s armored up form. It made wonder what other species armored up would look like, Tiger, Lizard, Monkey, ect. If folks don’t like it, to each their own.
If Mumm-Ra was that massive and cool looking with just two of the stones, I wonder what he’d look like with all four stones.
this ep was horrible the worst of the new series
the only thing good bout it was we may have found jackleman and his friends for the future and also the sword of plundorr was used
this felt like a toy commercial since it started especially with the stones, they reminded me of the 2000 heman ep anwart gar which was to me one of the worst eps of that series as well. the silverhawk intrusion also was something i didnt wanna see cause i hated that series as well
alll in all this was a major disapointment especially since this ep was called legacy, it should of been called toy stones to make you stronger and sell at your toy stores 
I thought the same things. It’s not a bad story they r telling, but it dosn’t feel like Thundercats.

As for the stones why is everyone so surprised? We’ve known for a while now that they’re going to be searching for stones that power them up. It’s not been hidden from us. It was in one of the very first press releases for the show.
