Again no one here is complaining about it not being exactly like the OS. Are you arguing just for argument’s sake? I don’t get what you’re so angry about here.
I loved the MonStar cameo but i never saw the Tigersharks so i didnt get that reference.
I know who he is (watched Silver Hawks when I was a kid)… I meant to ask what role he played in this ep. He was shown along the other imprisoned species, so was he one of them? Or a General of Mumm-Ra’s army like Captain Tygus? What was he in the NS I mean? 
Perhaps it was his tech and planet they were stealing the stone from. His transformation was similar, no? I’m just going by a recent video, not my memory.
Whiskers has become one of my pet peeves in the show. I hope it gets phased out as Lion-O gets older
Interesting backstory. Still lots of unanswered questions.
Two things I didn’t like though:

Lion-O should have been an external observer. I really would have liked to have seen the real Leo making decisions and not Lion-O scrambling to ‘do the right thing’. Makes me feel like we didn’t even see the actual past events play out.

The powered up armor. I rolled my eyes and made sure I was still watching Thundercats and not Voltron or something.
Upside…this wasn’t really a Lion-O-centric story even if he was playing Leo. I liked Panthera and the Puma(?) Clerics were pretty nifty (though the black sclera is still odd).
Book of Omens apparently existed before the establishment of Thundera on Third Earth. So the theories about tech being banished are still potentially valid. That Thundertank had to come from somewhere, so it makes me wonder if there is a tech-using village of cats out there waiting to be revealed.
I thought the whole Super Mum-Ra/Super Leo faceoff was great!!! I can’t wait for Lion-O to get the stones and see a new fight on this same dimesion, or is this wrong to see?
I really enjoyed this episode. I thought the new armor and fight scene was awesome.It was also cool to see all the other species too. And I liked the back in time stuff. Robby
I would also like to see if Bengali, Pumyra and Lynx-o are brought into the show or anyh other new characters, Plus the Lunaticks were cool too.
I, on the other hand, think they find it funny and are puhing it down our throats so we get to like it sooner or later… guess they want to turn it into a show’s related-line and people associate it always with TCs. I’m sick of whiskers.
He didn’t really play a role in the episode. He was just there as an easter egg I suspect.
I would have picked Panthea.
Even when it was a good episode, I didn’t finish to like it. I think I feel like upinout.
My impressions and points to discuss:

[li]If the Cats (Leo) freed the other animals, then what did they do for the animals to start hating them again? The lizardman Lion-o freed in the first ep said all the other animals hate them. I guess the cats are natural traitors, slavers, bullies or whatever.[/li][li]Didn’t like Tygus been made the bad guy alone… I’m pretty sure that would cause more trouble between Lion-o and Tygra (don’t ask me why, I KNOW it doesn’t have to be that way, but I can bet my hand on that)… with Lion-o giving another moral lesson and Tygra getting somehow humiliated.[/li][li]I didn’t like Mumm-Ra’s final form… didn’t like it at all.[/li][li]Also, Leo/Lion-o’s transformation… wht was that? Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac? Wss that the GoldenCloths from the constellation of Leo?[/li][li]As I said before, it would have been great if the sword was forged by white tigers, as a reference o Bengali.[/li][li]I’d have liked to see more of the other TCs as well (but that’s me who have never liked one-character centered episodes).[/li][/ul]
Y’know, one thing I really liked about this ep was the Jackal guy, he seemed so intelligent, and I loved his voice. I really hope Kaynar is similar.
I know, that was one of the reasons I was jumping up and down like a nut. XD Makes me wonder if they may have plans to meld Bengali and Pumyra into one character (to which I Pray NO! Please for sake! XD)
But I’m so squee over the female I saw, that hairstyle was a perfect match to Pumyra’s OS style. On a side not, let’s hope they don’t put her in a skirt again.
Back on the episode, I hope it takes them forever to find all the stones, XD I don’t wanna see that mecha suit for awhile.
Nice. Not quite as mind-blowing as I would have hoped, but still pretty cool.

Again, it’s always interesting to see things you thought of being realized on screen, but still kind of weird.[/li][li]We already saw in the preview clip how they placed Silverhawks and Tigersharks in the same universe as Thundercats here. Let’s hope they run with that more.[/li][li]It was cool to finally see how the Sword of Omens was forged. I don’t think the OS ever gave it a proper origin. (No, the Wildstorm comics don’t count.)[/li][li]On the armored Mumm-Ra and Lion-O. I can see where this might divide the fandom. It seems a little out of place and a transparent shill for a new figure variant. I don’t know if I want Ronin Warriors or Saint Seiya in my Thundercats. But as long as they don’t overdo it.[/li][li]I was going to point out the similarities to the Infinity Gauntlet. But having read the previous posts, at least it’s good to know it was intentional.[/li][li]Did anyone else notice the mention of the moons? As in plural? Obviously it looks like there might be room to introduce the Lunataks later, if they come from there.[/li][li]The episode still raises a few more questions. As someone else said, where and how did Mumm-Ra come by all these animals? And why is it called Third Earth exactly? Something tells me we’ll get those answers eventually, but still it’s hard to wait for them.[/li][li]“Now I know what we have to do.” I have to give credit to the showrunners for finding a clear goal and direction for the show this early. I’ve seen a few shows that have taken over twice as long before they figure out what they’re about. Uniting all the animals along with finding the other stones is a very intriguing idea; one that I think further differentiates it from the OS. Very cool. [/li][/ul]
Overall, not bad. I’m 100% on board with this show now. Bring on the next episode!
I’m starting to think the real treasure of El Dara will be more knowledge than gold.
Also noticed that one of the previews wasn’t in the episode. It’s the one where Tygus lands and takes the Warstone. Why was that cut out?
That or Lion-O’s mecha suit will look different since he is a different person.
The female (Panthera?) was great and sexy! Lion-o was an inmature douche though lol
Well just got done channel surfing an saw snarf an orko on Robot Chicken and still thinh this new show is better than the original. OS was goo1d but modern storytelling is much much better, anyone think we’ll see RoBear Bill in the Future?
Thundercats, Silverhawks and Tigersharks all have ties to Rankin/Bass which is probably why the NS is giving these cameos to the other shows, but i did love Silverhawks an a reboot of it as a spinoff of NS Thundercats might be cool to see.
